Fire Emblem Female Only: Currently on Sacred Stones

)Hey losers.

I feel like doing female only runs because I felt like 2008 Moogle Boss possessed me when I was in the shower.

Anyways, here's the ruleset for Sacred Stones:

Spoiler

Rules

  1. Female Only: Saying Female is so weird, whatever. Only girls, ladies, and chicks.
  2. Forced Deployed Dnits: Units like Arthur in Chapter 4 that are deployed without me doing anything are move around, get chests, open doors, talk to units, recruit units, steal things, all that jazz.
  3. Thief Clause: Fire Emblem devs are coward and only gave us one female thief on the GBA, so for games without female thieves, I'll use the guys until I can swap them out.
  4. Lord Clause: This game is ugly and forces Ephraim in the game despite the fact he can't read, so when he's forced, he's in.

Part number 1 of Sacred Stones Female Only

Spoiler

image.png.c3af86508de89ef4ff080850159e51c6.png

I'm eating while writing this. I love BBQ chips.

image.png.ebc4bdcf6a1cfb01b85f6979d26881cd.png

Because I'm not a little bitch.

image.png.654db1d3b1af470f993848c40825b8f2.png

Yes this image is bigger, and yes, it will stay like that. Anyways, I don't like screenshotting plot (or just reading it because I've read it so many time) so here's the plot: OP is under attack by the evil red guys, and he's like "fuck how will my femcel daughter survive while my useless son is away?" so he sends his femcel daughter on a trip with her ex-boyfriend and he's like "aight I can die now" and the red guys are like.......... okay sure.

image.png.7057124e69d70e0f78cba49b3aefe97d.png

He's useless because he got stabbed so femcel Eirika has to carry his poor ass around.

image.png.80ff111a1717c513c90ff35b580e0d50.png

Here's the girl who has to carry three useless men until she gets an useless flier. She's the main lord until the route split unless you choose to go with her. Which I will, but I'll also do the Ephraim route because...... completion or something. Here's her growth:

image.png.0b01cdc28615487d9d54fd2a9c80da5e.png

(thanks FE wiki) So basically, her gig is dodge things, hit back with her rapier, and hope she doesn't die. Also known as the Myrmidon Syndrome, but Eirika is a little bit tanky with her 70% HP and her bad-but-not-0% defensive growth. What I want from her is to get to at least 10 Strength before the end of the route split which might be too much to ask, but ya' know, I'm desperate.

image.png.a3f182f05caa1979cdc25144b48942ff.png

Here's her prefered (prf stands for that, right?) weapon. It kills things and we like that. We will get another one at chapter 9 so watch me use it all before that.

image.png.3c138dd5488d759ad5a65533502c0f14.png

image.png.338000f98f2b22da8f21a043ba71952e.png

See, she's just fine. Prologue is a non-issue.

image.png.898dcec72b4a32e6ca97acc56e14d710.png

Also Seth is giving his things to Eirika because I don't want him to use my Silver Lance. That's just not happening.

image.png.189f84d891ee811918b5c25fcd0136b5.png

Seth is useless so Eirika eats an axe in the face, but like Whitney Houston, it's not right but it's okay so she then clease her palate with some vulnerary. Also I need to figure out how to like make the emulator pause when I'm taking screenshots because I'm missing things I want to show.

image.png.951bf9c3b2cb31f8f81c1c460eef3901.png

All according to the plan, I don't want to get hit again and the AI likes hitting Seth because he has no weapon so that's cute.

image.png.4ff1748f7a3b51baa48b8e14f345478f.png

With this fighter dead, we are now left with the boss, who is also a non-issue. So let's do just that.

image.png.e57440f673c27b7f459e3c54fd1a38d7.png

He says that in Hard Mode? Uh, that's odd.

image.png.b82cd48003dca29f9bb6e3d600258210.png

He moves in Hard Mode. He's kinda a problem because Eirika doesn't double him with base speed so we'll have to wait three turn to play safely. Yeah, that sucked.

image.png.03894a934db0cc322a722731de25099c.png

Yeah. Prologue female only is not a problem.

image.png.7119f4a5db00812fe368a2348cce4707.png

Well, this level up isn't that good, but she did get +1 in speed so I can't really be mad. She'll need at least 8 might to actually do damage to later enemies with her Rapier, so you better get going Eirika, nobody can do your job.

image.png.f12cb0bc90079d07d77c7e4084fc71b5.png

So that's the end of the Prologue. Seth is like "omg ur dad was such a dick wtf am i supposed to do with you" and Eirika is like "wtf stfu ur useless you didnt even fight last time." So the Seinfield music plays and they go to the next chapter.

