Description:

Staring Skills:

Starting Stats:

Hyper Offensive Build (Optimal)

Spoiler

Recommend Iv’s: +atk/+spd/-def/-res/-hp

Weapon: Slaying Bow+ (+spd/+Res) | Warrior Princess | Firesweep Bow+

Special: Luna | Moonbow

Assist: Reposition | Draw Back

A Slot Skill: Atk/Spd Bond | Fury | Life and Death | Swift Sparrow

B Slot Skill: Chill Spd | Flier Formation | Chill Def | Chill Res | Desperation | Swordbreaker

C Slot Skill: Flier Guidance | Flexible

Sacred Seal: Spd+3 | Brash Assault

This build just wants her to be very fast and offensive, whether it be with the added effect of not receiving counter attacks, anti armor effect, or just a faster cooldown

Bravest of Archers

Spoiler

Recommend Iv’s: +atk/+spd/-def/-res/-hp

Weapon: Brave Bow+

Special: Luna | Moonbow

Assist: Draw Back | Reposition

A Slot Skill: Life and Death | Death Blow

B Slot Skill: Swordbreaker | Chill Def | Desperation | Lancebreaker

C Slot Skill: Flier Guidance | Flexible

Sacred Seal: Spd+3 | Brash Assault | Atk+3

This build wants her to either go full offensive brave bow or the quad bow. Life and Death, Desperation, and Spd+3 are recommended for the Quad Build, while everything else is recommended for the Two shot brave bow build

Defensive Build

Spoiler

Recommend Iv’s: +def/+res/-hp

Weapon: Guard Bow+ (+def or +res)

Special: Iceberg | Glacies | Luna

Assist: Draw Back | Reposition

A Slot Skill: Distant Def | Fury

B Slot Skill: Quick Riposte | Guard

C Slot Skill: Flier Guidance | Flexible

Sacred Seal: Iote’s Shield | Distant Def | Quick Riposte

This build focuses on improving Hinoka’s enemy phase performance, specifically, by increasing her defenses. Guard bow is the obvious weapon to give, due to how it helps her defenses. For A Slot, Fury is for helping her spd to allow for more doubles, but thanks to QR, this isn’t as recommended. Distant Def is more recommend, to help her defenses. Iceberg or Glacies is more recommended as her special, since that will be a high stat with this build. Both Guard and QR can help her tank more. It’s up to you which B Slot you want. The C Slot is very flexible, but plots and her native Flier Guidance are most recommend for this. And for Sacred Seal, go Iote’s Shield if you want her tank bows (for some reason). Otherwise, go Distant Def or QR

All three of these bows function differently, and out of those three, only Firesweep Bow is viable and practical for an offensive nuke. In my opinion, Warrior Princess and Firesweep Bow should be in their own separate sections, and Slaying Bow is not worth mentioning.

Offensively, no one uses Slaying Bow because Brave Bow and Firesweep Bow exist, and both of them are far superior to Slaying Bow. Slaying Bow is primarily for Close Counter archers who are not expected to fight ranged units. Slaying Bow lacks the damage output of Brave Bows and is just as vulnerable to counter attacks.

Like Slaying Bow, Warrior Princess is outclassed by Brave Bow and Firesweep Bow offensively. Warrior Princess is primarily for Arena Assault or if you are at the very top of the Arena constantly facing armor teams. Against armor units, you may also want to consider Windsweep/Watersweep to prevent them from counter attacking, since there may not always be a safe unit to eat a counter from to activate Desperation.

Offensive archers practically only have Brave Bow and Firesweep Bow to choose from, and which one they use depends on your Arena Tier and what enemies you face. Brave Bow is cheap and dishes out the most damage out of all the bows, so it is great for lower tiers of the Arena. In higher tiers, Firesweep Bow is the Weapon of choice as lots of enemies got Distant Counter.

I do not recommend Bond skills on nukes since they often need to move away from their ally to attack.

If you really want to use Slaying Bow and Warrior Princess on a Player Phase archer, Desperation is the only viable choice to preserve her sustainability. All other B skills listed are more suitable for a Brave or Firesweep build as those builds are much less dependent on their B slot for performance.

