  1. 1. What do you prefer in a Fire Emblem game?

I wouldn't mind having some options for limited grinding. Ultimately balance a game without grinding, but allow a troop training mechanism that allows BEXP. The BEXP is theoretically unlimited, but you have to either clear the next chapter or wait over 24-48 real-life hours if you want to train units again. Basically, I'll allow grinding as a emergency measure, but at the same time, discourage it.

Resource allocation is one of the more engaging aspects of the series, and without it, there isn't much strategy to the games. I prefer little/no grinding, but I will take advantage of less-open options for excess EXP when possible, such as through BEXP and some casual arena use if a particular character isn't doing anything that turn and the option is available. I guess the closest I come to grinding is for supports in the GBA titles if I don't feel like flexing my Tactics rank.

I really like how in FE4, you are somewhat expected to use the Arena, but it is not possible to 'abuse' it outside of having a scrub constantly lose to spam healer exp.

I'm in the mixed camp: on one side I like limited resources. Makes it more challenging and having to think what to do with your resources. But on the other side I like grinding as an option for the post-game (Echoes and Awakening).
