Rom posting?

It's a slippery issue. There are rom sites out there, but I guess the admins here don't want to be considered a rom site. It's the same thing on a lot of forums sans those of rom sites.

I get it's against the law, but rom hacking itself is...

ROM/ISO images contain copyrighted data, which can cause the copyright holders to take legal action against the web hosts and sites that have them, if discovered.

Patches contain only changes made to the ROM. Although some of them also contain copyrighted data from elsewhere....

Yeah, ROMs are a big no-no due to copyright laws. We want to provide users with convenient and consistent access to the website, which could potentially be severely impacted if we hosted ROMs and we were hit with a DCMA from Nintendo or something like that.
