Yet you keep acting like Lucina is guaranteed to win just because she's more popular. She is not. There ARE multiplier shenanigans now. So stop.

Honestly, I'd like to think there's no good way to predict a winner until the gauntlets actually start going. The event is so calculation-based that predicting a winner before the gauntlet even starts is like throwing a dart blindfolded in a room where the wall is half dartboard, half no dartboard, and you walked into the room blindfolded.

It doesn't matter if Sharena wins becase popularity (she deserve), or multiplier sheaningans. All is fine as long as better princess win.

With multipliers being a thing, a team's odds correlate to their size vs their opponent's. If say, Lucina has twice as many people as Sharena, she's twice as likely to win.

I do expect Lucina to have the somewhat larger team, and I think a lot of people will side with the older Spring units, as they're more likely to have them.

Unit usability is also a contributing factor to an army's size. Spring Sharena is a better mage than Spring Lucina, I wonder how large her army can be now

Do you think so? Hmm, I suppose that's more a reason why people go for a specific character when summoning, and may influence their choice, though I'd assume it is at best equally as important as the character themselves, including art, voice acting, etc

I can only do half-ass guesses as to who would win the first round. Even if we observe the score predictor, there are bound to be many variables such as time zones of a majority of team members. Hypothetically, let's say that 80% of team Xander's supporters live in the EEST time zone or near it. That means they'll be sleeping for the final hours of Xander's fight against Alphonse. The team doesn't benefit that much from final hour multipliers in this case.

Perhaps people would prefer Catria over Lucina because of her better skillset and being a horse mage or people choosing Kagero over Camilla because she's the only colorless flier.

We aren't exactly sure how many people will be supporting who as there is unit viability, art, fanservice, uniqueness as well as many among other things to take into account. Perhaps people would prefer Catria over Lucina because of her better skillset and being a horse mage or people choosing Kagero over Camilla because she's the only colorless flier.

I think the main thing working against Lucina is that she isn't busty to be blunt. Her lackluster performance may hurt her, but how many really go with that over the character themselves? Then again, I don't just have to have the unit for that team so maybe I'm just weird.

That's why I said pure. Bunny Lucina is fanservice, but normal Lucina has pretty much none. To be fair, I don't think Kagero is pure fanservice either. Camilla on the other hand is pretty close. I'm not hating on Kagero (and Sharena, but Catria eludes me). I got one, and for very shallow reasons.