image.png.4d4921cb09faa5df4e41c8fca5615b27.png

Chapter 1: Escape is.... kinda tricky. There are two strats I can do: clear the map as fast as possible and seize, or sit on a fort grind out the experience. On Hard Mode, it might be a problem to do the latter one because we are going to get hit and I don't want Franz and Gilliam to take my experience. However, the first strat relies on me getting a crit on the boss on the first round we fight him and that's unreliable. Is this the chapter where I'm going to reset? Maybe.

image.png.f1485be8e1c695aa919dddf638ac6178.png

Tana is Eirika's galpal or something and she's stuck in her tower and everyone is like "bitch, the red guys are coming" and she's like "that's kinda yikes" and she does nothing to save herself. So we have to save her. Yeah, that's Tana. We'll get her later, but for now, she's useless.

image.png.add5d2f9b679f256f5de1ea6c118bf4a.png

Here's the map. As you can see, Eirika is kinda at a disadvantage because Seth cannot fight and there's 3 lance users so she's going to get hit. We get reinforcement from the little red arrow, they are also useless but it's fine because they are going to bring us free things which is great. Anyways, the boss isn't scary but he looks like that.

image.png.1693460198d3cfce4dc0041054182ec2.png

Good news: he takes effective damage from Eirika and he gets doubled.

Bad news: He has WTA and probably don't die that quickly.

image.png.37e3558bed7479636638c899258d31dc.png

The best (only) thing Seth can do this chapter is becoming a meatshield. That's his job from now to forever. Enemies will focus him because he is weaponless, but if Eirika isin the kill range of one of the goons, she's going to be one attacked.

image.png.6c400a27e3a69aae1b4bd4c03542802b.png

Eirika's job is, from now to forever, not get hit and try to kill them.

image.png.c6d15dd9b2a6e85afab97e9e57d42c7f.png

In this screenshot you see Useless #2 and #3, but also #1 getting attacked. Gilliam and Franz come with stuff I want but I can't give them to Eirika so if they fight and get experience, so be it. I can't really make the AI do what I want in that case, sadly.

image.png.74b55ffad8b0ce4ca41b45d88bec3507.png

That's why I wanted a might level-up, because she would have been able to one shot the fighters. It's not the end of the world but it might bite me in the ass if I get bad RNG.

image.png.010f916f72dedf46a6da40e73017f2ac.png

Useless #2 and #3 are also going to meatshield this chapter, and the chapter after so they might not be that useless (lol).

image.png.88f41c72c8fbe293bb5b0c5eeb6fa846.png

One of the fighter decided to suicide on Gilliam for a reason I don't know. I guess the AI prefers WTA than survival.

image.png.878e7fe2903b8ea4095ed519388a2dca.png

Franz missed two 84 in a row and managed to get hit by a 70. I would feel bad if Franz were to die so I'll let him use a vulnerary. The real reason is that I need a meatshield. Also you can see that we have enemies reinforcement in the bottom right which........ I'd love to kill but I have no idea if I can.

image.png.13778dafd45de8dfd9cb985acdffc32a.png

Nyeeh, fuck. Eirika, that's why you need to get might on your first level up.

Reset: 1

image.png.156fef90920da0f7b0fdb9169731211e.pngimage.png.cd6538ccfae8bf2ab44525bee1972dd7.png

Back here, let's try it again. I put Seth and Eirika in different spots than last time so that Eirika can get a little more experience and potentially level up from her fights. Yes, I took that while the loser was talking, I need to put the automatic end option on disabled.

image.png.db8046021550d002b81bc47a918c7045.png

Here, the soldier didn't move. So that's good. I'll block him off with #2 and #3 and hope to do enough chip damage so that Eirika can get the kill. Also the two fighters prioritized Seth, and I'm at peace with that.

image.png.a1edcc2795d7646e9fd0bcc6101b8115.png

Moving Eirika on the forest so that she gets some defence and some avoid. I still think the soldier won't go for her, but last time I thought that too.

image.png.366033ff987ad8432793808ecbf7c2ad.png

Franz kills one soldier, so that's no experience for the real units.

image.png.31b9967642d9d50ae52a2900afd8d77d.png

However Eirika manages to get one kill and gain a level out of it.

image.png.4d597f1d58e411b53c290ff9f22b99ca.png

Despite the lack of speed, this is a good level up because she really needs that might to be able to sustain herself in the later (early) chapters. Speed is good, but her base is already good enough to double most enemies until Chapter 5.

image.png.804b30061ad77ad787b3fcf9603366d5.png

She does get hit in the process, but meatshields are for that.

image.png.1085dd268b66408ed6d9b182b6acb8df.png

Since the meatshields did their jobs, the fighters went for Seth, who is faraway from dying. Despite what I'm calling the meatshields, useless #1, 2, and 3 are needed to get through this chapter. I could do some theory crafting and some math to see what I would need for Eirika to properly solo this chapter, but that's a lot of work. I might do it on a later date, but right now, that's what it is.

image.png.f6390a0ab73f16d30f13325b04a27fd0.png

Franz and Gilliam block the fighter on the left. Eirika takes Franz's sword and equips it. I didn't need to do that, but I like to save some Rapier uses if I can. She also heals with a vulnerary.

image.png.c4fc3b669e0d289f55472464b3745d47.png

On enemy phase, this happens. I'm at peace with that.

image.png.d389a7e8c4665ebf6da87813bd303860.png

But not with that.

