Offense score of 3684 (T20) remains in T20, combining with a defense score of 634 for max rewards.

More Firesweep Ryoma madness. Bushido is fun. Celica instead of Cecilia in the bonus rotation throws a wrench in my plans, because running Celica as my bonus unit is quite tempting...I really do want to see how Marth, Caeda, Myrrh, and Sharena do though, so I'll probably do at least the first streak with them. If it looks like it's going to fall, I'll just do another with Celica.

No real changes from last week, other than switching some seals around.  Quick Riposte is a bit more reliable on Caeda, especially if I can't easily give her double Goad support.  It's been a real struggle getting defense wins lately.  My core has been reliably getting them for months, but lately I've had to run all four without a bonus unit just to get one.  Alfonse is dead weight on defense, and I worry that active arena players won't queue with my low or no merge teams, especially if they contain unmerged 4* bonus characters.  Hopefully I can get some more Nanna merges from the next legendary banner for Razzle Dazzle shenanigans.

Alfonse got to see a bit more work this week.  Occasionally I'd be staring down a fast Cherche variant while Caeda needed to do something else, before realizing "oh right, boosted Alfonse is a thing".  It's no substitute for a real buff in merges or weapon refine, but I'm glad he and the others can better pull their weight now.

A new record, and you might notice we got a new lead.  Tiki has now surpassed Hinoka in merges, and is worth slightly more now.  It's kinda sad, but Hinoka is more or less retired from leading the charge in AA.  At +5 Tiki still has a quite a ways to go, but we're inching our way up there.

Logging in after arena reset and seeing you only have 3800 feathers to show for it is a bit depressing (T18 demotion, no defenses, rank 25k AA). I bring it on myself of course with my no-retries policy, and at least the 3000 feathers that'll come with the first battle of the new season will cover it up a bit.

Whoever just knocked me above 30k rank on AA in the last few minutes is the literal devil. I needed exactly 15 Refining Stones to upgrade S!Cordelia's weapon and I only got 14. Now I need to drag a mediocre team through the arena before getting anything of substance done. I am soo pleased.

@Tybrosion congratulations on that +10 Soleil, more carnage guaranteed! 

@Tybrosion @Rafiel's Aria @Alkaid I know I would score higher and stay in Tier 20 if my team was +10/+10/+10 now. The problem is the score to stay in tier 20 inflates faster than I get copies for merges (missing 2 Cherches, 5 Roys (or 4 Caedas) and 4 Cordelias). Even with a score optimized +5 Shiro as a bonus unit I was not able to stay the other week. While all my three core units will get 500 SP specials, only Caeda will get DC, because on Cordelia and Cherche it wouldn't make much sense. 

Thanks for the encouraging words, I look up to your great teams! I won't give up, but I also won't start using armors at any point. 

/Edit: Finished AA at rank 5,613. That's closer than expected to top 5k.

Summary: Over the last five weeks, the score required to stay in T20 has ranged from 3640-3670. To get into T20, the range has been 3534-3558. It's been water season all month so it might dip a little next month.

Nothing about the scoring system changed at all.

Scores are just 5/7 of what they used to be because you're fighting 5 rounds instead of 7.

I know that, but i honestly dont care. I like to play and put together my Teams how i want. If i cared for Arena or AA points i would have upgraded armorers first to +10 instead of stuff like Roy, Saizo, Clair, Boey, Azama etc. and pulled for armorers (note my only +10 Armorer is Amelia and that only because i shot for Gunnthra).

Its just kinda wtf and shows how busted and dumb the scoring system is tbh. In that regard my motivation kinda took a bummer and i am not sure if i am interested to built strange Team setups or units anymore when you get punished for it anyway.

3706 Points this week in Arena thanks to Camilla.
I could try to go for maximum points this week, I just need some more feathers... don't know if it is worth it and I guess other player won't make it easy to get constant 754 points, don't know if point manipulation is a true thing.
But somehow I want to try at least for these weeks...

