ITT I Play Pokemon Platinum

Before you start complaining: Yes, I haven't touched my HG run for about 4 months now, but I'm in a pickle here, and I want to test some stuff out. So, here it is, my Pokemon Platinum Playthrough.

DA RULEZ

-Firstly, I will not be save scumming until I get the right nature. I obviously do not like doing this(as I lose my patience rather quickly), but I will also not accept anything with crappy natures. Abilities are another story, though as that's 50/50.

-I don't really give two shits about IV's or EV's ingame, since IV's are random and EV's . I'll deal with that when I get to the Frontier.

-I will be taking notes of various TM's as they are obtained. Like Grandjackal, I generally like to hoard TM's and ultimately never use them. I will be taking note on things that can make use of them.

-While I have access to trading(I don't have Wi-Fi, but I have my Diamond and a functioning DS lite), I may only use it for the acqusition of trade evos. Stuff like getting Larvitar early is a big no-no.

-Grinding will be kept to a minimum at absolute worst.

Planned Team:

Piplup->Prinplup->Empoleon

Starly->Staravia->Staraptor

Gible->Gabite->Garchomp

Ralts->Kirlia->Gallade

Rotom

Try out Vaporeon, since I settled on Lefeon for my current one. Also got Munchlax going for me, currently waiting for the honey tree to activate.

Trying to decide my other three mons, since I went with Chimchar. After my last experience with Priplup and having nothing to deal with Gardenia, it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Let's Party.

Name: James

ID no: 64919

Rival name: Barry

Twinleaf Town:

After skipping on the intro crap and setting my configurations(and resetting for an odd number since Shieldon sucks ass), I try to leave my mother's attic, when my hyperactive friend Barry shows up and tells me to get my ass moving if you want to get a starter from Professor Rowan. Oh, and Johanna tells me to not go into the grass, and that's always nice. After leaving my house, I decide to pop by Barry's since he forgot about his bag and journal. Remind me how much I hate Barry/Jun/Pearl.

Route 201:

Upon leaving town, Barry decides to drag me into some tall grass, but we get stopped by Professor Rowan and Dawn. It is here that I choose my starter. I wish I could come up with a good joke right here, but without further stall, I choose you, Piplup! After Barry chooses his starter, Rowan leaves and we decide to duke it out.

Boss: Barry

Pokemon: Lv5 Starter

Difficulty: **

My Team:

Piplup Lv5

This is pretty easy. Spam Tackle/Pound/Scratch to win. Thankfully, Barry's a moron and uses Withdraw, giving me enough time to kill Turtwig.

Piplup Lv6: +2 HP, +1 everything else

After the battle, I get my Running Shoes and check the nature of my Piplup.

Piplup(M) Lv5

Quirky Nature

22HP/11Atk/12Def/12SpA/12SpD/10Spe

Moves: Pound, Growl

Acceptable. At least it's not Adamant or something stupid.

After getting my Shoes, Barry then tells me to head over to Lake Verity, where Mesprit is.

Lake Verity:

As we enter the lake, we see Cyrus monologing about how he wants absolute ungodly power, then Barry decides we should catch Mesprit... until he realizes he has no balls. Either that or his balls are inert. After that, I head back to Route 201.

Route 201:

I decide to train my Piplup here, since he's going to be needed early on. After taking down 2 Starlies, I level up.

Piplup Lv7: +2 HP, +1 everything else.

I stick around for a bit until I'm lv8, killing more Starlies and Bidoofs.

Piplup Lv8: +2HP/SpA, +1 everything else. Bubble get!

Sandgem Town:

I run into Dawn, who takes me into Professor Rowan's lab, well, right after Barry darts out like some kid on meth. Rowan then asks me to nickname my Piplup(I chose the name Happy Feet, due to me being a fan of that movie.) Dawn then pulls something on me, and Rowan starts lecturing on how he wants to create an encyclopedia on how many Pokemon are in Sinnoh, and gives me a Pokedex. After I leave the lab, Rowan then hands me a TM27. Hm... Anyway, after Dawn gives me a lecture I don't give a shit about, I heal up my Pokemon and go north to Route 202, until Dawn tells me I have to tell Mummy.