Reset: 2

It looks like as if this LP will turn into a massacre.

Chapter 1 is not hard to solo, if she is on a fort.

If Eirika got defense in her first level, she would take two hits.

Lute-Emblem ftw!

Reminds me I should do my females-run of FE10, but I have been lazy chimp lately.

Use the wiki.org and not the wikia!!!

https://fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/Eirika

why? 'cuz everytime you click on the wikia link you're promoting it's scummy business practices. And also the wiki has less misinformation (to make that clearer there is the wiki and the wikia, I'm referring to the wiki and not the fandom one)

Putting Eirika on the fort is the boring option, I wanted to do it another way but since like... chapter 1 decided to hate me, I'm doing that. Also Lute is going to be the warp-staff sage we all needed when we were 12.

Anyways, I'm not going to show the Prologue again because it's not a problem, but I had to restart with a new emulator so the pictures will be different. Also, I just realized I can take fat girl angle pictures and I'm proud.

Yes, it's being small again and ugly. Too bad that Eirika made it worse with a shitty level up.

5ca00082e50a8_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_02.png.cd4a02d9434cf8fc396a93f7a0bf00f9.png

This is turn 2. Eirika sits on the fort and Seth hides in a corner because he's a coward. Bitch.

5ca0010d19b62_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_03.png.880b33ebc92ffc35189359ea1856f98e.png

She kills the two fighter and scores a point in strength and speed. Res is fun, but we have other people for that.

5ca00126bd01c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_04.png.f4397353d8014dd7a28678913730c929.png

Interestingly enough, the soldier at the top of the map won't attack on his first turn. That's fun trivia. I'm being funny. Anyways.

5ca0017ce3e21_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_05.png.8f952329efc213eb768acde56a1681b2.png

Missed a level up because of speed-up button. I shouldn't untoggle it but I have no patience. Anyways, another point in strength and speed, and one in hp.

5ca001d9906a1_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun).png.cfe8fa5a5c204e544b55e68b77db7084.png

Seth heads up to let the enemy wave on the right to suicide on Eirika. I could honestly have ended the chapter on turn 3 but it's RNG manipulation and I'm not allowed to do that anymore.

5ca0023dd07cc_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_06.png.1d2bee1737bf276b9f5cefb9b5e519be.png

Why is this Eirika good all of sudden? Does this mean I'll lose all of them? Anyways, getting closer of the 10 strength goals for route split. Watch Eirika not get anymore strength for the rest of the game lol.

5ca00284a22d5_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_07.png.3add02ee9be4e0860d6b3ed14f43391f.png

Eirika heads toward the boss but she needs to hide in the forest to handle the soldier guys. They are fucking dicks.

5ca002c3615e2_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_08.png.82ce4c1b15069ce131ea920fc24e90df.png

Eirika, with her gains, can double and one round Breguet. Thing is, she needs to heal so the chapter is ending next turn.

5ca002fa013f8_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_09.png.4a55336bf8bb70047d286ee5608bd37b.png5ca0033339535_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_10.png.fac48b2365192729c4df442ce9744082.png

Chapter 1 is not a problem if you go the boring way. Honestly, the difficulty does spike from Prologue to Chapter 1, but it isn't noticeable if you decide to turtle it out. She's already fast enough to handle most bosses now, and her defensive growths have put in some work. Eirika has the tendency to max out speed and skill, which is fun, but she sometime lacks the strength to be an effective character in the late game. Worst come to worst, she gets the might drops.

5ca0038986053_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_11.png.df4e31e27a97a8f70468177fa7fd4749.png5ca003cfac436_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_12.png.2dd20eb746b9442e27d4e3bb994f76a2.png5ca0040f29d6c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_13.png.45d86a131df3476103e0f42b695bf3c4.png

So the red guys die because Eirika murders them all, but Gilliam is like "I killed one of them so I have to go talk to Tana" and Eirika is like...... okay bitch. Tana passes out because she's like too anxious or something and the crews leave the castle so that Tana can go to rehab so she can be back for chapter 9. They carry Tana on like a strecher or something. I don't know, I think if they had cars they would be like.... not be fighting with swords? I mean Final Fantasy exists but ya know, you can just ram Breguet with a car if you had one. Then her dad is like.... is this bitch dead? And Eirika is like not Gilliam is just gross. So he's like that's interesting here's 2k because I'm just that nice, and Eirika and her useless crew heads toward chapter 2.

image.png.d17c6b875f917508a3384837505a014c.png

We get our first recruitable female unit. Let's take a look at her.