On the other hand, I can finally start to put more brain into other Projects. And don't need to care for arena buildings anymore. At least as long as they do not change anything, which will happen sooner or later.

Feels good to check the game and already see a Defense win so I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Thank goodness this is my off week because my scores went down quite a lot this time. 3,598 for normal arena and 5,079 for AA. Guess this is the price I have to pay for giving priority to Bridelia instead of merging Sheena more.

My Arena offense team had a bad time, but eventually turned in a run of 3,666. Then I just realized I swapped Spring Sharena, not Spring Alfonse, out for Summer Innes in this run. Two axes, no wonder I had such a hard time. Oh well, a successful run's a successful run.

My Robin x Tharja family team has already pulled in three defense wins. Bare minimum wins, but still better than zero defense wins. Testing them out after the successful run, 700-710 range, and end up with four deaths in two matches. At least M!Grima hit 500 HM.

Much salt in tonight's Assault run. Get bodied on the first match, then just auto'd three beginner matches so to get the rewards because screw carefully fighting on full difficulty when the units get zero SP/HM out of it. I hate the walls map.

My arena run was strange this week, took me ~20 crests to get a deathless/5 streak, something that never happened since the reduction to 5 necessary wins. It was not the fault of Summer Cordelia, she performed well, she even killed a couple of Nowis. 

On the other hand I did my AA deathless/7 with my first try with newly formed Earth blessing teams plus the Fire blessing teams from last season. 

Scores 3,584 and 5,094.

Same here. I’ve already had a defence win for at least twelve hours, or maybe even longer, but that’s when I noticed. Too bad I didn’t get any last week, even though the maps have been considerably more cancerous.

I’m going down to T18 regardless because my team just can’t score on non-water weeks. Oh well.

Well, L!Hector is going to be pushing the max score up above 754 during Fire seasons. It is going to be annoying to kill him. You pretty much need to 1 shot him or bait him, but that will be hard with the full armor teams I am sure will be getting spammed. I think now is a good time to +10 Soleil and give her Armorsmasher from the spare 5* Caeda I pulled awhile back.

Currently sitting at 3514 for offense (which I don't think is too bad for a party with two mages (one of whom is pre-bst creep) and limited merges (+1 for three of them and +4 for Cherche)). I'm hoping it'll be enough to make it to tier 19; I haven't managed to do it since the last arena change. I am enjoying the score increase from Cherche's recent merges because boy is it nice to deal with so many fewer dancers.

I got no defence wins last week but then instantly get one this week. Strange. I've not even changed my team yet. 

Oh well, a win's a win. I've changed my defence team to a summer team for the heck of it - Innes, Leo, Frederick and Gaius. This also made me realise I never finished building Leo so he and Innes are being trained together ^•^

But a sufficiently fast unit (probably not all that hard, since Hector has never been fast) with Bold Fighter or Axebreaker can override that on PP. It's quite likely Elincia can also just overpower him with enough buffs and Amiti. I also find baiting typically isn't all that hard because full armour defense teams usually run Armor March, so it's really easy to get the enemy to YOLO units off on their own and the ranged armours are quite rare due to the best ones all being the super-whale-tier-investment seasonals.

If it is a mixed team they run Armor March to keep up with the others, but on a full Armor team, having 4 Ward Armors with Swap on everyone would be the most effective.

Maybe it's just where I am in the scoring range (730-738), but I keep seeing full armour teams that run at least two Armor Marches and dual rallies. The rallies help keep them close together at times, but they'll also often too happy to chase the colour they're good against. Is Swap really something they can get away with running up here without dropping? That's -600 SP for not running all dual rallies. Even the -160 from running Ward over March can add up.

Full armor teams run 2 Armor Marches minimum with the others running some other 240-SP skill. Ward Armor doesn't exist up there.

Neither does Swap. It's pretty much impossible to get a defense team that high when you're not running dual Rallies.