Route 201:

lol. Ran back to Twinleaf like a little pussy. Killed a Starly for the lulz.

Twinleaf Town:

I headed back home, and talked to Johanna, who gave me a journal. Barry's mam then shows up and tells me to deliver a Parcel. I then leave. Off to Jubilife City.

Route 201:

Back on Route 201, I killed more Starlies. This is getting quite old. I passed through Sandgem and went north to Route 202, where Dawn was waiting.

Route 202:

Dawn stops me only to give me a tutorial about catching, SOMETHING I DON'T CARE ABOUT. I then wade into some grass and find a Starly. I weaken it with Bubble, then go for the kill(well, capture in this case)

Starly(M) Lv4

Hardy Nature

HP/Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe

Moves: Tackle, Growl

I decided to name my Starly Doku after my good friend Shin.

Anyway, after healing, it was time to train Doku. The first trainer teed off with a Lv5 Starly. Considering that Doku was only Lv4, I swapped for Happy, who obliterated Starly in 3 hits. Doku and Happy almost leveled up. Next trainer up was a Lass with a Lv5 Bidoof. Again, easy prey for Happy.

Starly Lv5: +2 HP, +1 atk/spd/spe, +0 def/spa. Quick Attack get!

Piplup Lv9: +3HP, +2 atk, +1 everything else.

After that, I killed a wild Starly, and got myself another level out of it.

Starly Lv6: +2 HP/spe, +1 everything else.

The second youngster packed a Lv5 Burmy, who was easy prey for Starly, as it can't do shit aside from Tackling me. Starly levels up again.

Starly Lv7: +2 HP/atk, +1 everything else

I then grabbed the potion just lying there, and headed for Jubilife.

Time: 0:52

Funds: $3740

NAME LVL MHP ATK DEF SPA SPD SPE MOVES
Piplup 09 29 15 15 16 15 13 Pound, Growl, Bubble

Jubilife City:

Ok, Dawn decides to drag me to a trainer's school, when suddenly the two of us run into a man named Looker, who tells me to watch out for thieves, and gives me a Vs. Recorder. I then enter the school, and give Barry the parcel, which contains a town map. I went to battle the two schoolkids, only to remember that my mons are seriously injured. After healing my Pokemon up, I go back to the trainer's school, and battle the first kid's Lv6 Starly. Took that little bastard out with 3 Quick attacks, and I leveled up.

Starly Lv8: +2 HP, +1 everything else

I then took care of the other trainer's Lv6 Bidoof with similar efficiency, though she uses a potion mid fight. At the end of it all, I received a Potion. After healing up my Mons, I then deal with the Poke Watch guy, who tells me to find 3 clowns with tickets that will get me a Poketch. I talked to the first two clowns, who ask extremely easy questions, and went outside to nab an old rod. Talked to the third clown, who gives me the third coupon. I go back to the Poketch guy and receive my Poketch. I then venture north.

Route 204:

I go out and battle the first lass. I then proceed to obliterate her Lv7 Shinx with a Quick Attack+Bubble combination.

Starly Lv9: +2 HP/spe, +1 atk/spa, +0 def/spd. Wing Attack get!

Next trainer has a Lv8 Magikarp, who is roflstomped by Happy. Because, well, it can't do shit. The second lass on the route threw out her Lv7 Budew, who was surprisingly easy for even Happy to deal with, though Doku killed it

Piplup Lv10: +2 HP/def/spd, +1 everything else.

After all that, I went to the Ravaged Path.

Ravaged Path:

Dead end. lolz. Back to Jubilife to heal and grab a Quick Claw from the NE house.

Route 203:

I start running on the beaten road, when suddenly I get ambushed by Barry. I'm telling you, he's obviously on speed.

