FE 10 minor rebalancing hack

Something I did in my spare time, more or less complete. I've done as much as I wanted to based on my knowledge of how to hack this game, though there are a lot of things I would have liked to have done, but couldn't. Still, it should be a decently enjoyable bout if you're looking for a slightly different experience for RD.

Note that you would need to start a new game to get all of the changes. Starting from a clear save is perfectly fine - ideal, actually. Keep saves for the past few chapters as you go along just in case something weird happens, though I'm fairly certain everything should be fine...

Edit: This doesn't seem to work on console unless you use Wiimms ISO tools to rebuild it. Unfortunately, I can't distribute such a patch because rebuilding it in such a way will shuffle all of the files around. This means a patch would contain all ~4.7 GB of data on the disc, which is not only a hassle to share, but would be illegal due to containing original data. If you don't want to rebuild the ISO, or don't know how to, you'll have to stick with emulating it, I'm afraid.

Full patch details:

Spoiler

MD-5 of ISO each patch was made from:
1.0 scrubbed - 3DB6332DA2FB5E92E635B90E6FAD3C8C
1.1 unscrubbed - 5D030F0F1B2D893D239227EF639FD7FC
1.1 scrubbed - AB69A2E040F9D8998BCEB5F3CF399BC9

Use a program such as ppf-o-matic to apply the patch to your ISO. If the hash of the ISO pre-patch doesn't match, the patch won't work at all - the game will simply not progress beyond the H&S screen! Scrubbed means the garbage data (ie. nothing related to the update or game partitions) was replaced by data that would result in a smaller size when compressed as into an archive file.

There are many ways you can calculate the MD-5 checksum of a file, but a simple way is with a hex editor such as HxD (open the ISO in HxD and click on the Checksums option under Analysis, and select MD-5 as the method). You can also use a hex editor to verify whether or not you have a 1.0 or 1.1 ISO - the 8th byte (0x07) will be 00 for 1.0, or 01 for 1.1.

Unfortunately, I do not have have a 1.0 unscrubbed ISO, so I can't provide a patch for that. So if you've ripped your own 1.0 disc or otherwise happen to have a 1.0 image that doesn't work with the 1.0 patch, you will have to download WiiScrubber 1.4.0, load the ISO, and simply click on Scrub for the default settings. It will create a scrubbed copy of the ISO, which *should* work.

If you run into a bug, I need to know which patch you used, ISO version (1.0 vs. 1.1), and I'll most likely need your save file.

There will most likely not be any further changes - just bug fixes if necessary. If I happen to obtain a 1.0 unscrubbed ISO, I will add a patch for that. Further changes would require more knowledge on how to actually hack the game, ie. public documentation.

Corrected the library entry for Muarim. Credit to the one given on the SF introduction page for RD characters. Slightly modified due to space constraints.

Misc. changes:
Celerity: 15 points -> 25 (this is why shove was removed from herons)
Flourish: 10 points -> 5
Stun, Deadeye, Colossus: 25 points -> 30
River tiles cost 10 move for mounted units instead of being impassable (allows movement only for Celerity and/or Boots mounts)
Magic triangle advantage/disadvantage now grants +/- 3 mt and +/- 15 acc to help counter the high resistance mages tend to have

Enemy changes:
2-E boss has Nullify instead of Vantage
3-4 Wyrmslayer Swordmaster now has a Storm Sword
3-5 Wyrmslayer Blade Paladin now has a Steel Blade
3-7 Wyrmslayer Swordmaster now has a Storm Sword
3-10 Wyrmslayer Blade Paladin now has a Killing Edge
3-E Wyrmslayer Swordmaster now has a Killing Edge (absent on easy)
4-1 Wyrmslayer Swordmaster now has a Silver Sword (absent on easy)
4-2 Wyrmslayer Swordmaster now has a Storm Sword (absent on easy)

4-E-2 boss has capped stats, but caps are reduced (spe -2, and def -2, has 5 of 20 mag). Make sure Ike isn't speed screwed! Need 30 speed to not be doubled. Certain priest is holding a non-droppable Creiddylad instead of a non-droppable Panacea to steal.
4-E-3 has Gareth and Nasir shifted one space downwards to be next to boss.
4-E-4 boss has +4 speed - total AS +5, EQ_F -> EQ_D
4-E-5 auras have +5 speed (40)

Small update based on some feedback.

Spoiler

--- v1.01 --

Aran: +1 base speed
Black Knight is no longer armoured, and has speed reverted to 30
Sword General (F): speed cap +3
Florete 25 -> 30 uses
Vanguard speed cap -1 -> -2 (35)

Save file will be compatible with v1.0, but you won't get the base speed increase for Aran if you've already recruited him, nor will you get more uses for any Florete in your possession.
