Corrobin
I made this thread for the discussion of new, upcoming or possible technology of all kinds. First, as a conversation starter, I'll link to something that is incredibly impressive on a technological level but is also pretty cool if you like what it's based on: See this? This is basically two or three steps removed from robot maids. The future is here and I'm excited.
TheKingOfTheDragovians
"Yeah man, so I was walking down the street whistling some Zelda tunes when this guy's door just flew open" That is a very cool house though. XD I thought the same thing too. But I guess there would be a way around it, like having some sort of communicating device that allows the program to recognize your Ocarina or items you carry around (so you can imagine the front door being like the door in the temple of time). I do feel like playing the Ocarina songs all the time would just be exhausting. But the concept of using certain sounds so that your house starts doing things automatically is interesting. What I amost excited for technologically, is better limbs. Imagine having bionic legs or arms that are just easily better than your current arms or legs. Mechanical ears that don't cause problems (ear infections/wax build up etc), perfect zooming eyes... sounds wonderful. Although i wonder if things like ears and eyes would be possible in my lifetime (or at all). I feel like atleast legs might not be too far off though. Maybe thats just nothing more than fantasy though...

(LOL JK) (But seriously) I'd prefer scenarios where people (including me) get temporarily disabled as opposed to outright killed. I am assuming wars and terrorist attacks would be the main use of EMPs anyway. I don't know where else they'd be used. Tuvy
Sorry that post was mostly meant to be a over exaggerated scenario but I'm not really against it
