How does magnemite eat?

Through their eyeball.

On a serious note, I believe Magnemite live off of electricity i.e. they feed from power plants, other Electric-types and perhaps Pokemon Centers have facilities they can feed from. Giving them berries and poffins is merely because you can give other 'mons the same, essentially giving them equal treatment, and probably shouldn't be taken too seriously.

In my opinion.

I think that feeding off electricity is true, I just noticed that you can feed them berries and poke beans without any trouble dispite lacking a mouth, and I get into tiny details like this.

The more important question here is how can you feed berries to god and satan? Arceus and Giratina?

I mean, they at least have mouths.

magnemite is literally a robotic floating eyeball with no mouth. HOW DOES HE EAT A BERRY?

I don't think Arceus has a mouth either

Funny you should ask this.

I always had a headcanon that Waddle Doo from Kirby ate by zapping his food with a beam to turn it into pure energy and then absorbing it back into his eye.

I assumed that was how Magnemite ate, too.