Firesweep example

Spoiler

A: Life and Death / Swift Sparrow / Fury
B: Poison Strike / Chills / (flexible)
C: (flexible) / Savage Blow*
Sacred Seal: Poison Strike / Savage Blow* / Speed +3

*Arena Assault use

Warrior Princess example

Spoiler

A: Life and Death / Swift Sparrow / Fury
B: Windsweep / Watersweep / Desperation
Sacred Seal: Phantom Spd / Speed +3

In my opinion, those are two different Brave Bow builds and should each have their own section, as their Special, A, B, and Sacred Seal slots are completely different. If you lump them together, I recommend making it clearer which skill is for which build, either via color coding or however you want to format it.

Brave Bow (Fast) example:

Spoiler

Special: Luna
A: Life and Death / Swift Sparrow / Fury / Brazen Atk/Spd
B: Desperation
Sacred Seal: Attack +3 / Speed +3

Brave Bow (Slow) example:

Spoiler

Special: Moonbow
A: Death Blow
B: Chill Def / (flexible)
Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse / Heavy Blade

Even with +Def, Def Refinement, and Iote's Shield, tanking bows is still a terrible idea since Brave Bow and Firesweep Bow exist, and neither have much difficulty shutting Hinoka down.

I recommend Moonbow so WOF!Hinoka can activate a Special in her first round of combat to make sure to kill any mage that tries to attack her.

I discourage using Glacies as that Special is super slow to trigger, and if WOF!Hinoka is not activating a Special in her first or second round of combat, she is effectively fighting as if she does not have a Special at all.

For Enemy Phase units, Fury is absolutely recommended with Quick Riposte (assuming the player does not have Steady Breath and Warding Breath) to help them prevent doubles. Fury alone is never enough to allow any unit to reliably double and that was never its main purpose unless it is part of a Spd stacking build for Player Phase units. For Enemy Phase units, Spd stacking to reliably double without using Quick Riposte requires around 55+ Spd, and that is simply not practical to achieve for most units and teams.

Additionally, WOF!Hinoka will be half dead after tanking Celica or Ishtar, so the recoil damage makes little to no difference as colorless mage tanks are often used just once per battle and then set aside.

The hardest-hitting non-Special single hit from an armor you'd be expected to see is +10 Grima's 67 Atk with a dual Rally on him.

A +0 Hinoka with Fortify Fliers active and neutral Def has 60 physical bulk, which becomes 68 physical bulk at +10 merge.

The other armors with Distant Counter weapons are far weaker on their normal attacks, with +10 Hardin at 60 Atk when buffed and +10 Zelgius at 62 Atk, meaning Hinoka can survive counterattacks from both of them without issue with a +3 merge.

The only build you actually have to worry about is Zelgius (Alondite, Black Luna, Steady Breath / Warding Breath, Quickened Pulse), which will have Black Luna activate on his counterattack (his various non-Alondite builds are no problem because he can't run both a Breath skill and Distant Counter at the same time).

The only real problem you might run into is not having enough Spd to double a couple of the faster armors. Amelia fairly often stacks Spd, and at +10 merge will reach 47 Spd with a +Spd nature, a Spd refine, and a dual Rally. A +3 Hinoka [+Spd] only reaches 49 Spd with Hone Fliers and Swift Sparrow 2. However, a +10 Hinoka reaches 52 Spd and safely doubles even Amelia (but is still 1 Spd short of doubling a Spd-stacked Lyn with no stacks of Blarowl). I suppose that could be fixed with the Speed +3 Sacred Seal, though. Or teammates.

Is it worth mentioning again just how powerful Quad Goad (or even Hone + 3 goads) can make flier units, especially ranged ones (+12 Atk&Spd // +14 each w/ a Hone & 2 goads)
even more so now that Camilla grants an extra +3 Atk/Spd on top of a potential goad (max of +17 each) on top of being able to stick Drive Atk 2 in someone's seal slot (+20/+17)
And how being able to ignore terrain makes it REALLY EASY to maintain these buffs
