So is the penalty for each undrafted unit something that happens when you break a rule with them or is it if you simply deploy them? To put it another way, can I recruit Erk with Serra without penalty? Here's my progress so far.

Chapter 11: Turn 6 Total 6
Hector's mad dash. Finished on Enemy Phase.
Didn't want to spend the extra turn to get the Red Gem, hope that's not too important.

Chapter 12: Turn 5 Total 11
Hector soloes the north for some time until Marcus arrives to help finish a couple of units.
Rebecca visits the town for the Secret Book.
Eliwood sees some combat with Marcus in the south but doesn't level up.

Chapter 13: Turn 6 Total 17
Everyone heads north. It's a pain to not have a unit to one shot that tree on the first turn. Eliwood sees a little bit of combat while Hector and Marcus race to seize. Rebecca visits the town and misses out on participating in Eliwood's fights.

Chapter 13x: Turn 7 Total 24
Marcus goes to the town and everyone else hunkers down around Merlinus for the most part. Eliwood and Hector fight a lot, but Rebecca not so much. She still hasn't leveled up once. Eliwood's gaining momentum.

"1. Undrafted units may recruit characters, rescue undrafted units and NPCs, trade, visit Shops and Armories, and dig up items in the desert."

These are the only actions an undrafted unit can do without penalty. If they do anything else, a 4-turn penalty is added to your turn count for each action. Deploying them is not cause for penalty, however, nor is recruiting a unit with them.

11 - 6/6
Going Left.

12 - 4/10
Marcus Joins Hector. Bartre and Dorcas putz around with enemies at the south.

13 - 4/14
Marcus goes south with Hector. Silver Lance comes in handy for killing what gets in Marcus' way. Bartre and Dorcas goes to visit Merlinus and kill some Pegs. Bartre also got Speed.

13x - 7/21
Time to relax and get some Gold and EXP.

14 - 4/25
Really had to improvise due to Marcus not having sufficient stats to take out Erik in one round. I ferried Hector with Dorcas and he was dropped so he could Lure in Erik and kill him with Wolf Beil shots. Bartre killed Soldiers and also killed Pirates with the help of Dorcas. Had to recruit Erk so I could move him away from a Brigand's range.

15 - 7/32
Nothing but good level ups here.

16 - 5/37
Marcus ferried Hector to the Throne, Bartre and Dorcas killed Brigands. Kent mainly focused on gathering experience while the rest of Lyn's group shopped and got the Heavy Spear village.

No drafted units until chapter 16, but up to three fliers and a decent warper, so I should be able to make it up later.

Chapter 11 6/6

That Red Gem is fool's gold.

Chapter 12 4/10

Hector went straight for the boss while Marcus cleaned up.

Chapter 13 6/16

With only two units, there's only so much I can do. Brought my scrubs around to avoid a penalty, managed to nab Guy.

Chapter 14 4/27

Didn't deploy Merlinus. Marcus east, Hector south. Shoutout to Erk for being prioritised by the AI.

Chapter 15 7/34

Through the magic of enemy thieves, got the Silver Axe.

Chapter 16 4/38

Hector grabs Marcus and Florina drops him over the edge. Next turn, Florina grabs Hector and Marcus ferries him forward. Florina self-improves while Marcus goes out in style.

Name   Level HP ST SK SP LK DF RS
	Hector 13.64 28 13 07 10 06 13 03

Chapter 11 6/6 - Smash the walls, kill the boss. Next.

Chapter 12 6/12 - Sent Hector to the grass he took the entire top, Lowen took the bottom with a little help from Marcus who got to Hector just in time to kill the last foe.

Chapter 13 5/17 - Hector and Marcus go south, Marcus visits an explosive old lady. Lowen goes to see Merlinus and drops down to support as Marcus Crits the boss and Hector takes the castle.

Chapter 13x 7/24 - Marcus gets the 5000 gold from the village, Lowen gets some good level ups and Hector forgets what the word hit means. My Hector is doing pretty bad honestly, fantastic.

