AA score of 5202 - #1049

RIP. Keep getting low-balled in AA. Granted, from the sounds of it, 6-8 points probably wouldn't be enough so I'd have to consistently roll higher than my average. Regular Arena initially put me at 3630, which was looking pretty borderline. Decided to just fish a little to fix that, resulting in what I've got.

Giving serious thought to building that Gwendolyn, though I currently only have five copies of her and none of them are +Spd, so she wouldn't outscore A!Tiki. Granted, even if I had enough copies, I wouldn't have enough feathers, since I'd have to build all her merges, plus promote Chrom.

Wow I can make a team of 4 bonus heroes. I think I'm dropping to tier 18 for this arena, and hopefully Lene, Ishtar, Ike+1, Amelia+3 could score high enough to stay there. Otherwise I'll just do something boring like Ishtar, Amelia and 2 other armors.

On a completely random note, I ran into some... interesting teams last night with Ryoma dragging down my score range as my bonus unit (+10 vanilla skills with the Quick Riposte Sacred Seal).

I ran into this team twice:

Legendary Ephraim (Flame Siegmund, Rally Atk/Def, Galeforce, Sturdy Blow 2, Solar Brace, Odd Atk Wave 3, Heavy Blade 3)
Myrrh (Dark Breath+ [Res], Rally Spd/Def, Aether, Distant Counter, Quick Riposte 3, Def Smoke 3, Iote's Shield) [Earth]
Myrrh (Great Flame, Rally Atk/Spd, Aether, Distant Counter, Flier Formation 3, Flier Guidance 3, Quick Riposte 3) [Wind]
Myrrh (Light Breath+ [Spd], Rally Def/Res, Aether, Distant Counter, Windsweep 3, Spd Smoke 3, Phantom Spd 3) [Water]

It died. Ephraim killed himself on Brave Ike both times right off the bat with his superior movement range.

Then there was a team of Valentine Lyn, Lyn, Legendary Lyn, and Brave Lyn.

And then I ran into this team on the bridge waffle map:

On the first turn, the team immediately split up with no one receiving the Armor March buff on the following turn. It was... impressive. Eldigan soloed them all with Elise to heal him up.

I'm going back to tier 20 with a rank with 3,580 points. And an AA score of 4,982. Good run at the arena this week.

Back to tier 20 with a rank of 2,666 (3,588 points). Standard stuff here.

On AA I'm still ways off to stay in the top 5k, seems I'll need to get into the 5,100+ points to do it.

And the week ended with me getting 7 defense wins, hopefully next week will stay similar to this.

I saw that team too. Thankfully I have been using Lilina this week instead of Camus. I don't think I could have won with Caeda, Nowi, Lukas, and Camus.

Got my rewards. I had forgotten that we get orbs in the Arena, so I'm going to break 180 at the daily reset!!! Getting so close to 200...and I'm really hoping the next banner is another one I can skip too because it's nice having a stockpile...

Confirmed my demotion to T18 with 3528 points in a week that allowed me to score well (would be pretty much match my record high if extended to 7 matches) - imagine how bad it'll be on less favourable blessing weeks. Guess that's the signal to stop trying to much at a mode I've never found enjoyable. From what I've been able to tell from my other account, staying in T18.5 should be a doddle.

AA also dropped out of the top 20k even with a full advanced run, so likewise that's no longer worth the effort if the result is a gamble. Going to revert to partly intermediate runs instead and settle for the lower bracket.

First season with the new scoring system, and first season with Shanna as a +10. Narcian's limitations considered, I should be fine to stay in tier 20 for the foreseeable future.

I really don't know why I didn't use Ryoma last season. No doubt the TT-esque bonuses helped, but I found he could actually pull his weight unlike other certain on-rotation characters so desperate for...anything really.

*An approximation. I'm 90% sure my score consisted of four 728s plus one 730. Since I normally confirm my score during the feather distribution, the new system threw me off since technically those rewards are now given out as soon as one finishes their run. =/ I know it doesn't really matter, but it still bothers me that I will never know what it was for sure lol

My AA point slave Shiro (+5) boosts my score to 3,598 which should be enough to get into Tier 20 once more. The current rate of score inflation is worrying, especially since I'm not getting any additional merges for my core team since weeks.