Boss: Barry

Difficulty: **

Pokemon: Starly Lv7, Starter Lv9

Starly was pretty easy stuff. I had Happy spam Bubble while his Starly's QA was doing jack shit. Bubble once again proves how weak it really is. As for Turtwig, I send in Starly, who proceeds to 2HKO it with Wing Attack.

Starly Lv10: +2 HP/atk, +0 spa, +1 everything else

After the battle, I took out the next trainer's Kricketot and Zubat, who are promptly whopped.

Piplup Lv11: +2HP/spe, +1 everything else. Water Sport get!

I then grabbed the Pokeball from the ledge and dropped down. The third trainer throws in a Lv8 Shinx, who is predictably killed easily, however, the fourth guy tosses in a Lv8 Machop, who I send Doku to deal with(lolOHKO'd by Wing Attack). I also catch a Bidoof here for HM mule purposes.

Bidoof(F) Lv5

Careful Nature

21HP/10atk/9def/8spa/9spd/9spe

Moves: Tackle, Growl

Eh, not using much for combat.

Anyway, I take on a Lass with four Pokes(Bidoof/Starly/Budew/Abra, all Lv4), who all go down pretty handily to Happy.

Piplup Lv12: +2 HP/spa, +1 everything else

Starly Lv11: +2 Hp/spe, +1 everything else

The final trainer on this route has a Lv8 Psyduck, who is promptly murdered. I grab the X defend and Repel before entering the cave.

Oreburgh Gate:

Immediately as I walk in, I get ambushed by a hiker, who instead of battling, gives me a HM06, and tells me I need Roark's badge in order to use it out of battle. Anyway, I battle a camper with a Lv7 Starly and Shinx. I let Happy take out Starly and Doku kill Shinx.

Piplup Lv13: +2 HP, +1 everything else

The second trainer was a joke. Lv9 Bidoof. 2HKO'd by Wing Attack. Leveled up again.

Starly Lv12: +2 HP, +1 everything else

Oreburgh City:

A friendly youngster escorts me to the gym, only for me to see Barry there, who tells me that Roark is not there and is in the coal mine. After healing up, I check around town for some stuff. The first house I visited yielded me a dusk ball, whiloe the second house has a trainer who will trade her Abra for a Machop. Not having a Machop, I refuse. Also, a man who wants to see a Geodude. While the third house gave me absolute jack shit, a youngster in house four gave me a great ball and I was also given a super potion by a worker next to the mine entrance. There was also a dire hit and yellow shard outside.

Oreburgh Mine:

I grabbed the Poke Ball that was just lying around, then went downstairs, killing some rock mons as I went. Piplup leveled up here before I even got to a trainer.

Piplup Lv14: +2 HP/def, +1 everything else.

After I grabbed the escape rope, I battled the first worker, who was carrying a Lv6 Geodude and Lv8 Machop. After I knocked him around, I made it to Roark, who left for the gym after I talked to him. I then yanked a potion from the goddamn ground and battled a second worker, this time with a Lv9 Geodude. After beating his scrawny ass, I left the mine and healed.

Piplup Lv15: +2 HP/spd, +1 everything else. Peck get! Replaced Water Sport.

Oreburgh Gym:

Type: Rock

Recommended Types: Water, Grass, Fighting

Unrecommended Types: Normal, Fire, Flying

Advice: If you started with Piplup or Turtwig, as long as they are sufficiently leveled, you are pretty much set. For Chimchar users, MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU ARE LV14. Trust me when I say this. Also, you can catch a Psyduck in the Oreburgh Gate if you are having issues with Roark and do not want to raise your Chimchar to Lv14.

I led off with Happy, since Water packs a strong punch against Rock types. The first kid in the gym tees off with a Lv11 Geodude, who is murdered in 1 hit. As for the second youngster, he's carrying a Lv9 Geodude and Onix. After squirting them with weak-ass bubbles, Happy Feet levels up and evolves.

Piplup Lv16: +2 HP/atk/spa, +1 everything else. Metal Claw get! Replaced Growl.

