Odin Is Stupid

Ok, Odin is so absolutely stupidly good in Conquest. His stats may not be the most impressive at a first glance, but they turn him into the perfect Nosfertank. He breaks the earlygame, Id say even harder than early Paladin Jakob. He has the bulk to use the Nosferatu effectively, and he can solo the entire side of a map. He solod the entire leftside of Chapter 10, and for me he solod the entire Percy paralogue because even Camilla gets overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies. The only thing that gave Odin trouble on the map were the seal defense lancers because things got to the point where they outdamaged his healing on a few runs of the map. This isnt even taking into account that you can give him the first two heartseals and just marry Jakob off early and partner seal him. Vantage Nosferatu sounds almost unbeatable on a player unit.

Odin honestly isn't all that ridiculous because to make him OP you need to solo map(funny enough people would say he's OP BECAUSE he solo maps lol). his full potential is also rather harsh in term of cost to get even by filthy casual standard(Nosferatu, early seals to score vantage, seals back to Sorc, late game seals into MoA again) and most of his nostank shenanigans can be done by simply playing better

Although when invested he's just below Jakob and probably a properly executed Felicia of the scrubsquad in term of potential in a casual min maxy run, and obviously Jakob is the only one who can carry it to efficient level(getting +11 damage for free is completely balanced)

Yes infinite nos is stupid, and yes Odin and everything that can share his skillset are busted. Sans Ophelia who is superbusted... and sans Nyx who is...worthless. Why are people still shocked into spontaneous topic by this. At all. Years after the release? /rant

Expanding the rabbithole: Basicly nothing outheals nos if you stagger your stacked damage setup properly. Ideally you want to be as close to possible to an ohko or 2hko if a nos user is chilling solo (Odin can actually hit ohko benchmarks in ch9). Lategame Sorc functions on nos + vantage/seal str/seal mag/seeker or just runs a forged tome + Vantage/Life or Death/all the stack depending on the map. Same principal as the previous ohko/2hko rule just amped all the way up. Ophelia is known for the later set and uuuh, can solo clear ch28 under a certain extreme minmax build.

Odin wants the second shop seals alongside his waifu for babymaking and passing out sweet sexy dark mage skills. Vantage really isnt needed before that and even with Jakob going partner+fren seals the early pool is pretty tight. (2 seals split between mozu/elise/corncob/Dwyer).

The point about dust is fair, because i forgot how much dust comes from Ophelia chapter, but Odin legit have no issue for his mag value since its "weak enough' to effectively Nosfertank, and late game you can just chuck 3-4 Magic dust on him(with 4 dust he's like 7 mag below cap iirc) since the only unit who'd use it(excluding the Bolt Axe Dust trick) is Leo, and Leo is just Odin-lite(technically if you want to have an easy to use Odin, pick up leo, A+ Odin, and proceed to get the standard Master of Arms stuff. You'd probably miss forrest doing this, but Forrest isn't as OP as Leo at full power)

You don't need to invest heavily for Ophys inventory but the value remains constant as a payoff for fielding Odin and it's fair to consider this in investment. (By extension Jakob gets his cost cut by 13k+ talisman, and Silias/Laslow/Niles by about 5k+ booster.). Early male cost/benefit is just really really good. (Silias can wind up slightly in the red but he keeps up with 1stserve from join and xlones himself so who cares).

I legitimately struggle to justify not buying the early nos tome. It's up there with the early bronze bow/axe and hand axe forge in terms of usefulness throughout the game x.x

Ultimate Power only gives 1 dust alongside pony/gate/lightning but there's basicly 4 open at this point in the game.

Ophy does need dusts to hit her fully boosted cap of 50-51 because holy high number. Some bolt axe users also value dust. Can't claim Odin as the sole user these days and LoD gives him "enough" damage, seals setup even prefers nodust. Still a top end dust option imo.