5ca004737876c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_14.png.9a2a0a69b8f2408a8d82f0706b30650e.png

It's Vanessa. I thought she was a guy as a kid. Anyways, she's the starter pegasus knight so she's fast and has resistance. That's about it. Here's her growths:

image.png.2eba743246a407f985dbbeefbf3ac77f.png

Hp, skill, speed, luck are above slash average. Her strength kinda sucks, and her defense sucks. She can turn out great, but can also turn out terrible. She also gets a bunch of AS lost from her javelin.

image.png.21c265a0527a0b17ceb5a9abe94f3772.png

That's so tragic.

Anyways, next time it's chapter 2 time. Or something, maybe I'll be frisky and do chapter 3. I kinda ate edibles so I'm not 100% there but you know I'm trying my best.

I forgot to screenshot it but the chapter is named The Protected. I never figured who was protected. Who are they? What's their goal in life? Are they getting a degree online? I don't know Fe8, you need to explain it. Anyways, we got Vanessa so we have two gals now.

Shit I don't care about counter: 2. I'll try to save Ross and Garcia because they come with free things but if they die, so be it. The village holds a pure water also known as useless in this game.

Red Gem means free money. So we take it. Honestly, I don't remember if this game has money issues. It might have some issues, but there's also a free grinding spot so lol? I don't know.

His dad steals some exp but I'm okay with that. I think. I'm not sure quite yet. We'll see in chapter 4.

Vanessa ferries useless notmeatshield #2 so that we can recruit him and he doesn't kill himself on someone. I also want his hatchet to sell.

5ca13cb5340d3_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_10.png.b6017793f9359413141320895f334df5.png5ca13d0d33018_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_11.png.12212a4e88795169b77297dab7636dc9.png

We get brigand reinforcement, so we don't care about them for now. However, Ross decides to attack one of the bandits, and I don't like that. Stop being suicidal useless meatshield #2. Anyways, Eirika forces to shut and go hide in a corner.

5ca13d126f987_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_12.png.d586275f89ec1eca0f811c7f3b2a2ccc.png

Vanessa is, as you can expect, kinda useless against brigands on mountains, or just axe users in general. She'll get swords on promotion, but even there, she might get replaced by Tana because she's more competent. She's looting duty.

5ca13d5a8c8e0_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_13.png.8cd823f7d3be5c9161a11cfbcb715139.png5ca13d5c32a07_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_14.png.f4d821c2a8ae1ba76ff43f912441818a.png

Since Eirika is our mymirdon lord from Hell, she can just kill the brigand with ease. However, I don't want to take her off the fort because she's going to get eaten up. Also, more vulnerary. I didn't remember getting that many.

For someone who says she doesn't care about a lot of thing, I sure do care about a lot of things.  I get the pure water and move Vanessa back into her little hiding spot.

Garcia finally kills the archer on turn 5. I think he might attract the attention of the boss. I don't want that. He's my experience. Also Eirika hits a 22% which is like..... 14% true hit? That's rough. Anyways, I have like 4 vulnerary, might as well use them.

5ca13e3458a7d_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_19.png.1479c898bb23f1e9281bfb011109d9fb.png5ca13e36637f2_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_20.png.05c376bdc3f5c0d3528ef800dca00838.png

Eirika is..... surprisingly good. I won't whine about that. Also level c in swords means killing from Joshua. Give it to me, fugly.

Unfortunately, I forgot to move Ross out of range. Oops. Too bad. I get his stuff sent to my convoy. I don't think his dad joins. Too bad x2.

I wanted to keep at least two brigands alive to give one level to Vanessa. She really needs them for a Special Mission From Hell. Anyways. It's not perfect, but she's going to need speed and hp where she is going.

5ca13f2f80440_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_25.png.819cccd35f6c66feec8cd3f26c3fb52d.png

We win the chapter and Eirika the femcel realizes she has gone mute from all of her screaming at brigands to leave her alone. She's like.... shit I need to go to the hospital. So she goes there and realizes that she's actually getting robbed because the prices are too high so she goes to see the CEO and decides to stab him at his bandit hideout.

Did you know if Ross dies Garcia doesn't join? lol.

Not entirely, it can help for like the shaman boss in chapter 7 or for Colm to steal that energy ring but since it's female only well that's ut of the question.

Will you be using Neimi? If so which path are you promoting her to?

Oh boy, Chapter 3 time. I remember struggling with Chapter 3 real badly.