Happy's New Stats:

47HP/27atk/29def/31spa/30spd/24spe

I then immediately battled Roark.

Boss: Roark

Difficulty: ****

Pokemon: Geodude Lv12, Onix Lv12, Cranidos Lv14

The reason for that 4/10 is because of Cranidos. Roark would be a complete joke otherwise.

I squared off with Prinplup, who proceeded to tear Geodude and Onix new assholes. As for Cranidos, he was considerably tougher. He was able to take about a third of Happy's HP with Headbutt while I did half using Bubble. Of course, Roark tried to stall out time by using a Potion, but I end up killing him on the third hit. I then recieve $1680 and my Coal Badge. And TM76, I guess.

Prinplup Lv17: +1 spe, +2 everything else.

I then go back to the Pokemon Center to heal, and save my progress.

Time: 2:12

Funds: $8712

NAME LVL MHP ATK DEF SPA SPD SPE MOVES
Prinplup 17 49 29 31 33 32 25 Pound, Peck, Metal Claw, Bubble

Swag: Coal Badge, Poketch, Vs. Recorder, X Attack, X Defend, Quick Claw, Potion, Super Potion, Repel, Poke Ball x2, Great Ball, Dusk Ball, Escape Rope, HM06, TM76

Death Count:

Happy Feet: 0

P.S: Tell me how you are liking my playthrough, because feedback is always recommended.

Oreburgh City:

I begin to leave town, but Barry stops me dead in my tracks, and gleefully reminds me that I need a bike before I can head over to Route 207. Anyway, I buy 4 Super Potions($2800 total), then leave.

No one really cares about what was going on on the way back to Jubilife.

Jubilife City:

Looker pops out of nowhere the instant I enter town, tells me there's no shady characters around, and leaves. I head over to the Poketch company and got a memo pad. As soon as that was done, I headed north, where I'm confronted by two Galactic grunts. Rowan gives 5 good reasons they should fuck off, but they don't listen, naturally. Therefore, I had to do battle. Anyway, these two bastards have a Lv11 Glameow and Stunky. Not too tough, since I was able to kill them in 2 hits with Wing Attack.

Also, Doku leveled up here.

Starly Lv13: +2 HP/atk, +0 def, +1 everything else. Double Team get! Replaced Growl.

After the fight, Rowan lectures over a bunch of crap I already know. I am then given a fashion case. After healing up, I head back to the Ravaged Cave.

Ravaged Cave:

I grab the potion just laying about, then smash the rocks with Rock Smash and claim a TM39.

Route 204:

I ran upstairs and fight an aroma girl, who has a Lv9 Budew and Lv11 Cherubi. Being Grass types, they both died in 1 hit. Shin levels up and evolves.

Starly Lv14: +2 HP/spe, +1 everything else

Doku's new stats:

42HP/29atk/21def/18spa/20spd/29spd

I grab the awakening just southeast of her, then go north and fight a bug kid, with a Lv10 Wurmple and Lv11 Kricketot. lol. The twins were similarly pathetic. Two Lv11 Pachirisu. They were basically toast in 3 turns.

Staravia Lv15: +2 HP/spe, +1 everything else

As soon as I grabbed the fairly useless TM09, I ventured into Floaroma Town.

Floaroma Town:

Standard business. Heal, then explore. The house just east of the Pokemon Center has absolutely nothing of value, but the second house gave me a TM88. As for the flower shoppe, I was given a chesto berry, as well as a Sprayduck. Cool. I can't venture northward due to two Galactic goons blocking the way. I decide to head east.

Route 205:

I first grab the two berry plants, then get stopped by a little loli, who is crying about her kidnapped father. I try to go north, but I get cockblocked by two Galactic goons. Anyway, I head to the Valley Windworks, and try to enter the building, but again, I get cockblocked by a grunt who has a Lv13 Glameow. Thankfully, I 2HKO with Wing Attack, but I get slept for 2 turns, which wasted some time, but it was no huge deal. Then the bastard locks me out. Back to Floaroma.

