Dlc is likely showin this week, since the Awakening maps in heroes are comin this week.

Which means we’d get it in a week or two (well we ain’t gettin it Sunday though, so it’ll be closer to 2-3 weeks)

Update: https://twitter.com/theprinceofiris/status/972968700688175106

Looks like the 22nd or 29th. The wait will be real.

This is the tweet he is basing his info off of:

I kind of hoping it isn't the 29th considering the other DLC packs came on the second of third week. Not to mention Heroes is going to have Warriors map starting this week. I could see it being the 22nd but isn't that tweet from the same guy who said there was going to be FE Switch info in the last direct? Hopefully Nintendo or Koei will provide information on Awakening's DLC this week.

The thing is, they're other sources to go off for this. Because some other people did say the same thing that they showed off Tharja at that Cipher event. But the guy looks like he's having trouble really translating or getting actual facts.
Which is kinda of hard in general, since we have no real info, because Koei made it that way on purpose. So the only people who would know or could have seen what was shown, had to be those at the Cipher event. Unfornately, none of those are english speakers and we have crappy translators, which don't help at all.

Unfortunately, it seems like we got nothing from this.

We got Tharja confirmation, that she is a clone of Robin (which means she's among the better characters gameplay-wise), her victory animation being similiar to her figurine, and that Chapter 9 is a History Map.

Because Tharja using light magic (C6), what's wrong with this picture?

lol, nothing. Mages in Awakening could nearly use any tome, so it shouldn't be surprising to see them use a Light tome if they made Robin do that.

Nothing, because Book of Naga.

That was a bonus weapon that really, no one outside of maybe the royal family should have been able to use. Besides, apparently the spell Robin uses there is actually dependent on the user's intentions being good or something.

Except as it turns out, everyone who can use tomes are able to use it. Including the Dark Mages. Tharja thus can in fact use light magic in canon.

If you go by that, just about anybody can use several of the legacy weapons ignoring any requirements to wield them that would have existed beforehand.

Well, FE Heroes just updated the calendar and completely removed the Warriors maps.

Yeah, it looks more likely to be the 29th now. It still kind of sucks that we will have to wait till the end of the month but...oh well. It just didn't make sense to me to have the special maps in Heroes available this week if the DLC wasn't launching a couple weeks later.

There were no restrictions on the Book of Naga by the time Awakening happened, the time in-between it's first use in Genealogy to it's use in Awakening would be plenty of time to have the requirement fade away by the time Awakening happens.

Light Magic has nothing that distinguishes it from a regular tome in Awakening, and the only distinguishing feature it had in SD was that it was only usable by females.  It is not a specific weapon type in any of the three games featured here.

It's weirder to excuse Robin for using Dark Magic as a Tactician than it is for Tharja to use Light Magic as a Dark Mage, as Tharja was never restricted from using Light Magic, while Robin can only use Dark Magic as a Sorceror.  If we use Smash to justify Dark Magic for Robin, we can use TMS to justify Light Magic for Tharja, as she could learn Naga there.

Besides, there's already a case of someone who canonically uses primarily Fire and Dark magic using Light Magic as an attack:  Leo uses Moonlight.

I'm pretty sure Tharja using light magic is just Koei taking creative liberties just like everyone else's moveset in this game and also because they didn't want to make a new Strong 6 just for her.

I have to assume there was some major glitch that suddenly delayed things. The heroes maps were likely planned for at least a little while and the delay was so sudden they had to push out an update to remove them. The dummy update might have been a remnant of that too, something pushed out accidentally when removing it off the servers.

I'm not surprised Tharja turned out to be another Robin clone. At the end of the day she's ''just'' a regular dark mage without legendary weapons or plot significance to draw inspiration from. Her fellow dark mages also already shared Robin's moves so it was pretty inevitable that Tharja would join them.