Also, Paladin Amelia or armoured? I went with Great Knight almost entirely so I could have someone to use axes. I don't remember if she got enough axe EXP to use Garm.

That much strength is good.

And Eirika can level up a lot in this, I've tested it before and she can get to level 20 in plenty of time.

I don't remember items dropping off from dead people into the convoy in SS.

Can you confirm it's there?

Yep, Neimi will be used. Probably will go down the Ranger path simply because of mobility, but sniper if she gets lucky with her growths. Also, I'll probably still steal that energy ring anyways because I'm a cheater.

The pure water isn't needed if Eirika or/and Vanessa get enough resistance and speed. They can easily dodgetank the shaman in chapter 6 and probably tank a hit or two from experience. Shamans aren't scary in this game.

Same answer as Neimi, I'll opt for mobility unless she gets lucky with her strength growth. Either Paladin or Great Knight, but if she's more defensive I'll go knight's route and decide on GK or General. I've found that Amelia and axes don't mix well, I could probably feed her some speedwings and body ring to help her out.

Here's Neimi. She's our archer and she cries all the time. She's going to see some use simply because she's a chick, but also we kinda need someone with range until we get Lute. Depending on her gains, she might actually end up useless lol. If she's not good, she'll stick to mobility bot for rescue chains and shit. If she's actually good, bust out the sniper.

Her growths. It's not bad. Thing is, she's the worse class in the game mixed with being outshined by another sniper you get already promote. In a normal playthrough, you can use Neimi and she can turn out well, but then again, you can get another bow user later or promote your Ross to Warrior. Neimi's biggest weakness is her defense growth, but she shouldn't get into fair fights anytime soon. Worse case scenario, she becomes a dodge tank and calls it a day.

Eirika is already level 8. She's also on the way to max speed. It's honestly kinda funny when you realize that you can feed Eirika enough kills to get her to level twenty really quickly when you don't use Franz and crew. Also, I'm listening to that:

I love SOPHIE. Moving on,

5ca4e0f2e0c16_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_15.png.3703df4a7a835d20023398435d3491dc.png

Colm is the first of two thieves you get in Sacred Stones. I won't link his stats but basically fast and skill. Yeah, he's not that good but he can end up a great unit with Neimi support, but why would you do that Neimi? Gross. He's going to use his lockpick on chests because IS is a coward and didn't give us a female thief in Sacred Stones. I'll try my best to use keys but I honestly don't care that much about using a male unit for utility if he doesn't get into combat. Also, if he dies, he stays dead. So, lol.

5ca4e16a8b8ab_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_16.png.ba40a8d5c6eafd873aa71be0b005b284.png

This chapter is an easy one. You don't really need to do anything, the enemies basically stay where they are due to the map's natural obstacles that we break. THis is like the first chapter where Eirika isn't going to get all the experience since Neimi, and Vanessa but not as good, can get some levels in.

5ca4e1b3a4625_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_17.png.55af23fce23865c3e3954b9cc3609961.png

Neimi recruits Colm and he's like "you're just an oaf that slows me down." Dude, eat a dick.

5ca4e1cb8165f_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_18.png.354fd157203c94ce0d3b540c633f71fe.png5ca4e1f4d48f9_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_19.png.4c43c656cce691ce4a2cdf95c681c13e.png

Eirika finishes off the brigand on player turn because I'm speedrunning this chapter I guess. The door key is going to be used to get the bottom chest.

5ca4e208efb7c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_20.png.ea90a618609660ba26004285ec5870aa.png

Just like that. That chest holds a Javelin. I want it.

5ca4e21ae8e63_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_21.png.51aef85ee679e2921ed0f9cddc25cec8.png5ca4e22271486_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_22.png.9423ba9c8bb15bd45915286c65cfcae9.png

Vanessa heads up to take an axe to the face for experience. She doubles brigands with the Slim Lance without killing them. I kinda want to get as much experience as I can on Neimi.

5ca4e24f06af8_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_23.png.649c4eca14ec46bf81a5a4bcd6441cc3.png

Vuneraries are useful, but it's not much of a surprise since we don't have a real healer just yet. Natasha is honestly going to work her ass off until Lute promotes.

5ca4e27a3fbb8_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_24.png.1327b47ac87556bfa647157b8c40d547.png5ca4e2800efe2_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_25.png.9538140c45eda4a6e0435b3e1042ed70.png

I got all the chests. I think it's like Iron Lance, Hand Axe, and the Iron Sword. It's not much, but I'll take it simply because I like having stuff on me.

5ca4e2b1a0eb0_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_26.png.ad6e1ab1e661a8f5bd425a6c89473197.png

Here's the boring part of the map: we throw shit over the wall and hope we don't get hit. I don't think you need a lot of commentary to understand why it would take time. Neimi didn't get enough speed or strength to double the people on the other side.