Floaroma Town:

I head back to that northwestern spot, where two grunts are talking about honey(presumably to make some Honey Nut Cheerios). They spot me and try to battle me. The first grunt has a Lv13 Stunky and the second guy has 2 Lv11 Zubats. While the Stunky took 2 WA's, the Zubats both died in 1.

Doku leveled up again.

Staravia Lv16: +2 HP/atk/spe, +1 everything else

I am then given the second Works key and some Honey.

I then head back to the Valley Windworks.

Valley Windworks:

As soon as I walked in, I am confronted by a lowly Galactic Grunt with a Lv13 Zubat, who dies in 2 hits. The second grunt comes packing with a Lv11 Glameow and Stunky.

Happy reaches Lv18 while Doku reaches Lv17.

Prinplup Lv18: +3 HP, +1 everything else

Staravia Lv17: +3 HP, +2 atk/spe, +1 everything else

Anyway, after healing my Pokemon, it was time to take on Commander Mars.

Boss: Commander Mars

Difficulty: ****

Pokemon: Zubat Lv15, Purugly Lv17

Led off with Prinplup against Zubat, who like 4HKO's with Bubble. I decide to use Metal Claw for more damage. I kill the Zubat, then face Purugly. I send in Staravia, who intimidates Purugly, and takes a Fake Out while I use an antidote on Prinplup(who was hit by Zubat's Toxic). I send in Prinplup so he can get some exp as well, and he took out Purugly with a few well-timed Metal Claw hits.

After beating her, she and the rest of Team Galactic desert, while I go back to heal my Pokemon. But not before Looker comes over to congratulate me for taking out Team Galactic.

Time: 3:13

Funds: $11472

Expenditures: $2800

Route 205:

I head up north, where soon after I cross the bridge, I run into a camper with a Lv14 Ponyta, who was killed rather quickly(Bubble still sucks, mind. Thankfully, I did get a crit)

Prinplup Lv19: +2 everything. Bubblebeam get! Replaced Bubble.

Running through the grass, I went for another hidden item and fought a hiker with 3 Geodude of increasing level, starting at Lv10. After the battle, I picked up the X Sp.Def and headed further north. I declined on fighting the aroma girl down east so I faced a camper instead, this time using a Lv14 Aipom. A Wing Attack+Quick Attack sealed the deal, really. As for the next trainer, he was a hiker with a Lv14 Onix, who was quadruple dead thanks to Bubblebeam.

Staravia Lv18: +2 HP/spe, +1 everything else. Endeavor get! Replaced Tackle.

Prinplup Lv20: +1 atk/spe, +2 everything else

After swapping back to Doku, I grabbed a repel from the grass and battled a battle chick with a Lv15 Machop, who was killed by 1 Wing Attack. As for the 'last' Picknicker on the route, her Lv14 Piplup was no match for Doku. As soon as the fight ended, I grabbed a super potion and a heal ball, then fought another camper girl, this time with a Lv12 Bidoof and Pachirisu, which Staravia was able to deal with very easily.

Staravia Lv19: +2 HP/atk/spe, +1 everything else

After battling the aroma girl(who only had a very uninteresting Lv14 Roselia), I headed back to the northern house and ventured into Eterna Forest.

Eterna Forest:

I meet up with a trainer named Cheryl, who will offer to go with you and keep your Pokemon in good shape(she has a lv20 Chansey). I grab the Antidote from the southwest and get into my first wild double battle. And I leveled up again.

Staravia Lv20: +3 HP, +1 spd, +2 everything else

I started my montage by battling a bug kid with a Lv11 Wurmple/Lv13 Silcoon/Lv15 Beautifly, and a lass with a Lv16 Pachirisu. I try to kill the Pachirisu, but I kept getting parahaxxed, and lost Chansey before killing Pachirisu. I got parahaxxed about 5 times before Silcoon bit it, and Beautifly was similarly easy.

