Got a Veronica from my free pull, +Def/-Res. This is good for three reasons:

1) I don't have to be mad about her IVs because I have a merged Pega!Nino.
2) I have more Dragonflowers for F!Grima.
3) The first point means I can happily mulch her for G Duel Flying, turning Reyson into an Arena nuisance.

Pegasus Carrot interactions with T-Adept and Cancel Affinity.

Sometimes I wonder why people even try these combinations out at all when all they do is reaffirm that the existing rules are still the existing rules.

It should be obvious that it still works with both Triangle Adept 3 and Cancel Affinity 3 active. Weapon triangle advantage exists whether or not you deal extra damage because of it.

Levelling up my first circle Bruno and my god, what a terrible unit. Granted, he is -Att, making the training harder, and he still has the advantages of Cavalry/Staffs, but his stats are really underwhelming, or rather, just bad. Struggling this much on the mage map is fascinating. Not even sure if I'll keep him around that long after using him in TT+ if I am being perfectly honest. Unfortunately, foddering him off would still only allow for a single skill to be transferred with all levels, even after the recent changes, so I can't even give anyone his staff AND Dazzle at the same time, bummer. How does one even build a super slow cavalry healer with nothing but decent def? Whatever I can think of feels like a huge waste on him. I do like his staff though, for general sustainability and as an alternative to the usual pain/gravity healers.

Lucked out with this banner! Here are the results of my first session:

Got the Palla on free summon and she's +Res/-Def. Bruno is +Atk/-HP.

Bruno looks unhappy in that outfit. Its funny because according to the story he's a lot more open to it than Veronica.

Its a shame they didn't run into the bunny Askrians while they were at the festival.

Well my ~100 or so orbs got me. . . a 4.25 pity rate. And a 4* Reyson I guess. I didn't have him yet.

I would have settled for any of the girls. Though the more I see Palla's art the more it. . . looks off to me. So Marisa and Veronica would be my top picks. Though Veronica is outclassed by FlyingNino. Not sure what I would have preferred her to be though.

Anyways enjoyed the paralogue. Veronica is such a suspicious girl. Can't she ever trust Loki. . . wait. That is just good sense.

Anyone happen to hear the word 'fecundity' before? It basically means the same thing as 'fertility', but with some nuance or other, and I just want to know if it's them trying to obfuscate the sex joke or something I just happened to miss.

Bunny Veronica Please. I've trying to find a replacement for Pegasus Nino. Also she is so cute and precious.

I actually wonder which ones better...

Tbh, I thought Flying Nino couldn't be outclassed, but +4 to all stats is preeeetty good.

I'd say it's a coin flip. Both of their PRFs give innate +3 Spd and both have damage-boosting effects (Vero's +4 to all stats versus Nino's guaranteed damage). They're almost entirely identical aside from their statlines.

Either go with a full support build centered on his staff weapon or go full Pain.

Fire Emblem's got a lot of pegasus knights. Every time one arrives in a New Heroes banner they get flack for being "just another lance flier". So Marisa bugs me. Why use seasonals to compound the issue? Plus we've already seen what a carrot lance looks like. Haha, hilarious. We all know Spring Xander can't upgrade into that the way Assassin's Bow morphs into the unrelated Guard Bow. I don't want people to be mean to Florina's sisters if they appear in the future the way they've been mean to Thea.

Agreed. They should stick to not-common-in-canon weapon-class comboes with Seasonals.

Lance Infantry or even Armor would have been better. We've only 7 Lance Armors, only 4 in the standard summoning pool, so far, with 24 playable Armors of any weapon type left to add (and Meg and Brom are predestined for Sword and Axe, Douglas is prolly Axe too).

We're at 14 Lance Fliers in FEH, all but one in the standard summoning pool, so far. And yet we've 29 canon playable Fliers left to add, the majority of whom would likely come with Lances (I'd be fine if they retooled Zeiss or Heath into an Axe though despite no canonicity, and gave Farina or Fiora a Sword).

Uh no, we’ve now got two seasonal lance fliers (Ryoma, Marisa) and a GHB one (Valter). That, and the overall number is now at 15.

One, I excluded the brand new Spring Marisa.

Two, my old list I was looking at quickly did not distinguish between GHB and not, only alt and non-alt, so that explains the Valter hiccup, I should have said 13 canonical fliers, 12 in the pool.

I got RR!Veronica with about 35 or 36 Orbs! She is [-Def, +Res], so I guess it could have been worse. I wish she was +Spd, but oh well.

I'm sorry. You probably didn't intend anything by it, but asking that a female villain be more "polite and considerate" honestly sounds rather creepy.

I said more polite and considerate. Not entirely polite and considerate. Another way to say it would be "less flirty/mischievous/taunting/rude/crude/undignified/etc." This is all just my opinion anyway. I don't mind her being cunning or witty. I think the best villains out there are intelligent. I don't even mind her being mischievous. I just don't like her being so "take my body, whether you want it or not." Surtr and Helbindi were good, imo, and certainly didn't fall into the problems I have with Loki.

But it just wouldn't be Loki anymore.

I don't work for IS, so it's not like I'm a threat to her being...her. I was just stating what I, personally, would prefer, and tried to make that obvious using the words I did, such as "I'd actually like her, most likely." which clearly displays that this is only my personal preference. This is, after all, a forum, not a board meeting, and I did make an effort to use wordage that showed I was being subjective, not objective.