Chapter 14 5/29 - Lowen goes South kills everything and grabs Priscilla. Marcus rushes Erik and Hector kills everything in between as finishes off Erik. Marcus and Hector then mop up the last few kills as Hector grabs the iron blade.

Thanks, Kebe, for answering my questions.

Chapter 14: Turn 4 Total 28
Finished on enemy phase. Rebecca makes herself useful and handles the soldiers on the right. She needs one dodge to come out alive and a Str level up to take care of the second soldier in 1 turn. Eliwood escorts Serra over to Erk then heads south. Erk gets what little exp is available to him and then gets the town next to him. Marcus carries Hector deep into enemy territory and they take care of most of the enemies.

Chapter 15: Turn 7 Total 35
I ran out of enemies to fight before 6 turns were up, it would've been nice if that finished the chapter. Got the longbow from the boss and the treasure was no problem to get.

Chapter 16: Turn 5 Total 40
The last chapter for Marcus, I'm gonna miss this guy. Marcus and Hector went for the castle, Eliwood went for the south village, Rebecca and Erk got the west village. Lyn and her cohorts didn't do anything besides buy a bunch of stuff for me.

Chapter 17: Turn 11 Total 51
Hector menacingly walks towards the throne while everyone else gets exp and treasure. Rebecca handles the southeast all by herself with a little luck. I'm not really looking ahead, but I don't get the Hero Crest in the hopes that having an extra chest key will be useful down the line since I have plenty of funds as it is. Matthew is deployed and protected in order to get the Silver Sword and Knight Crest chests.

Chapter 17x: Turn 5 Total 56
Episode 2 of Hector menacingly walking towards the objective. Eliwood helps clear a large number of pirates. Erk gets a few kills and Rebecca gets like one. I managed to get the Devil Axe and the Sleep Staff.

Chapter 18: Turn 4 Total 60
Hector does his walking thing again, but this time Erk is the one to have cleared most of the enemies, although it took a couple of iffy dodges. While Hector and Erk clear the left side and make their way towards the boss, Eliwood and Rebecca take the right and get some items and exp.

Chapter 19: Turn 6 Total 66
Fiora finally arrives, thank you Kebe. Florina deployed to recruit Fiora, Tentman not deployed. Dart gives Hector his torch and then Florina rescues Dart to fly around out of enemy range until Fiora arrives. The team goes through the island in the middle and Rebecca makes liberal use of her longbow in order to make sure Eliwood can use all of his movement every turn. There were some close calls with Erk and Rebecca but Fiora arrives and moves towards the team and hits a pirate, effectively letting me get two actions out of her. It didn't save any turns, but it did save Rebecca from being in any more danger. I didn't manage to get the torch staff from the thief. Erk is level 10 now and I have no idea when I should promote him.

Chapter 19x: Turn 4 Total 70
Fiora takes Hector across the mountain, as you would expect. She can't one round Aion though, so it's up to Hector to bosskill and seize. I try to give Fiora, Erk, and Rebecca as much exp as they can get.

Chapter 20: Turn 6 Total 76
I'm seriously glad I bought all those door keys back in chapter 16. Erk opens the way the to Brave Bow, then Matthew gets it and plugs the stairs there. Everyone else heads north, while Lyn follows and stays out of enemy range. Getting up to the throne, there was a myrmidon blocking the hallway that Fiora couldn't one round, so I lost a turn there for sure. It did give me time to get Lyn to recruit Legault though, so it's not a complete loss. Lyn was actually in range of a hand axe fighter, but the fighter targeted Fiora because she had 2 HP. Very lucky.

Chapter 21: Turn 3 Total 79
With the help of Ninian, Fiora gets Hector over to the boss pretty quickly. Florina and Matthew are deployed to buy stuff. Legault gets the Restore staff, with Ninian's help Rebecca gets the Elysian Whip. Erk is promoted and starts working on staves. Got some more door keys just in case.