Prinplup Lv21: +3 HP, +2 atk/spa, +1 everything else

After winning, I picked up a paralyze heal and took on two psychics, each with a Lv17 Abra. They were fairly easy, since they die in two hits to anything, really. I then picked up a net ball, and fought two bug kids, one with a Lv11 Wurmple/Lv13 Cascoon/Lv15 Dustox, and the other packing 2 Lv14 Burmies. I killed the Wurmple and Cascoon as soon as I could, so then I could deal with Dustox. The second Burmy died soon after.

Prinplup Lv21: +2 HP/def/spd, +1 everything else

Anyway, after all that, I went up, picked up a potion, and battle two more psychics, this time with a Psyduck and Meditite, both lv17. I critblick the Meditite, leveling up, while the Psyduck took a few extra turns, confusing me in the process, though it didn't pan out like that.

Prinplup Lv23: +3 HP, +1 atk/def, +2 everything else

I kept going north, picking up a green shard, and taking a peek at the Old Chateau. Cheryl then leaves me forever, leaving behind a Soothe Bell.

Route 205:

I battled the first and third fishermen, since they had some stuff that actually mattered(the first guy has a Lv17 Goldeen, and the third guy has two Lv14 Magikarp and a Lv16 Goldeen), which Happy killed for exp.

I then jumped into some grass and polished off Happy's level.

Prinplup Lv24: +1 spd/spe, +2 everything else. Did not learn Bide.

Eterna City:

After I did the normal healing crap, I popped by the house next door, and recieved a n exploration kit, and took on doing some tasks for him. Down in the underground, Roark gives me a tutorial on what to do in the underground catacombs. Well, I simply dug up some treasure. I was able to get some shards, some heart scales, as well as a skull fossil.

Ok, I was going due north when Barry decided to butt in and drag me over to see the statue of Palkia. However, Cyrus was standing nonchalantly at the statue, then Barry spews out more useless advice, and we part ways. of course, the statue had its plaque removed by Team Galactic. Ah well, I go back, only to get stopped by a strange woman with a love of children. She introduced herself as Cynthia and gives me an HM01.

The next house down has the name rater, as well as a TM67 and a kid who wants to get rid of his Chatot. If I was stuck with a Chatot, I'd want to get rid of it, too. Went to the Pokemart and bought $8400 worth of super potion, as well as some paralyz heal($800). I then entered the gym.

Eterna City Gym:

Type: Grass

Recommended Types: Fire, Flying

Unrecommended Types: Water, Ground, Rock

Advice: To all Chimchar users; you are doing great. Your Monferno should be able to tear this gym a new asshole. If you started with Turtwig, or like me, Piplup, I HIGHLY recommend getting something that can fly or can burn things. Oh, and keep your Geodude well sheltered, because Grass attacks utterly destroy him.

Placed Doku in the front since Happy Feet is about as useful here as Chikorita is against all of HGSS in general. The first trainer tees off with a Lv17 Cherubi and Roselia. Doku, of course, tears them apart with lolWing Attack. After the battle, the clock went from being at 5:35 to 6:15, so I went across the clock to battle the second trainer, who has 3 Budew, at Lv15/16/17. By the way, they all died, and I leveled up. They really need to come up with bird resistant plants.

Staravia Lv21: +2 HP/atk/spe, +1 everything else.

Anyway, the clock then turned about 3 hours ahead, allowing me to cross and battle trainer 3, who has a Lv19 Roselia. I kill it and level up.

Staravia Lv22: +2 HP, +1 everything else.

After that, the clock changed to 11:45, allowing me to get to Gardenia.

Boss: Gardenia

Difficulty: *******

Pokemon: Turtwing Lv20, Cherrim Lv20, Roserade Lv22

The reason she's a 7 on the difficulty scale is because Roserade is VERY strong for this point in the game. STAB Magic Leaf coming off 125 SpA just plain hurts, even if resisted.

