I think one of us was born to be the Doom Guy. It just takes the right conditions (i.e. asshole scientists spawning a portal to Hell) to awaken that in whoever it sleeps in. One of the telltale signs that you are, in fact, the Doom Guy is if you always skip cutscenes in video games, even if you've never seen them before. Doom Guy doesn't bother with sitting around and watching shit happen, he just rips and tears right out of the gate. You should also be able to stomach the death animations in gory games like Dead Space and Mortal Kombat. It also helps if you've beaten all the Doom games. Even the less good ones.