5ca4e2f4c6203_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_28.png.5b3f6a8ee3c25dbea8c20b2b62ac8993.png

When Neimi recovers from the hand axe, Vanessa is the one tanking the Javelin. This could have ended up biting me in the ass if Vanessa critted the brigand, but she didn't so I win.

5ca4e322c7e5e_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_29.png.9b4b8f3218177232419bc5b40e484630.png5ca4e34639b6b_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_30.png.232f014c18f9fb78aaac10a45ec9afb8.png

Neimi got the chest key from trading and I get the Javelin. She 3-rounds the thief, which is better than expected.

5ca4e3637f793_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_31.png.2c21c8baa60c938ac49acec609a51d87.png

This is an okay level. Strength is always welcome along with skill simply because of the crit change. However, she'll need some resistance and speed to become a reliable mage killer. Dodge tanking with her luck is good, but not always enough, especially in hardmode.

5ca4e3935efdc_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_32.png.2d5116347900aa8700882fd8c86000f2.png

Neimi continues killing people. She does that very well. Also big brain move: Vanessa changed places with Eirika to avoid getting sniped. No dying allowed.

5ca4e3c419cca_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_33.png.f2719f49b1615aeb404c630ff37b7c94.png

Not the same brigand, it's the one that was hidden behind the damage calculator. You can see his feet hanging out below the hand axe.

5ca4e3ec86db6_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_34.png.f2864b700e3c5e3e94cfec20f669b1b1.png

You know. If she's going to get a level where she gets speed and resistance and another she gets strength and skill every time, I'd be okay with it. She's just multitasking.

5ca4e415144f8_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_35.png.0c5733f22ba3576de0361683d4578184.png

I wanted to comment she has long hair archer sprite despite not having long hair on her overworld sprite. Same thing happens with Lute with her sage sprite.

5ca4e44408aa9_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_36.png.aef3454de82fc080695b9c2a993d75e0.png5ca4e44bbd178_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_37.png.3ea574c1658a827badc9354da06c037e.png

After Neimi's tedious but kinda worth it clearing of the barrel room, we storm in. Eirika gets whacked by the mercenary, but he's not a threat. He does have an antoxin we could steal, but honestly I don't care. Eirika gained strength from this level up, getting closer to the 10 strength before Big Boss Time goal. I won't sneeze on HP and Skill, but I prefer killing stuff.

5ca4e4ae32375_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_38.png.d7ede94aee8dd7cc075e2950749cc0de.png5ca4e4b0eb9c5_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_39.png.dbb4715b2367aebfc5df4806823147e5.png

I don't heal Eirika simply because I don't want to use my vulneraries when it's not needed. We'll need them next chapter. Bazba isn't scary in any ways other than he has a steel axe and a hand axe. You have to wtach out for the latter if you want to like snipe him or something.

5ca4e503888e9_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_40.png.653811f7382885e367378fb83f51c620.png5ca4e508d2053_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_41.png.2eb57895f50bd1f1ae3eefdf4894e283.png

I tried giving the kill to Neimi and Vanessa, but they didn't hit their 58 and 24 respective hit chance. Meh. Next chapter is going to be better for them anyways.

5ca4e52d3e4b9_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_42.png.c68fad026929b59ab90d2d3904932d31.png

And that's that! I'll give more thoughts about chapter 3, but the tl;dr is that it's not hard but tedious.

5ca4e54538642_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_43.png.20755b61abaeb6ac559906d772022237.png5ca4e54701856_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_44.png.9aa375e06190034a99e636f973937222.png

So that's the plot. Selena is like............... not bitch I gave her a gem and she sold it, she's so disrespectful so she's really mad. Too bad, you gave your shit to a greedy ho (me) and I like money so choke. Also honestly, the whole bracelet thing plot line is honestly kinda dumb. Like, personally, I wouldn't put the sacred stones in a bracelet..... like..... put it somewhere safer? A bracelet? Really, you can do better. Idk, you could like eat it or something. Whatever, we got our shit back.

5ca4e5ae0922f_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_45.png.5366f73c7ff864d167dce55b20e31f1a.png

I blame the fastforward for the 1 hour of playtime.

Anyways, Chapter 3 isn't hard if you turtle. Which can be said for all the maps of this game. However, the lack of reinforcement from behind and the fact you get two ranged units before the chapter really helps with clearing out the rooms one by one without being in any real danger. The one issue I've had missing shots, but I was kinda expecting it because Vanessa's weapon triangle disadvantage and Neimi's lackluster stats. Next chapter is kinda a step up, but I'll totally min-max it.

Dead characters didn't have their items automatically placed in the convoy until Shadow Dragon, if that's what you were thinking of.

