On Youtube, I was having an argument with someone about porn (don't ask me why). Anyways, iirc, I stated to the person that "Porn is bad and its awful to watch blah blah blah" or something of the sort. His response?

"Men need to watch porn because it prevents them from raping women".  I don't understand how that works, nor do I feel like I want to know.

Leading up to the release of Xenoblade 2 someone called me a Nazi because I disliked Pyra's design.

This is distressingly common, even among amateur historians, but comparing the situation leading up to the fall of the Roman Empire to the present day is absolutely moronic.

I've seen the argument that The Handmaid's Tale is appropriating African-American's experiences with slavery when depicting the living conditions of slaves which ignores the fact that Black people weren't the only people to be enslaved.

Just the other day I saw a video thumbnail calling Prince Zuko the best written character of all time, which, given the sheer weight of incredibly written characters throughout the history of literature, seems rather doubtful.

Don't get me started on rivalries within the ASOIAF fandom, the War of the Five Kings is constantly being fought on the internet.

Being the brother of an artist, I certainly get an earful on that end.

So many think they're entitled to the work of others, it's goddamn sad and stupid.  It's even worse when it's someone with maybe a little bit of notoriety who tries to steal the artwork and then explain that they're gonna show it and make the artist "famous"... as if their minor celebrity status makes them somehow immune to commission fees and the like.

Maybe I ought to go to a tattoo shop and tell them that I'm an internet celebrity and will show their work off via instagram...  You think that'll get me off of paying them to do my tattoos?

 

Anyway, I recall someone actually said something along the lines of "If you don't like big boobs, you're either in high school or single".  This was said during the latest CYL, and it was a Camilla fan expressing why they like her.

I mean, ignoring that it's a total fallacy... I'm pretty sure that being a high schooler makes you even more prone to obsess over boobs.  Also, while I myself really don't care for that character, I know others see more to her than just tits.

I've also seen creepy ass people who turn Nowi into a platform to support pedophilia (which is just fucking stupid).  Back then I was more confrontational over the internet, and I tried to describe to them the psychology of sexually assaulting/harassing or otherwise violating children and how that actually does fuck up kids minds, and someone was just like "where's da proof???".  Uh, try looking at the official APA website or, better yet, look at the mental health records of pedophiles?  I'm not gonna guide your hand, Shirley.

These people called themselves "advocates"... clearly that's just to cover their child-molesting asses.  That's one of the more disgusting internet encounters I came across.  Nowi isn't even supposed to be a fucking child, nor is she a real person; why are you using her as a basis to justify your sick fetishes?

So I've been playing quite a bit of Europa Universalis 4 lately, and a recent patch has nerfed the Ottoman Empire to the point where there is a non-zero chance that they might lose a war early in the game. Y'know, still the 2nd-strongest tag in the game behind the Chinese emperor, regularly conquering Moskva, but it's feasible that their AI makes a poor decision or just fights badly in a war. As a result, some Turkish ultra-nationalists on the official forums even sensed a conspiracy by the developers to... I don't know, really. Make the great Ottomans look bad, maybe?

I was just reminded of this absolute moron of a troll on GameFAQs named PKNintendo.

He's always been going on about how shitty F2P is for FEH, and gets into arguments with others all the time about it.

He once said that F2Pers should be subject to a subscription fee of $10 if they haven't spent money on orbs for a month.  He also made this sorry excuse of a topic, where he basically says he's triggered by people who ask which units they should keep because he supposedly spent over $1,000 on FEH only to not get the specific units he wanted.

At one point, he even suggested that having the "urge" to buy orbs is completely normal and not implicit of a serious addiction problem... and that anyone who is a F2Per is either "lucky" or doesn't have a credit card.  Right, because every adult on the planet sinks all their life savings and even loaned money into a gacha game.

Even if he wasn't a troll and had a serious problem that he won't admit to, he's still an ass about it.  I highly doubt he is genuine, though, because he seems to have a... reputation.

So, I got reminded of a argument over religion and music between two people on Youtube. As the argument progressed, one of the guys started to become more dickish and started to mock the other guy by saying "you probably like Church music" and then  proceeded to post a link of something like this. 

I had an argument with a person on, again, Youtube (popular place to argue amirite) about religion, iirc, and it ended up with him telling me that booty only meant "women", and that I can't  prove it had another meaning. I then proceed to just copy paste the whole meaning of the word from Google to show him he's an idiot. His response: "submit? booty doesn't mean submit  tell me the meaning of booty!". I don't know where he got the word "submit" from the definition...