I no fan of her either but this is a bad move. Removing a character of her sexuality if it is part of him/her is bad:

the problem is that she is not given enough spotlight and characterization, with that her obviously sexual tone can be avoided or even better make her a lot more interesting for a FE standards villainous character (to be fair we don't know if she is a villan or not but she has her own agenda).

Want to do her more interesting? Easy, make her some kind of timeless eldritch abomination like her Paralogue with Young Azura seemed to imply.

That will make her flirtatious and unapologetic personality freaking creepy.

Also I think fanservice is fine but it should be aimed for both parts of the spectrum (there people who like man and all that), make more units like Summer Frederick (Bruno is totally fine but it is becoming the exception lately).

See above. Also, she was a highly featured character in a Forging Bonds, so it's not like she hasn't had a chance to be displayed. But part of a person is how he/she presents him/herself, too (which is also why I think Olivia's kind of ridiculous. If you're that shy and don't want people ogling you, wearing something more modest is an obvious step towards what will make you more comfortable.) Loki is the goddess of mischief. I would not be surprised if she gets a Mythic form someday. By my earlier statement, I was saying that I don't like her at all as she is, with the exception of her hair and face, and so an improvement to me would be almost an entire rehaul. As stated, all this is subjective to my own point of view, being one who values dignity and modesty, both of which she flies in the face of. (This is also why there are plenty of other characters I dislike.) Normally, I'd keep quiet for this very reason (people trying to correct my opinion) but I was noticing that there are a couple things I do like about the character (again, hair and face) which really was more of what I was trying to say.

On your point about men being just as sexualized, no thanks. (Again, my opinion.) If only because right now, at least, the men have realistic, natural proportions unaugmented by magic/surgery. This is also why I mind Bunny Sharena less than Kagero/Camilla/Loki/etc. in the design department. 97% of their body fat is in their chests, with pretty much nothing elsewhere. This would be okay if not for just how much fat is there and nowhere else. Even then, it wouldn't be so bad if they actually covered up. I have a large bust myself, and because I don't want people ogling me because I don't sell my body cheaply (free = cheap), I wear something called a shirt. Also support (not that I don't get sores on my sides from said support, but it's better than my bone structure sliding out of place.)

Really, I wish that there were large-chested women in fantasy who took a similar stance. It's annoying how having a large bust seems to mean you HAVE to flaunt it everywhere all the time whether the people around want it (and then equate you to just your body) or don't want it (and don't respect you because all they can see is what you're putting out there, which is your body.) There will always be people who want to show off their gigantic busts. Fine; whatever. But why is there basically NO representation of any other stance held by said busty women in fantasy? As one myself, I find it annoying.

Sorry this turned into something of a rant, but since people seemed to need clarification on what is my own opinion and not an executive decision being made by someone in IS, I felt I should clarify. Provided this doesn't continue, I'll go back to keeping my non-positive opinions to myself as well as I can.

you know what I kind of agree with this. Personally I'm torn. Loki's sexuality is definitely a huge defining aspect of her character and the story uses that playful sexiness and sly mischievous personality to create a rather interesting fem fatelle esque character. What I don't like is how the Devs treat her as a summonable unit. It's the same problem I have with Camilla. I don't mind the overly doting nature or her sexiness. What I do mind is that it's shoved in my face every five seconds for the sake of giving the degenerate otakus some eye candy and no other reason beyond that. Like she's an interesting character but when they do stuff like that it irks me because it feels like the devs think that's ALL I care about and it's just a little insulting. I dunno Fanservice is a tricky thing.

You know, I actually found this really encouraging. :) It's nice to hear this prospective from a man, since usually from them, all I hear is something along the lines of "I may not say it directly but I want you to shut up about your opinion because I want my eye candy and you're making me feel a little guilty about that." Thanks for the different prospective!

No problem. I may be degenerate weeb trash but even I can say when enough is enough when it comes to fanservice. For me, the reason I hate it is because it feels like my intelligence is being insulted. There are good and bad ways to do fanservice but IS doesn't seem to understand that(at least to some degree anyway). I mean I like my anime tiddies as much as the next guy just don't do it in a way that sacrifices writing quality or character integrity(unless you're doing something like Senran Kagura in which case by all means you can be as much of degenerate as you like because you know that's kind of the entire point)

And meanwhile, there's me who's attracted to girls and outright repulsed by 'tiddies'. I get, like, some goodies squeezed in there, but for the most part, it's all sexy costumed girls and the token boy.

I enjoy an eye candy, don't feel in the slightest "a little guilty'" about it, but it's still not what I want to see most when new units are released.

I would be just as excited with 4 new male units for as long as they aren't alternates.

There’s fanservice and then there’s canonized ecchi hentai. That Loki art is downright pornographic.

I’ve seen worse. With as much anime trash as I’ve seen, you start to get desensitized to it. I mean seriously if you think that’s bad go look at the character designs for stuff like “how to not summon a demon lord” or if you really wanna see “ecchi that should be hentai” you should watch “rasario + vampire” or “to love ru” now those shows are the pinnacle of soft core hentai. Well that and uhh that other short OVA series that I refuse to name. And yes that “anime” is considered ecchi and not hentai by sheer technicality.
