Harvey Posted February 25, 2017 Share Posted February 25, 2017 Don't get me wrong, many support conversations are great (and are probably better than that of FE6) but I feel that more should have been added to the list. For instance, Raven's supports besides Lucilus seem underwhelming. He has this revenge thing towards the marquess of Ostia and yet when he gets his chance to get his revenge, he doesn't get any support conversations with him which is odd considering how Matthew gets a conversation with Jaffar.... It would have been cool to have more supports for Rath (though him having few suits his "lone wolf" personality). And it's true that some were underwhelming or was just some kind of "gags" (Merlinus/Vaida). But that's fine to have variety. So basically, yeah, why not more supports. Sure, there are a few that would have been interesting to see, but we can't have everything we want in a game. If you want to pass around extra supports, try Path of Radiance. Based off of the unused data, it's apparent that they wanted to add more supports at some point or another but didn't, due to resources or whatever. Slumber Posted March 9, 2017 Share Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) It's never been one of my complaints, but as long as they were of consistent quality and made sense, sure. Like look at Dart. The Dart/Rebecca/Wil supports, where through them, you basically learn that yeah, Dart is Wil's old best friend and Rebecca's older brother, who both of them thought was lost/dead. Then you get the Dart/Geitz/Farina supports, where you learn a lot about why Dart enjoys being at sea so much, and why he wouldn't want to be a merchant like Geitz, or a mercenary like Farina. But then you get Karel, where Dart just kind of suggests that Karel fights Fargus, where Dart randomly brings up Karla and Vaida as people Karel could fight, or that Karel should fight the myth that is Karel, without realizing who he's talking to. All we really learn there is that Dart knows a lot about urban legends, and even though Karla and Vaida can be part of his group, he never refers to them as such(Karla might be a bit excused, since like how he didn't know the Sword Demon was Karel, maybe he didn't know the Sword Princess was Karla, but he has no right to not know that Vaida is the Bern Wyvern general he was talking about) or has supports with either of them. His Karel support is largely pointless compared to his other supports. If they could have added more like the Rebecca/Wil/Geitz/Farina supports, cool. But eventually you start getting more fluff like Karel's. And this is true for every character, not just Dart. That said, there are some supports that are blatantly absent. Like Hector/Raven.
