Freohr Datia Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) ok I know I've made an art thread before years and years ago for the past couple months I've actually been consistently drawing though so I figured I will make a thread again not very important rambles: Spoiler so I was kind of wanting to look for a way to get money trickling in now and I thought perhaps I should see if I could have the willpower to start commissions! I am very inconsistent with drawing so I've always been afraid to start it before. But I decided to do a test, and asked people in a discord server I'm in to make requests of me, so that I could 1. get more practice 2. time how long I take to work on them to help me figure out pricing and 3. see if I have enough resolve to get them all done. well, it turns out that I finished every request I've received so far. Apparently, I have very little drive to draw stuff for myself unless I'm REALLY INSPIRED by an idea, but when I have somebody else relying on me I get very motivated to not let them down~ so yeah at some point I will be figuring out commissions! To help myself build an audience I have made a tumblr and have just recently started making speedpaint videos. And now my newest step is to create a thread here as well!! I have links to stuff in my signature atm but someday I gotta work on making fancy icon clickies so they can stand out better ^o^ Perhaps I'll even start using my art in my themes... but anyway, please wish me luck, I hope I can get this all to work out <3 Okay! Freohr Datia Posted February 12, 2018 Author Share Posted February 12, 2018 okay so I apologize because I am going to abuse the doublepost exception rule because I don't really plan on keeping a WIP section in the op? (sf's rtf editor scares me but I'm going to try to at least leave the finished works up to date in it) And I do have a WIP going on right now and wanted to share! So, FE Heroes had a halloween banner, and Specta as a halloween lover was really disappointed by the designs so she started making her own halloween designs and encouraged others to do the same! I wanted to create a spooky ghost version of my girl Ninian but only got a sketch done before I had to go babysit (sort of) my younger brothers for my dad up until halloween, so I kind of ran out of time and then lost my motivation But recently I got motivated for it again, and wow you know how art basically always never comes out how you pictured it in your head? Well, she's coming out very much how I pictured it, so I'm amazed tbh. This is the sketch version. I loved the sketch version so much that I'm afraid I'll ruin it in the finished product (I don't have a very ghostly artstyle) and decided to save that version just in case~ Since then, I have gotten some lineart done I am recording the art process of this as well so hopefully I can get a successful speedpaint video up to share once it's finished~! anyway thanks for looking guys ok bye Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
