I can understand why people dont want an entire roster made up of alts, but its a good way of implementing a handful of characters that would of otherwise had been left in the dust for all the others. Especially when you take Fates into account with all the royals. That is 10 slots alone with the Hoshido and Nohr Royals, Azura, and Corrin. I think they said that there would be promotions/class changes ( I don't remember) so even if it's implied, I suppose that there is a possibility of them not changing.