I still lead off with Doku, who hits Turtwing with a Wing Attack, which does almost enough for a clean OHKO, only for Turtwing to use Reflect. I QA as she uses a super potion. I take 2 more Wing Attacks as she gets sun up on top of all that. I decide to waste Reflect turns by using QA, followed by another WA. After Turtwing bites it, I'm left to deal with Cherrim, who thankfully isn't that hard to deal with. Magic Leaf crits me, but I Super Potion and hit her with a second WA. Then Roserade came out. I hit it with a Wing Attack for 3/4 of her HP as she sues Stun Spore on me. I get parahaxxed while she bombards me with Magic Leaf hits, but thankfully, I don't get FP'd the second time, and I level up after killing Roserade.

Staravia Lv23: +2 HP/atk/spe, +1 everything else. Whirlwind get! Replaced Endeavor.

Got $2640, a Forest Badge and TM86.

Then, the clock went hack to 11:30, allowing me to get back to the Center.

Time: 4:56

Funds: $12848

Expenditures: $12000

NAME LVL MHP ATK DEF SPA SPD SPE MOVES

Eterna City:

After a long night's rest, I teach Cut to Bidoof and enter the Galactic Building, but not before nabbing a TM46.

Galactic Hideout:

I get ambushed by a Galactic Grunt, who turns out to be Looker. I first go ahead and dispatch of the two grunts that are standing NE of the reception(both grunts have a Lv16/17 Zubat, the male has a Lv17 Stunky and the female has a Lv18 Glameow.) However, when I go up the stairs, a grunt is there to deal with me... with a lv19 Croagunk. Wing Attack. Next. I did take the time to grab an X speed though.

The first trainer on the second floor has a Lv19 Glameow, which should prove how incompetent the grunts are. And what is this? Level up!

Staravia Lv24: +3 HP, +2 atk/spe, +1 everything else

I go up to another dead end, where a female grunt ambushes me... with more Stunky. A Lv16 one to be exact. As well as a Croagunk and a Glameow of the same level. 3 Bubblebeams was all it tooki to end the fight and let me claim my X Special. Back on the real 3rd floor, I take on a scientist with a Lv20 Kadabra, thankfully the scientist is a moron and uses an X Special and does less than half to me. I easily kill it with 2 Bubblebeams.

Prinplup Lv25: +2 everything

I went upstairs, grabbed a Revive and Blue Shard, and went back to heal up. After I did, I faced Jupiter.

Boss: Commander Jupiter

Difficulty: *****

Pokemon: Zubat Lv21, Skuntank Lv23

Led off with Doku, who resists Giga Drain, and gives fuck all about everything else. I send in Happy as she presumably uses a super potion, but attacks instead. Easy peasy Japanesesy. As for Skuntank, I used the double Intimidate strategy on her, by first saccing Bidoof. I did half to it with 3 round sof Wing Attack(after factoring in the Sitrus Berry). I then take it out with 2 Bubblebeams.

I grab the Up-grade, then leave this place forever.

Eterna City:

Anyway, I decide on going to the Old Chateau, only to remember that it's daytime, and I need it to be night. So I popped by the bike shoppe to get my bike, but Cynthia decides to give me an egg. I then pick up a bicycle. I then head due south.

Route 206:

Well, I first pick up an Exp share before I leave for the bike path, then decide to skip most of the trainers for Gible's training session later on. Well, of course, I run into a trainer with a Lv21 Pikachu, but thankfully, it's of little consequence. 2 Quick Attacks and it's dead. As for triner number 2, she also has a Lv21 Pika.

Starvavia Lv25: +3 spe, +1 def/spa, +2 everything else

Oreburgh City:

Healed up, and bought 20 Pokeballs($4000)

Route 206/Wayward Cave:

I first cut down the shrubbery, then picked up a full heal, a super repel, and burn heal. I avoid the hikers, then enter the Wayward Cave basement. I stick around here until I caught myself a Gible.

Anyway, this is what I caught:

Gible(M) Lv17

Hardy Nature

46HP/31atk/23def/23spa/23spd/20spe

Moves: Sand-Attack, Dragon Rage, Sandstorm, Take Down

Decent. Would've liked something like a Jolly nature, but yeah.

