Ah, Minerva. You who always and still avoided me. For her quote, I'll say "Face me, coward!" who seems more like her.

Maria... I'll say one of the "Just like...". I voted "like Michalis" because of the ton.

Michalis. David Vincent's voice is almost unrecognizable here, and that show his talent. His "Consider this an honor, insect!" and the fact he replaced the Minerva I never have when he showed himself around make him irreplacable now, for me. Seriously, this quote is... awesome.

Oh yeah! This is what I was waiting for!

Minerva - "Make peace with your gods!" Cindy Robinson's voicework for her characters has been seemingly panned, and understandably so, but Minerva is definitely her best one. Most of hers very well done, but this one stood out as the most memorable.

Mario - "One...two...three!" Eh, a weak selection in my opinion. None of them are what I really look for in critical quotes, even though the "Just like _____" are kind of cute.

Michalis - "Consider this an honor, insect!" One of the best voices in the game in my opinion; David Vincent really shines here. As with his sister Minerva, pretty much all his quotes are well done, with "You are finished!" a VERY close second.

My picks:

Leo- RIP to the missing "I will erase you!" and "Nothing but cinders." from his original game...Well the closest thing is "To ashes with you!"....even though he's not really associated with fire. I just love his performance in this line. Close second is "Contemptible fool." because as far as I know, it's uniquely Leo.

Odin- "Unquenchable blood flames!" "Abysmal body blow!" errr...looks like his best quote isn't in Heroes as well. I think "Eldritch Smackdown!" is my picks, since it's the only one of his named moves that transitioned to Heroes, and any of his move names is very uniquely Odin. Close honourable mentions to "Power...overflowing!" for that dorky voice break that's so Odin and "Overdoing it—as usual!" for breaking the fourth wall, but doesn't have as good delivery as the other two.

Niles- "Oh YESSS~" Hmm.. "Here's a taste!" is my pick, because again, it came from Fates (and I guess it's meaning can be in different ways just like how Niles talks?). I think at lest "Time to suffer" should have transitioned to Heroes but oh well. His VA change also loses a bit of flair but only because I'm so used to his Fates VA.

Overall their line selections could be better and I wish they included some other Fates lines. Solid performances either way though.

Leo: “You can’t hide from me!” — a classic Leo line directly from Fates. A genius on and out of the battlefield, Leo has little patiens for fools who dare to nag on him for nothing. Would I believe that such different characters like Leo, Gray, and Gordin are all played by one Max Mittelman? I wouldn’t but that’s how it is!

Odin: “Eldritch Smackdown!” — a classic Odin line dierctly from Fates. A weapon with a name like Blárblade and a short-cooldown special like Moonbow make perfect sense for Odin who gets more opportunity to shout his favourite catchprases. Keiji Tang clearly had huge fun playing Odin.

Niles: “Here’s a taste!” — a classic… you get it. I echo the sentiment that “Oh… yes!” would have been even more perfect, but this still works very well with Niles’ rather peculiar mindset. And Michael Sinterniklaas’ delivery nails it, even though Niles had a different actor in Fates.

Eldritch Smackdown is indeed the best Leo quote   You also capitalized the I in Niles's name.

Uuuuuh... I think there's a mistake in one of the options... either that or Leo's personality changed radically xD 

I thought at first you were doing both Leos (Summer and otherwise)...

So for Leo #1 my favourite quote is 'Contemptible fools'. It's just Leo, through and through, and I love the way he says it. 

For Leo #2, it has to be Eldritch Smackdown. It's just 'Leo' through and through, and I love the way it's said :)

I love all of Nile's lines. He's such a smooth voiced rogue. I went for 'Here's a taste' just because it feels the most innuendo ridden, to me xD

No problems. Gave me a good chuckle early in the morning. The thought of Leo saying all of Odin's lines was... pretty darn amusing xD

Yes I will. Every unit that has special quote. Even Veronica.

i might do seasonal unit intermissions throughout. Waiting until the very end of the list seems way too long and some of the lines are fun, like Halloween Henry's.

i might also make an alternate winner's list in the OP organised by game just like the Catalogue of Heroes so it's easier to keep track.

