Well, I've started feeling like I'm gonna need the orbs and all from this, so I've changed my mind and decided to enter after all. Also, I'm curious about the new system and how it'll work out. I think since I have a 4 star Julius, I'll just start with him. Plus, I like his dad.

In times like this, with IntSys reducing the amount of F2P orbs, we cannot let any free orbs pass away. Welcome back, Anacybele, and good luck in this VG.

I just recently started playing this game, and was curious about this. What does this affect? Or does it just serve for another way to get rewards? i'm a little confused I guess. Sorry if this sounds a little silly, I read the first post and got pretty confused as well.

Um, just a bit really, I only started a few months ago, so not that much? Is that important?

Oh ok. I thought that this was your first Voting Gauntlet.

I am also kinda curious... I like to meet new players.

Oh, this is! I haven't done this before, which is why i'm asking. I kinda ignored it before because I wasn't sure what to do. We can both agree there, then. I for sure wouldn't say i'm even close to an expert on this game. If skipping it is indeed bad then... oops.

I believe this change, with the introduction of the ballots, is to make this mode more "fair" or balanced, to make us strategize more about when is the best moment to use the ballot.

Previous VGs were decided based on the last multipliers. It was very common the team that usually got the multipliers in the final hour to be the winner team.

So I suppose i'll give this a shot, then. nothing to lose, right? At least, I hope not...

Nothing to lose. At least you will get some orbs and sacred coins from the quests, and a good amount of feathers from the event. It's very easy to reach the end with ~10.000 feathers earned during the event

Oh, wow that's not bad at all! Thanks for the help, and sorry again for the silly questions!

No problems, and I am glad for being helpful.

Oh, and don't get mad for being in a losing team... the winner team only gets 500 feathers. it's not a big deal. Just do your best. Each round has 45 hours, and the multipliers increase each hour. The second day of each round will have the higher multipliers, so if you want a high score I recommend to use your flags during the 2nd day of each round, which is what I normally do.

It's just a game, I don't really mind losing, it's just for fun! Alright, thanks for the advice, are flags earned by entering?

Since Idunn decided to grace me with her presence, she's now my second pick after daddy Garon bites it and groans his last. Sorry Grima, aside from the fact you've already won one of these for all your power you can't quite do this:

Flags are earning by completing Voting Gauntlet quests. They are like: "Win a battle in the Voting Gauntlet with a red ally on your team." or "Win Arena Duels at any difficulty. (5 Times)". They are not difficult to complete.

The Voting Gauntlet battles are 3 Vs 3 battles. Your team will be: The first unit in your current team (the one in the far left) +.a unit from your friend list that is supporting the same team + a unit from a random player taht is supporting the same team. If you don't have. If you don't have friends in the same team you are supporting, you will receive 2 random units.

Ah right, those quests. I seem to forget about them more often than I should. I'm never sure whether or not to expend my resources, i'm kinda finicky about that.

Just what is that yellow stuff she is exhaling? Do Divine Dragons turned soulless Mage/Demon Dragons (Maryu) eat giant lemons?

If you were looking for a serious answer, it's from Bonfire activating.

*Remembers Awakening* Okay, that makes sense. Admittedly, I haven't ever played this game with the animations on. Why fire turns to flowers, must be a Japanese thing, not that I mind. In fact it'd be great if everywhere an enemy fell, a flower garden sprung up around them, to recall old Okami.

According to the FE wiki, the Japanese name for Ignis contains one of the Kanji for “flower” so that’d be why I guess.

Let's see how things change with this new Voting Gauntlet.  I'm Team Feathers as always.

I alluded to it a couple of times before, but I'd like to announce a new Voting Gauntlet predictor.  If Reddit can have one, why not us?  For posterity, here is the link.

Explanation for why I developed it and how it works in the spoiler space below:

Spoiler

The current hour is highlighted in purple.  Vote totals should update at about 3-10 minutes after the top of each hour, with the predictions taking about 60-90 seconds to update.  (I force Google Sheets to slow down in order to update since sometimes vote totals might show up as blank at times, and I made sure that it doesn't happen.)  It's fully automated, so after each round the sheets update for the next round immediately.

The Reddit predictor has a few issues that I hope mine addresses at least to some degree.

One problem is that it doesn't account for time zones very well, like when folks from Japan vote vs. those from Europe, those from North America, Australia, etc.  Mine attempts to address this with Score vs. Hour 1 multiplier, which bases the vote predictions on the first hour numbers since the percentages usually don't change a lot.

Another issue is afterglow, which is inflated vote totals the hour after a multiplier.  This is accounted for with the Afterglow multiplier, with most hours assuming a 60% increase in vote totals compared to hours with no multipliers on either side.

Flag spending goes up during disadvantage multipliers, so I account for that with the Flag spending multiplier.  The closer the round gets to ending, the more flags are spent, especially in the final round.  (Some of this is also accounted in the Score vs. hour 1 multiplier, especially in the final round.)

Because of the nature of chaos theory, exact predictions are impossible.  Sometimes they're far off.  So my predictor has what I call a "correction algorithm", which readjusts the three multipliers I mentioned if the predicted vote totals are too high or too low, which one is adjusted depends on what's happening in the current hour.  Hopefully this leads to better predictions.

I have accounted for the new endurance multipliers in my predictor.  It just doesn't look like it right now, and I'm testing a version where it's a bit more visible.  If it works out well, I'll share the link for the second and final rounds.  It might take 2-3 events before I have a better idea of how to readjust my multiplier tables for better results.

I make no claims that my predictor is more accurate or better than the one on Reddit.  It is another tool meant to help guide you in terms of flag spending.

Big thanks go to @Alkaid, @Astellius, @Azuris, @daisy jane, @Maaka, @Mau, @mampfoid and @Landmaster for testing the predictor out the last 3 events!

Also, thank you to @Diovani Bressanfor putting the link on the first post!

Enjoy this predictor!  If you have any feedback or constructive criticism, please let me know!

Thanks again for your work! I won't become a heavy user, since VG is not my favorite mode, but this might become the crucial tool for all competitive VG players.

I'm going with my heart on this one: Idunn, Duma, and Hardin are not completely evil, but corrupted, so I'll go with those three and hope at least one of them makes it to the end. And since I've not played Binding Blade or any Archanea games...

See you on the other side of the gauntlet, Duma.

FC and such are in my sig. Think this time I'm going to have my lead be someone... tame in power, but should still prove useful overall.

Myrrh [+Def 3 merge] with Great Flame, Repo, Bonfire, Fortress Def/Res 3, Quick Riposte 3, and Hone Dragons.