17 - 11/48
This chapter was a bit annoying. Ferrying was a tad difficult since Kent isn't exactly durable enough to take on a lot of enemies coming at him. Hector had to kill the boss since Kent couldn't double the boss and had a horrible hit rate. Dorcas got Hero Crest and Unlock while Prissy recruited Raven (With all my Axe Users, I don't want to deal with this guy) and dropped Matt onto the Knight's Crest chest so the thief wouldn't take it. Bartre got a bunch of kills here and there.

17x - 4/52
Oh boy this took a while to pull off.

18 - 3/55
Decided to ferry Hector to kill the boss.

19 - 5/60
Really glad to get this terrible chapter over with... Big shoutout to Hector for killing Uhai while he had the Killing Edge equipped.

Chapter 17 11/49

Florina couldn't survive going north, so Hector walked. He's bulky and could one-round everything except the nomads so it wasn't too bad. Two of the soldiers died a horrible, horrible death, one more turn and I would've been screwed.

Chapter 17x 3/52

Mooncalf route

Chapter 18 3/55

Florina flew forward and dropped Hector to kill Zzzzz. Canas self-improved.

Chapter 19 5/60

Florina grabbed Hector and flew south, east and up to drop Hector near Uhai and avoid the nomads near him on her way to hitting the torch Thief. Fiora died a horrible, horrible death while Canas and Dan tried not to follow suit.

Chapter 20 4/64

Florina dropped Hector over the mountain turn 2, then went to help Canas. Dan visited Renault.

Chapter 21 6/70

Canas killed the knight, and was carried forward by Hector and Dan. Florina grabbed Hector and dropped him turn 2 to set up the midboss kill for Canas. Then everyone walked forward.

Would anyone mind if undrafted thieves were allowed to steal necessary Promotion items? Kinda forgot to add that bit...

I went ahead and stole the Hero Crest in Ch. 21. If anybody has objections to this, I can just redo the chapter without stealing it.

Ch. 19x - 6/66
Hector had to kill off Aion since Kent can't two round the guy and a 5 turn required a sub-40 and an approximate 50 hit rate to pull off. Did not have the patience for that so 6 turns for me.

Ch. 20 - 5/71
Kent ferried Hector so he could let Darin get rekt and seize. Bartre and Dorcas killed stragglers (Bartre managed to kill the Silver Bow Sniper). Longsword actually came in handy here.

Ch. 21 - 2/73
Got the crest and the 2 Turn! All thanks to Bartre and Dorcas rescue dropping Ninian.

Ch. 22 - 3/76
Isadora uses that Halberd good against Eubans. Kent went to get the Brave Axe. Bartre got a kill. Hector recruited Heath because more weapons are always nice.

Alright, let's go

Chapter 11: 6/6

RIP Red Gem

Chapter 12: 4/10

Hector goes to the boss, while Oswin and Marcus do everything else. Serra sits around doing nothing

Chapter 13: 5/15

First complex chapter. Oswin can just reach the village in 4 turns thanks to the favorable starting position, but Guy can't really be recruited with the 4 turn strategy anyways, so 5 turn it is. On Turn 1, Marcus grabs Hector, Lowen grabs Matthew, Oswin OHKOs the snag like the boss he is, and Serra positions herself to get hit by an archer. Marcus doesn't OHKO the archers with the Hand Axe, so he just equips the Iron Axe to OHKO the brigand. Turn 2, Marcus drops Hector in range of Guy, while Lowen drops Matthew. Serra puts herself in range of the two archers so they don't go for Matthew. Oswin trudges towards the village. Hector kills all the enemies near the bridge on EP with Wolf Beil, leaving only the archers and Guy around. Turn 3, Matthew recruits a Guy to the team, Guy and Hector kill an archer in the way, Marcus grabs Hector again, and Serra and Oswin go towards their respective villages. Turn 4, Marcus drops Hector, and Guy does some self improvement on reinforcement brigands. Finally, on Turn 5, Marcus ORKOs the boss, Serra and Oswin grab the Mine/Torch villages, and Hector seizes.

