thewispsoftime
So in the prologue of my romhack, I didn't have my main protagonist quite yet. He gets introduced at the start of chapter 1. So, in order to have a leader in the prologue, I set it to one of my characters, Michael. I wanted to set the leader back to the main protagonist, William, in chapter 1, but it just keep going to Michael. How do I change this properly, if at all? Primefusion
Your main character needs to replace whatever the main character of the current mode is (Tutorial Lyn for Lyn Mode, Eliwood for Eliwood Mode, or Hector for Hector Mode). If Michael is replacing the main character, you'll need to change this.
thewispsoftime
That's odd, because Michael isn't. He's taking the place of Sain. William is taking the place of Eliwood, but Lyn's not involved at all. I can put William on Lyn and see how that goes. Edit: Tried that, still shows Michael as leader. Primefusion
This might be a case of "the first character loaded on the player's side is the leader". Try loading your main lord in the prologue, then making him disappear (You can do this under a black background so the player never sees). Do this before loading anyone else, and see if that works. thewispsoftime
Hm, that could work. However, I have absolutely no idea how to make units disappear
Elwood288
That would be DISA then the unit ID. So to make Eliwood disappear would be DISA 0x01.
thewispsoftime
After testing this out, this method does work! William is set as my Leader and he stays the leader throughout the next chapter as well! There is an interesting side effect involving autocursor. It will set it at 0,0 at the start of the prologue since the leader isnt there, and then after that will actually start on an enemy. But, that aside, I think this is good enough for right now and I can find a way to polish this later. Thanks for the help!