I think oddest quote might go to Xander's 'I cannot swim'. 

...Is that... really a thing to yell at an enemy when you're battering them with a floating toy? xD

I love these guys. Absolutely love them. They get some really fun lines just in general. Leo's "Nothing but cinders" is honestly my favorite in Fates. I'd have loved to hear it here.

My picks:

Takumi- "Oh, that's it!" This prickly pineapple archer has attitude and it comes across the most on this quote. Just imagine taking a hit, allowing him to proc Vengeance and he says "Oh, that's it!"- so a VERY fitting quote for the situation. Also has the perfect timing as he snaps to a more serious/angry mode.

Oboro- "You're gonna need stitches." Perfect pun with her fashion theme, nicely integrating it within a battle scenario. I love her VA, although generally her quotes here sound a bit more rougher/more aggressive than in Fates. I do wish "You are so last season" could have transitioned into Heroes as well, but I guess this makes the choice for my favourite quote much easier!

Hinata- "Let's get wild!" Very fitting quote for the wild samurai! I love his cheerful tone during his quotes and he sounds like a very fun guy you want to be friends with! Or an adorable puppy.

@Rafiel's Aria Yeah it's a shame some good lines didn't transition to the game. I really adore Leo's choice of words for his quotes though, and 'cinders' is such a nice word.

@Cute Chao Yeah Xander gets the silliest seasonal variants (well he has 2) and quotes. That slate will be fun whenever we get there!

Again, I just want to vote for all of Takumi's. I love his voice actor - he does such a good job. 

I went for 'I'll shoot you down' because I think it just edges out the others, but 'Die Already' is close. 

Oboro - Stitches. Through and through. Both eludes to her and her fashion, which I like :) I like the way she says it, too. 

Hinata... I'm not really that keen on any of his quotes. I went for 'Let's get wild' 'cos it seems to the most Hinata-like.

My picks:

Ninian- "May this make a difference!" Brianna's easily shot up to one of my favourite VAs, and I love how graceful Ninian sounds. I love this quote because whether it's dancing or attacking, the quote applies and she hopes for a difference (and boy does she make a difference in battles!). Also she uses this quote a lot when I use her so I just associate her with this quote. Second pick would be "Behold my power" because I love the use of behold, and it's a good quote when she transforms into a dragon.

Nino- "I can do this!" As much as Nino is best "do my best" girl, I can only tolerate so much "do my bests" during battle, and I just feel it's too repetitive if she says "I'll do my best" in battle (and it's a bit too hurried for my liking anyway). I prefer "I can do this!" as I feel her performance is better and I love the confidence in her voice.

Florina- "Whoaaaa!" Okay I just love this for the randomness to be honest. I do like her performance in ""Take that!" for it's uniqueness but I feel it's too soft-spoken at the start..which is in character but doesn't really do it for me when playing.

Apparently, I missed the other day’s explanations, even though I voted in the poll. Let’s rectify this.

Takumi: “Die now!” — the second prince of Hoshido isn’t famous for patience and prefers to deal with the foe quickly and efficiently. Michael Sinterniklaas’ delivery works wonders.

Oboro: “You’re gonna need stitches!” — what other line can convey the image of a professional soldier who is simultaneously a talented tailor? Kudos to Marisha Ray’s range; her Oboro, Shanna, and Effie all sound credibly different.

Hinata: “Let’s get wild!” — this brash, scruffy, and impulsive samurai earns his title with his lines. By the way, his liege’s title includes the word “wild” too, so it can be considered smart wordplay. Is the consensus that “Delem Donaldson” is Cam Clarke?

And now for the Elibian girls.

Ninian: “May this make a difference!–” — the theme with the trio is that they all are doubtful in their capabilities as fighters and members of their respective groups. Ninian, a gracious and talented dancer, is afraid that she is a load to Eliwood and his friends. Given a dragonstone, she wants to actually matter. Brianna Knickerbocker’s roles in Heroes may sound a little bit similar, but the amount of expression she puts into them is staggering. This line may very well be a contender for the spot of my favourite one in the whole game.