Chapter 13x: 7/22

Laid-back chapter. Marcus got the village, while everyone else got EXP. Guy even managed to get the bosskill.

Chapter 14: 4/26

The Marcus Show. Guy, Hector, and Oswin did some stuff too. Didn't get either village.

Chapter 15: 7/33

A standard defense map. The treasure was easy to get, and I ended up getting the Longbow from the boss, which is cool I guess. Mostly self improvement, with Hector getting B Axes in the process.

Chapter 16: 5/38

Sain and Wiliam get! They and most of my other units did some self-improvement, while Marcus carried Hector to the throne. Not much to say, I got the villages, and Lyn did some shopping.

Unit Level HP Str Skl Spd Luk Def Res Weapon Ranks
Hector 8.31 26 12 06 06 04 11 02 B Axes
Oswin 12.61 31 13 10 07 04 16 06 B Lances
Serra 2.65 18 03 05 09 06 02 06 D Staves
Guy 8.64 25 06 14 16 07 05 01 B Swords
Sain 5.25 22 10 06 07 05 08 00 D Swords D Lances
Wiliam 5.18 22 07 06 06 07 05 01 D Bows

S/o to Peppy for these nice early game units :^]

Chapter 22: Turn 3 Total 82
Fiora makes a mad dash with Hector. With a little help from Erk and Rebecca, Legault gets some lockpicks and 10k gold. I hope I don't regret not spending another turn for the brave axe. Lyn recruits Rath. Eliwood didn't get to do anything.

Chapter 23: Turn 3 Total 85
The bosses were bulky and did not want to be one rounded. Fiora went west and took care of a bunch of units, Erk took on a bunch of units going north and then west. Rebecca and Rath got a little exp and Legault picked up the ocean seal.

Chapter 23x: Free Total 85
A lot of stuff, a lot of exp.

Chapter 24 Lloyd: Turn 2 Total 87
Eliwood, Legault, and Rebecca go east and we get an Orion's Bolt and some reaver weaponry. Fiora carries Hector northeast and they face off against Lloyd and his crew.

Chapter 25: Turn 4 Total 91
Fiora reached level 20 last map and promotes before the start of this one. Level 14 Rath promotes because he needs some extra bulk to storm the northwest castle with Hector. Eliwood follows behind those two on foot. Fiora goes northeast. Erk and Legault go southwest. If those two had more movement this could have been a 3 turn, but it is what it is. Rebecca plays with a ballista.

Chapter 26: Turn 11 Total 102
Eliwood takes the Heaven seal but doesn't use it right away because he is at Lv19 99Exp and I am greedy. Fiora gets Hammerne. Hector and Eliwood get C support. We survive.

Chapter 27 Kenneth: Turn 6 Total 108
I feel like there might be something I can do with all these mounts to make it a 5 turn, but I don't know.

Real Chapter 21 3/73

Florina carried Canas forward, one square short of baiting Oleg :Jaffar:

It did give me more time to self-improve, I suppose.

Chapter 22 4/77

Florina carried Hector forward, then he ran to Eubans while the others recruited Heath, got the Brave Axe and trained. Canas hit level 20.

Chapter 23 3/80

Thank goodness that's over. Heath grabbed Canas and dropped him to the west, flying up to avoid the archers at the bottom. Turn 2, Heath killed the Luna shaman so Canas hit the west boss. Turn 3, Heath 2RKO'd the bottom wyvern rider while Canas hit the centre boss. Florina went north, then east to help Dan clean up.

For some reason, I'm going straight to chapter 24 despite the fact I definitely got 700 exp. I wouldn't mind, except that I want 23x to staff train Canas.

I can't remember. :Nino: He's in my party, but he might auto-recruit. I'll redo it later and see if that's the problem.

Chapter 15 7/36

Kill things, about it. Moving on.

