But now I'm wondering why Anna's not there. Why did she have to be left out? Poor girl. Anyway, I want that Sharena since I like her and she looks cute in bunny ears! And my Bunny Xander wouldn't be lonely anymore either (he's my only spring unit right now)! I think Kagero and Catria are random/bad choices though. For one thing, are they even popular? And for another, they don't go with the Askrs. Anna and either Bruno, Fjorm, or Gunnthra should've been there instead imo. Also, I dislike Catria a lot. If any Whitewing had to be there, I'd have rather seen Palla. And I'd have rather had Ryoma or Hinoka for a Hoshidan one. But at least another Hoshidan finally got something, I guess. Fuck those chill eggs though. Atk/Def cripple on my -Res physical units and Atk/res drop on my QR tanks? I hope those 2 have poor stats so I never see that shit in the arena. Sharena is the only one I'm not interested in, but since she shares green with Alfonse, she's unavoidable. Won't complain if I get her, mind. Catria is hopefully fast: I could use a Blarblade horse, and I've never pulled Olwen. I realise Ursula is an option, but I'm a little cold on her. Alfonse fills a big gap in the horse lineup too. Between Gunter's cruel BST penalty and Titania's more specialised role, I was torn on how to build Freddybear (who is nearing 4*+10 but lacks any meaningful inheritance). Now there are two physical axe horses, I can build one as a Brave Axe assassin, and one as an enemy phase tank. Kagero is of course a new unit type, and therefore worth it for that alone. I like all of them, Alfonse looks like the least useful but that matters not when his outfit is so ridiculous that I have to get it for the memes! More flier diversity is always welcome for me even if I don't really care about Kagero as a character (and I'm not the biggest fan of her following the Camilla example of being the sexual kind of fanservice). Catria is lovely though! In terms of skills and stuff she doesn't look that impressive but she's my favorite from the whitewings so it's obvious I'll go for her! Skills - Spd/Res Bond and Swift Stance are cool, but not the best. Unique movement/weapon combos - Dagger flier?!? That is cool, but I don't use fliers, so I'll pass. The Chilling Seal eggs are tempting, as well as the new axe cavalry and first colorless flier, but they all fall just a bit short of being exciting enough for me to want to spend orbs on them rather than building my stockpile back up. Though I admit Kagero's art isn't my style, but Dagger Flier. Art and voice wise I just love Catria in this. Sharena is also absolutely adorable. Which means all three colors are interesting for me. Lets see. I have several solid infantry green mages. So Sharena is low on the list for that alone. Cav Axes are few and far between so Alfonse makes a raise just for that alone. Flying Dagger is unique so that is high on my list. And for blue magical cavs I have basically no one I use regularly. Rafiel's Aria Posted March 20, 2018 Share Posted March 20, 2018 Okay... Hm... I think I can get behind this. I'm fairly certain I won't be pulling, but it's a nice surprise. Askr seasonals are kind of fun. I think Sharena got a nice costume design. Alfonse's has quite the awkward crotch situation going on...but it's good art nonetheless. Kagero and Catria remind me a lot of Camilla and Lucina from last year, so I wish there had been a little more variance with the overall designs, but I'm sure someone's going to love them. ^^ Even I'll admit that Kagero's art style is beautiful. But flying dagger before even a flying staff unit is SO random. lol I will say it's nice to have some variety with the character choice even if it's...odd? All in all, an interesting banner, but I think my orbs are safe.