Anyway... personally, I must ask why you're considering Sniper for Neimi if she get lucky with her strength growths - I'd just make her a Ranger regardless because Sniper sucks gigantic portions of ass; you get nothing of note to make up for being locked to bows. Ditto for Amelia and non-Paladin classes - Great Knight and General are just bad.

a) novelty and b) the sniper sprite is cute. it's not a good class, but if i get a really good neimi, she can carry as a sniper just as effectively as a ranger. ranger also has the issue that the desert chapter will suck, but then again it's not much of an issue since i can take as much time as i want. also im evil and i love making non-optimal choices.

anyways chapter 4

5ca78e6aee39e_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_02.png.e423aa63f43da240b56ab04ee4585787.png5ca78e706a244_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_03.png.0a115916f459453d5380c1128a6f895d.png5ca78ed0051f5_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_04.png.d63595edee6110b19b34855f4e4ab53e.png

This is the first monster chapter. I feel the monsters are pretty underwhelming enemies simply because of how weak they are. The only places they are actually scary are the ruins and the towers, but by that point you already have a solid team to clear them. I might do some postgame and try to clear the optional dungeons. I don't have any bad plot for this chapter because I'm already getting crushed to death by essays. Did you know that robotization is a moral dillema? A lot of experts think by 2025, the majority of the workforce will be replaced by robots, and that's making some people really happy and some people really mad. Anyways, chapter 4.

5ca78f41e8600_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_05.png.b764bf5d9714a85d998595058558ecf3.png5ca78f46c4444_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_06.png.4bb1e7cd87f9ae849b05aeb3be6e4d40.png

I also don't like the actual plot of the chapter. Why arent there like Grado troups searching for the missing princess and crew? Like, idk, if I were some big person in Grado, I'd be like.......... get some people to watched out the border lol. It does happen in Serafew, but ya know, you would expect more from Satan and his demon crew.

Lute and Arthur join us this chapter. Arthur is not going to be used, but he might get whacked over the head a couple of times and die. It's okay because this time I'll take his shit and put in my supply. However, Lute is going to be really useful here.

5ca78fcd1e3bc_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_08.png.00b2857fbd0eec67aa29162486134fb4.png5ca78fcf1905c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_09.png.2cc9ed5bde918371fe6c9442ecb37e13.png

This is the first map we get access to the unit preparation screen. We can officially get rid of all the dead weights. Yay. Arthur is forced deployed so he gets on the "forced deployed unit" clause. Let's avoid feeding him experience though.

Thank you for your service Arthur, now perish. Or don't.

The map is not very original, but it's totally a-ok. There's not much to talk about other than the fact we will backdoor the zombies by breaking down the tree and walking over it. Arthur is probably going to be a meatshield, but I'll try not to repeat the Ross mistake.

Lute and an Iron Axe are respectively sitting in those villages. I want both.

I do enjoy the game being like "hey, the girl you saw earlier? go get her". Thank you game, I knew 8 year old me could trust you.

5ca792587a534_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_16.png.1c7bff50cf32c342674adc41d518b893.png5ca7925a65253_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_17.png.54aaa43cc0a2cbdb8c136a8e60321d27.png

Right off the bat, I have to admit two things: this chapter is piss easy and that the only scary part is the first three turns. The only threat is Eirika being hit too many time, which shouldn't happen because she's already a dodge tank, but you know Fire Emblem RNG. Past the first two waves of enemies, the chapter is kinda over and we can pick off the rest of the enemies with our new recruit, Lute.

5ca792b3db7e5_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_18.png.9c096d535491a18cdf87beb6cb617c7b.png

Not a good level up, but she's getting the two stats she needs to dodgetank effectively.

5ca792ce7d95c_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_19.png.34939c7ada768a1da3109dbcd963d831.png5ca792d0ab970_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_20.png.96e5c78562ffa150c38bf5f94fe71fda.png

I'm not quite sure the Iron Axe will be used. It totally depends on my mood with Amelia, and honestly, I'm leaning Paladin. Great Knight is fun but it's kinda meh.

5ca792fb26748_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_21.png.7edf692326bbd2f6457a63d23b9a27f9.png5ca792fe10fd5_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_22.png.79eefcd55b91d10c0e2125019cbb4a3f.png

Enemy phase starts, and the first dangerous wave starts. This is the place where I'm most likely to restart simply because I can get screwed over by getting hit by everything. This is also an okay level for Vanessa, but she's going to need some hp.