Nino: “I can do this!” — our favourite green-haired assassin with a negative kill count is here too, driven by desire to prove herself to the woman she thinks her mother. Never having been praised, she doesn’t know if she is doing anything right, and can only believe in herself. Sarah Blandy doing her best, and yes, I couldn’t help it.

Florina: “Take that!” — this skittish youngest Ilian pegapony sister with approximately no self-confidence is our third member of today’s group. This line fits her damaged portrait perfectly: no matter how shy in general, Florina never shies away from danger and is determined to have the upper hand in any situation. And of course, it’s the amazing Julie Maddalena.

Ninian - 'Behold my power' - I just love the confidence with which she says this. I hate shy and retiring female character types - I much prefer when they're coming out of their shell. 

Nino - 'I'll do my best!' - It's pretty much the Nino quote. I couldn't not go for it. 

Florina - 'Take that' - Yeah, I don't really like Florina's quotes, but then she is the shy and retiring female type I mentioned above. This is the only one where she really sounds at all like she's in battle.

Innes- "Thanks for the opening." Xander Mobus strikes again. Cool, confident, with a touch of arrogance backed up by skill- this line taunts you if you're on the receiving end. It's a line that fits a strategic archer like Innes. A close second is "You should have tried harder." 

Tana- "I am a knight of Frelia!" Tana's out to prove herself as not a mere princess, and this line encapsulates that. Second choice would be "You beast!"

Joshua- "Care for a wager?" Suits his character as perfectly as his hat. Gambling reference, battles being a gamble with a winner and a loser- it all works!

Thought this would be fitting on the eve before the Voting Gauntlet about love.

Anyway, my picks:

Palla- "Allow me to demonstrate!" Yes Palla, please demonstrate how big sisters get it done. "I cannot be merciful." is a close second though but I just love the words "allow" and "demonstrate" more. Actually in general, I love the language she uses in all her quotes. A more feminine role for Laura, and it's refreshing to hear Palla's voice.

Catria- "No matter the cost!" Clearly the strongest quote for Catria for me. It's just so iconic back when I used her as my few blue units in the early days of FEH. Serious, and knowing her duties well, it's a great quote for the lovely middle flier.

Est- "Take that!" Logic says "Just like my sisters!" would be a good pick, but I prefer Est to stand on her own. Sure "Take that!" is generic as a quote but I can't say no to Brianna's delivery of this line- it's just so strong, and full of power- I love her as a VA!

Faye- "Wrong move!" I like how she says this the most. Character-wise "For Alm!" might be the most fitting but again, I prefer quotes and characters that aren't reliant on other characters

Clair- "On your knees!" My absolute favourite, even in Echoes, I love how her VA voiced her and the strength of the acting in this quote- it has the perfect amount of aggressiveness. Very close second is "You should be honored!"

Delthea- "Sorry! Not sorry." A cheeky little quote that suits this fanged girl.

Anyway, my picks:

Fjorm- "Leiptr! Lance of Ice!" Welcome to the newest original protagonist. There's nothing else that's more fitting for her really, it just suits her ice theme so much. Her voice is pleasant to listen to although I feel she could force it a bit more in her battle quotes.

Veronica- "I have no use for you." Antagonists do have special quotes and I like some of the quotes! Also, flashbacks from the first Tempest Trials. I really like how she emphasises the word 'you', and it really suits her and her villain stance. Close second is "Feeble creature." because of the language that she uses and how she looks down on you (even if she's pretty short)

Bruno- "Curse me all you like." The mystery masked man of Book 1 who seemed bad but also good but also bad throughout the chapters. This quote is interesting, and Bruno knows he's done bad things, so no matter what his old friends might think he knows he's done bad things. Also as a meta/fourth wall perspective, beating him can be annoying with his Vantage tome...and I will curse him for that especially during early game Heroes when I had poor units!
