Graduating High School and Life's Milestones

Normally I try to stay as ambiguous as possible about my age or other sensitive personal information about myself, but I'm alowing myself to break the rules just this once for a rather special occasion. Yesterday I had my graduation ceremony and officially recived my diploma. It's a large milestone in life that I'm proud to have reached, especially since I graduated with honors which I never thought would happen when I started high school. But now that it's over it's a really weird feeling reflecting on it. Definitely the biggest change in my life since moving to Minnesota. Knowing that I'm going off to college to college in 3 months is just crazy to think about.wแทงบอลออนไลน์UFABET

But all that sappy stuff aside I also just wanted to let the everybody here on the Forest Forums know about it because you all are a great online community I love being apart of that I want to celebrate this achievement with. If anyone else wants to share a milestone they have reached recently, feel free to do so here as well.

Congratulations friend, I also received my diploma two years ago. It was quite the experience! Hopefully you do well in college!

That's smart to do, but I feel that once you reach adulthood it isn't so important to keep your age hidden.  While real name, address, and all of that being revealed could put you in danger in a number of ways, withdrawing your age is only important if you're a minor because of predators and other such people who try to take advantage of young people.

Anyway...

Graduating with honors is indeed a good achievement, especially given how stressful school can be both within the academia and beyond.  I made the honor roll when I graduated from high school.

This won't be the end of your challenges, but it is a nice hurdle to leap over and be done with.  Adult life comes with its own challenges and stresses, and I hope you'll be able to break through it all and be successful in whatever you pursue.

Gosh, I graduated ten years ago now come a few weeks. Yet I've not seen any plans anywhere for a reunion at the school I graduated from. And I've checked Facebook and Twitter and stuff. I'm not much of a people person, but I would've liked to go so I had an excuse to fly/travel somewhere. lol (I graduated in Georgia, not Pennsylvania where I live now.) I haven't had a real vacation in a long time. I might try to plan a reunion myself, but I don't at all remember many of my fellow 2009 class members and I wouldn't know the first thing about organizing a big event like this... Class of 2009 must be party poopers or something! :P

Congrats though, graduation is such a cool milestone!

There's one organized for mine and I'm 2009 as well, but I'm on the fence about going.

Congratulations on graduating high school!! It's an accomplishment to be proud of and you have a bigger accomplishment ahead of you after graduating college!

I myself am graduating from university in June and it's always rewarding to take a well deserved break after every milestone and success.

Wow. :P Yeah, I'm an older member on this site, though not the oldest (since folks like Rezzy exist. She's a few years older than me).