5ca79334705d3_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_23.png.c60510d2b4d5902eb918f109c06e068d.png5ca793740c601_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_25.png.4e090d18dfdff6a747b083edd0519049.png5ca79390c6a46_2215-FireEmblem-TheSacredStones(E)(RisingSun)_26.png.f3233c9094ea7f1c1e5e0edc7de85407.png

Neimi was supposed to get attacked there, by the way. I just need to spread the damage over the three girls (and Arthur) so that they can survive long enough to bring down the snag. I expected better from Vanessa though.

The postgame areas use teams of eight, so you'll have to make meaningful drops.

The final boss is the only other map you have to bench someone. I forget who I benched, probably Tethys.

Nah, I'll need her. It's either Syrenne, Marisa or Amelia. Depends on stuff and my mood. Anyways, real update because I (Ike) figured out the problem.

Spoiler

Anyways, now for the continuation of chapter 4.

0VAYtOd.pngFUUB5ES.png

Alright, this also happens. I'm going to use her by the way. The snag finally dies and we can start the next step of the chapter: getting Lute.

RPrsUEW.png

We are also what we can call a Pickle. I had to use a vulnerary on all of my units simply because they won't survive if the RNG goes against me. Just some food for thoughts, thank god everyone comes with a vulnerary in this game. But Gilliam, but you know, Franz has two.

FBnSfbZ.pngvB0Ya7O.png

Well, at least you didn't die.

RkTP5uJ.pngF9FmUrM.png

You, however.

w0CuABt.png

Arthur is being worthless and goes down and does nothing for the rest of the chapter. Good night Arthur.

7PL6Cuz.png

The close calls don't end until I killed everyone. The part where I was most likely to reset is now done and over with.

3gGQLKu.pngbCUniWh.png8ki9bRy.png

Thank fucking god we finally have her. I love Lute so much. It's hard for her to turn out badly. Simply because her growths are really good, and she has 20 levels before promotion. Her are Eh, but it's good enough for this chapter simply because she doubles the boss.

58sn73b.png

Neimi finally realizes she's a dodgetank, like every other female unit in this game.

3IxstJ6.png

With this level up, Eirika reached the goal of getting the 10 Str she needs to be the Official Boss Murderer. She also started to take less experience, so I have to hand it around.

xbLwXyn.pngKZtI6J9.png77oc6gw.png

The following EPs and PPs (is that a term? lol) are mainly just the girls killing stuff, that's the montage.

iIys8ad.pngVmYJHAl.png

Close call, but that basically the level I want to see. If Lute becomes a nuke that no-one can touch, I'm okay with that.

gaUDixB.png0JiPO5i.pngHNXwxRi.png

Yeah, this chapter is really just the crew being unable to one round the enemies but without dying.

cnNzpoA.png

Also Eirika gets that level. I'm at peace with that.

1XeO6nM.pnglGJZbOw.pngtj4VhNL.png

This chapter is officially "let's grind Lute the fuck out", get used to it because it's going to happen quite a bit.

eGyxxtm.pngtFkugpl.png

She's just killing stuff, and getting halfway better at killing things.

sXHYyp4.pngjdB2L7J.pngOWRDk8b.png

Yeah. This is kinda getting boring.

2PO7Kqj.pnggxeHr1x.png

Despite the game mode being on hard, the stats of the untombed (?) are still bad enough for Lute to double him. He also gives out like 90 experience since he's a promote enemy and Lute was level 3.

bRo3pxi.png

Chapter 4 is done with. The only main issue I had was the first three turns, after that it becomes, like for chapter 3, a question of picking off enemies one by one. Chapter 4 is rather easy, you just need to hope your units don't decide to get hit by everything.

Syrene boosts Tana's damage output significantly versus the bosses, thank you Triangle Attack. I feel like I kept Marisa and Amelia to have someone with Audhulma and Garm- though Marisa competes with the Falcos and Amelia if you want Audhulma bad enough.

Speaking in relative terms, FE8 has one of the nicest desert chapters in all of FE.

fe8map15.png

Only the spaces that wavy are counted as Desert and slow you down. It mostly serves to keep Ephraim and Eirika apart, Caellach has only a little around him- a minor nuisance, and you've little reason to approach Valter from the northeast.

Not actually trying to persuade you on a promotion path, only that is relatively not a bad desert chapter. No turn/EXP requirement for a side chapter, no fog of war, no moving bosses, no enemies you get BEXP for sparing, is far from being 100% slowing desert.

Could you hack L'Arachel onto a Pegasus first? She would be so much better if she could fly over those cliffs and join now.

My personal preference for Amelia is Paladin. It seems the most suited for her as a character, and works with her Franz support. Great Knight is suitable given Duessel too, and Recruit 3 is exclusive to her. General I've always found the least aligned with her, there is just no backing for it.

I fail to see it when a good deal of the map isn't even desert. About the only areas that are heavy on desert terrain are the east side (there's no real reason to approach Valter from the north) and the area with the fort south of the vendor.