Chapter 16 5/41

God this was hard, Lyn is so squishy if you don't do Lyn mode. Anyway Marcus carried Hector to the boss who he ORKO'd with Wolf Biel and seized, Lowen and Lyn picked off units best they could, Lowen doing great, Kent helping Lyn, who died in the process, but whatever. Sain got the villages and Priscilla well healed.

Chapter 17 8/49

Pretty good honestly. Lowen ferries Hector killing everything in his way (if Raven didn't dodge he would have been one of the casualties) dropped Hector and they both destroyed everything. Lyn picked off units where possible Priscilla healing constantly so they both got some good levels. Raven the went and got Lucius and Hector again ORKO'd the boss for the seize.

It worked, thanks for your help. Doing chapter 23x now, getting a chance to heal every turn is harder than I remember.

Chapter 17: 10/48

Hector walked for the majority of the map, with Oswin and Sain pushing him along using little rescue chains. Wiliam and Guy helped out primarily in the beginning, and allowed Matthew to get the Unlock and Hero Crest chests. Hector was able to engage the boss on Turn 9, and seized on Turn 10. Enemy Thief allowed Oswin to obtain his own Knight Crest.

Chapter 17x: 3/51

Sain carrying General!Oswin waits just out of range of the trigger zone on Turn 1. Then, he rushes and drops Oswin, using the two tile wide chokepoint to their advantage. Sain survives the Pirate, Nosferatu Shaman, and Killer Bow Archer decently enough, and, with some assistance from other units, has a clear path to Fargus on Turn 3. Other units mainly did some self-improving and village grabbing. Got the Devil Axe, Short Bow, and Canas.

Chapter 18: 3/54

Guy is the only guy in the team who can double the boss, so Sain carries him over. Everyone else trains. Got all the droppables, but too bad the boss doesn't drop the Speedwings :^[

Chapter 19: 5/59

Sain and Oswin bringing Hector along to kill Uhai. You can probably guess what everyone else is doing. Had to pump as much EXP into Sain here, in preparation for the gaiden following up.

Chapter 19x: 4/63

Guy promotes using the Chapter 17 Hero Crest. Oswin preemptively rescues Hector, while Guy and Sain charge towards the throne. Turn 2, Sain and Guy park themselves right outside of Bolting range, and Oswin follows suit. After Sain barely ORKOs the armors with a Steel Lance, Oswin gives Hector to Sain, Sain drops Hector in range of the throne, and Guy gets in range of Aion. Kishuna spawns, making their survival a lot more likely. Turn 4, Guy crits Aion down for Sain to get the boss EXP, and Hector seizes. Wiliam helped clear out the Pegs and Mages, and I haven't mentioned that Serra exists.

Chapter 20: 5/68

Sain, Oswin, Guy, and Hector charge up the middle while Wiliam, Serra, and Matthew team up to get the Brave Bow. Good thing one of the cavaliers drops an Armorslayer, so Guy can double critical Darin in the face. The power of 9 Strength.

Chapter 21: 3/71

Can't get the two turn without Paladin Sain, sadly. Guy and Sain, with help from Nininin, charge towards Oleg, while other guys do other things. Guy crit Oleg down for Sain to get the juicy boss EXP. Got the Light Rune and Restore villages.

Jw, but is Eubans suppose to move in Chapter 22? I'm pretty sure he moves in HHM and Eliwood Mode, but I put Sain in his range, and he just doesn't move. I don't know how you guys got sub-5 turns if he doesn't move, so I don't know what's going on.

I don't know if he moves since I wasn't in his range. What I did specifically was have Fiora pick up Hector and move south about as much as she could while still being in Ninian's dance range, then move even further south, past the ballistae, where Fiora drops Hector so he can take some heat. Next turn Fiora and Hector move toward the boss, probably a lucky dodge or two here, I don't remember. Then I realized I goofed since Hector wasn't in range of the boss, so I had Fiora fly over with her horseslayer and she got a lucky ~5% crit. I don't know if going through the right side is optimal or something, but I found having to go through a door just made the chapter slower.