/Edit: Also my first Defense win arrived already.

Oh and in Arena Assault I went up against a Halloween Jakob and 3 Amelias team. Not quite the same level as your screenshots but I did had to lose 1 of my units because Vantage procced Jakob's Ignis.

First Arena run got screwed by a Windsweep Phantom Speed Cecilia on a Binding Blade Cancer team.

Original Ike was a real dead weight on my team. Thankfully, I now have Lene refined so it won't be a big drop in scoring to field her instead of him. Now enjoy Brave Axe S!Alfonse Galeforce-ing and getting danced.

Thanks, I hope he'll remain bonus for at least another week before seasonals take over. I want to check how close (or far) I am to stay in Tier 20 for the first time.

My defense team is my offense team = BH!Roy, Cordelia, Cherche & bonus (Shiro). Last week I tried out my Ward Fliers team (Shigure, Minerva, NY!Camilla & F!Morgan), but they gave me only 1 defense win in ~4 days.

Jakob usually dies to my Cherche, but Amelia is often enough hard to kill.

Anyhow, is there any better way to describe Amelia during this season's Arena offense than "roflol"? Those boosts are ludicrous, thought myself in a dangerous position, where my TA Nowi might get shot by GreenBowLyn if she tanked a Roy, then just tried to look at the numbers with putting Amelia as bait, and she tanked it like a boss even though she isn't built properly, it's hilarious.

Also, why the frek do I already have a defense win? Swapped out my Fae from last week with a bland Fury/Desperation Anna and I have a win.... whyyyy, I don't get it (TA/QR Nowi - DB/WoM Lilina - Ruby Sword/WoM Olivia like last week for the rest. WoM shouldn't be an issue if you fight TA units that die to anything countercoloured).

Also also, that competitive spirit in AA is harsh, no idea what I should do to remain in 3k. Right now it's merging M!Corrins together, but I don't really like him that much and that refine is really bland, but swapping to a new unit (like Effie for example) would require a lot of feathers I don't have to get to the same level as Aether +3 M!Corrin.... darn... mean players trying to take mah spot. 5124 was #288X or something, it's crazy how fast people improve up there.

He will. We're only on the first week of banner's rotation and there's always at least two weeks of it. Even if the seasonal banner is planned to appear a bit sooner than usual, there's no way IS would cut it short because that would incur major rage and salt from the people who pulled for Ares, Lene and Ishtar.

People near the top are basically concentrating on it. Hell, I'm contemplating building Gwendolyn, myself. The rate is also likely crazy because you've got super whales running around dropping fat wads of cash to +10 Zelgius, Hardin, Myrrh and/or the Grimas.

It should be good enough. I entered last week with something like 358x and I was on the top 3k to enter.

I finished my arena run with a score of 3594, nowhere near enough to stay in tier 20 but hopefully I'll be able to once Sheena gets all her merges.

On AA I got a score of 5,032. Still long ways before top 5k.

No defense wins yet (Ike really is deadweight for defense teams). I might change Eirika's Sieglinde for Wo Dao+ if I don't get one in 3 days.

Take your number and multiply it by 7/5 to get what it would be with the old system. Your 3570 would be the equivalent of 4998 under the old 7-match format.

The arena lineup for this week made me so conflicted. I built an M!Kana specifically to use him in this arena season since I figured I wouldn't have someone to use except Anna (who isn't built). This is the first time in months that I build up a unit just to use them in arena only to see that my fully built Klein and fully built F!Robin both count this week...I'm happy because it means I can now use my main team without substituting anybody, or switch to my current favorite team (Awakening family team). At that the same time I'm so mad I put those feathers into an M!Kana I'm probably not going to use.

Today's Assault run, I try only Advanced matches. I should have known, Earth week means F!Grima comes out to play. Seeing how brutal Windsweep F!Grima is, I'm immediately sacking the next bad-IV Alm that pitybreaks me to her, and promoting Lyon next so I have one more raven tome user to counter her Windsweep set.

I got wiped out on the fourth battle. Once again, the fact that there's zero SP/HM for second runs of the day and on means those subsequent runs are a waste of my time.

If you can and do feel like fielding multiple bonus units, you could take the opportunity to run around with a whole bunch of units with pumped-up stats.
