It does look like it's spike again, yeah. I'm a bit confused, though, because if it was Henry or Jakob's faults, we probably should have seen more of a problem in the last season. I guess a large number of people could be completing more of their level 3 seals, but the gap almost feels like too much. I mean, it's basically 1.3 merges' worth of points. I don't think CYL even spiked it that hard.

Has it really spiked again? I know it had spike when CYL hit. This is the first time I've tried staying in 20 since CYL raised the bar to what's usually too high for me, so I'm not sure how it's been progressing since then. 

Great score, good luck staying in tier 20. I didn't even try yet. 

The score raised from week to week, because people upgraded their seals. Now most people in tier 20 should have 4 level 3 seals for maximum score boost.

To think a few weeks ago I got pushed out of T20 once because I couldn't get to 4920. New high score.

Anyway, team's Ryoma(+1S), Reinhardt(+6), Hector (+2), and whatever askr bonus. Anna has the expensive shit like dual spur so my score will likely drop a bit next week since Alfonse and Sharena don't have that, but maybe i can at least get swordbreaker 3 for Sharena. I'm out of 4* Reins now, though. DB is a good banner to pull blue so i'll pull db with what orbs i can find after ryoma banner ends.

I have a massive pile of Chroms, though, so I can start giving the trio aether too.

Phew, this week was pretty hard. I got a score of 4888 which is pretty overkill to get back to tier 20 but that's better than hanging on a thread.

On Arena Assault I still need to do a deathless run, right now my score is 4775 which is unnaceptable. Something of notice is that bows seem to be more common than Reinhardt on the 698-710 range. Raven tome meta incoming?

Got a new high score of 4844, though it's only 4 points higher than my "normal".  Was on pace to break 4860, but then a 700 point team came up that I challenged (my normal is 690-692, was fishing for 694-696 while doing the flag quests).  It was literally the same exact team as mine, except with more merges, higher level seals, and not caring if anyone died.  I got obliterated bad.

Guess I'll wait another two weeks before trying to break my record again, as I have no reason to beat it next week when I'll likely be back in tier 20 with no way of staying in it.

The Bow Lyn invasion had Arena Assault like this ever since she released. It's why I built both Robins and Sophia to be TA Raveners. I also leveled up a throwaway 4* Setsuna specifically as a fourth because Brave Lyn was so prolific.

So I decided to get my arena assault out of the way today too.

Bunch of normal teams, horse cancer and all that, then I see a 710 point team with a lead Lissa. Gotta be bait for some +10 horror horse team or something, right?

Looks like I'm probably dropping out of 20 still. I've gone down about 400 places since yesterday, putting me just 300 above the current cutoff. 

I tried cycling some matches to see about another higher score run, but even using like 10+ dueling swords I ended up settling with two 706 value matches so far. Haven't seen any 710's popping up, so a better score might not happen. 

Which Askr trio unit should be the bonus the next 2 seasons? If it's Sharena I might have a problem with bonus units, since I wasn't planning to pull on whatever the new banners are coming up in favor of saving for Christmas.

I'd say because Reposition, Hit and Run, and Bladetomes can be hard to counter on certain maps.  Also, they were probably so basic they left Mulagir on B! Lyn.

I'm starting to think i'll never make Tier 20 without at least two merged units...lol

My earlier score was in danger of falling out of Tier 20, my new score is 4944, but it still might not be enough.  I've run out of units to merge, so I hope we get that Xander rerun soon.

 

I'm at rank 4244 out of 4689 to stay in Tier 20.  I'm screwed, aren't I?

You might be alright. I'm dead for sure, though. 60 places before I drop out with my 4,938 score. I wanted to go for another streak but 90% of the matches I get are 702-704 value, which won't cut it. And I've burned like 15 swords just fishing for higher scores but 708+ comes up so rarely for me. 

I had a single 712 point match come up but I actually lost that one. +10 units too stronk.

Usually my team is: Bonus/Seasonal Unit + PA! Azura + B! Lyn + Random Unit.  If I do a perfect run I get into 4800s.  What unmerged units do you use to get to tier 20?

I've been staying here for a few months now, but I guess I need to start adding more merges to my Olivia if I want to keep it up... The cut-off is getting a little too close for comfort.

I usually use my team of bonus unit + Cordelia + Ike + Hector. I recently made my Cordelia +4 like 2 weeks ago, but I still scored in like the top 1-3k of 19>20 before merging her.

I'd recommend dropping Azura and Lyn if you can, or at least one of them. It's easier to win fights, but ranged units and dancers will give you less point value on average. I personally don't like armor units that much, but carry Hector along mainly for the points he brings. If you don't have him I'd recommend Black Knight since he's worth a lot too. 

Do you have a few seals fully upgraded yet? I'm running 4 as of last week (DD3, spd +3, atk +3, Deflect Magic 3) and they give a noticeable point boost. I'd guess most people have 3-4 by now, which has helped bloat points some as well.

I don't know what your barracks has in it, but I'd recommend something like Bonus + BK + 2 melee units with prf weapons if you can. Armors, dragons, or units with prf weapons will give you a bit more in those last 2 slots. For example, I use Ike because of Ragnell + Heavy Blade + Aether being worth a good amount for an infantry unit. (BK seems to be worth a little more than him, but I usually like the extra movement)

I must have used like 30+ swords today rerolling matches, but it takes too many for a minimum 706+ value match to come up each time (what I'm gauging I need to be "safe"). And then I lost on the boat map to some movement shenanigans after I got a few good matches.. So I should probably just save my swords.

It shouldn't be a problem to move back up next season, even if I have to use Alfonse for my bonus, but I was so close to staying I really wanted to keep trying!

Wow... I wonder if the introduction of higher levels of Sacred Seals are what's making it more difficult to stay in tier 20. I guess it also helps that Amelia got another banner. I think she's the armor with the highest BST...though she doesn't have a legendary weapon...hm... It's pretty cool how stiff the competition is getting. I wonder if this means they'll end up expanding the tiers.

I was finally hoping to stay in Tier 20 for a change.  I was like in the top 300 for Tier 19 last week, but am barely staying in for Tier 20, and might get bumped out.  It's frustrating.

My score of 4944 is rank 4291 with the cutoff being 4697.  I don't have any more units that I can merge.  If I get more Titanias or they rerun Xander's GHB sometime soon, I could bump my score up a little.  I used every last Titania I had to merge her to +7.  I wish I had not wasted the extra Ursula I got way back from her first GHB.  I never thought I would need a dozen copies of her for merging.

Thanks @Alkaid that was very helpful.  I'll have to double-check my barracks for higher-rated units.  I don't have Ike, so i'll probably use BK or Kektor.  Just built a non-bride Cordelia so I could use her.  My highest rated units are Lucina, Hector, and BK, but they all suck against horse emblem so huff

Too bad Camilla doesn't have the highest BST in this game like she does in Fates lol.