Anyway, I went deeper into the cave, grabbing a Max Ether on the first pass, with the second pass giving me a grip claw. The third pass netted me a rare candy, and finally, the cream of the crop... TM26. I decided to use it on Gible right away, replacing Sand-Attack. I then deserted the cave. Headed back to Eterna City to heal. Also went to the Name Rater and rechristened it 'Darros'.

Anyway, onto the rest of the trainers. The first trainer has a Lv21 Staravia, which was a little too much for Gible. Except, not really. Thankfully, the second guy only has a Lv21 Ponyta, who was flattened by an EQ. And Darros levels up.

Gible Lv18: +2 HP/atk, +1 everything else.

Third trainer down had a Lv17 Starly that got raped in one hit from DR. Her Lv18 and 19 Starlies experienced the same fate. The fourth cyclist came into the brawl with a Lv18 Starly and Lv20 Staravia, which I killed with Dragon Rage bursts. I level up again.

Gible Lv19: +3 HP, +1 def/spe, +2 everything else. Did not learn Sand Tomb.

The fifth guy threw in a Lv21 Shinx, which was promptly obliterated with Earthquake. As for the last trainer on the bike path, she carried around a Lv20 Ponyta and Lv18 Shinx. Uh, two Earthquakes and it was done.

Oh, by the way, my Togepi egg hatched. Anyway, don't care.

Oreburgh Gate:

I went back in the cave, and this time, went downstairs. I first went east to collect the TM70. Afterwards, I grabbed a big pearl sitting on the ledge then biked across the ramps to grab the TM31. Unfortunately, I don't have Surf, so I will have to come back later. Used an Escape Rope to leave, and backtracked to Eterna Forest.

Eterna Forest:

I first went to the other reaches of the forest and nabbed myself a big tree(not that I care)and some silverpowder and a TM82. I then enter the forest proper using Cut and enter the very creepy mansion.

Old Chateau:

The music here gives me the creeps.

Anyway, I enter the second room of the house and pick up an old gateau. Cool. I go one room across and find nothing of interest. I then go into the central room and see a human ghost. Creepy... I pick up a rare candy and look around the room a little more and grab a big pearl.

I enter the bedroom suites. While spelunking, I encounter another ghost. I pick up the TM90 that the specter left behind, then go to the 2nd room from the left. I then talk to the telly and thump it, and out came a Rotom. I hit it with Gible's Dragon Rage, which brings it into the low yellow, then I start throwing balls at it. After what was determined to be an eternity, I finally caught Rotom.

Rotom Lv20

Bold Nature

52HP/27atk/42def/45spa/35spd/47spe

Moves: Thundershock, Double Team, Confuse Ray, Uproar

Nice. Very nice indeed.

Anyway, I grab a dread plate on the way out.

Eterna City:

Healed, bought some repels(14 for $4900), sold my big pearls($7500), and named my Rotom 'The Creeper'.

Route 206: Made my way back to the trees. I cut the trees down, and made my way to those two hikers. The hiker that did do battle came in with 2 Onix, one Lv18, the other Lv20. Both snakes died handily, and I leveled up.

Gible Lv20: +2 HP/def, +1 everything else

Wayward Cave:

It's too fucking dark, so I teach Flash to Rotom so then I have a cheap disposable light(Got rid of DT since who gives two shits about evasion).

Anyway, Made my way through the innder depths of the cave, and running away from mirrors. Last time I gave a shit about Bronzor, I was being mocked during my Fe6 playthrough(and speaking of that, fuck you Integ). Anyway, i come across an escape rope and a green shard. Eventually, I found a loli girl who decided to tag along because she's a little fucking girl.

Anyway, I dart over to the first two trainers we saw, who have a Lv22 Gible(Collector) and a Lv19 Geodude and Lv21 Bronzor(Ruin Maniac). I use Dragon Rage to take out all the Pokes here with Kadabra's help.

Gible Lv21: +2 HP/atk, +1 everything else.

After picking up my Blue Shard, I then battle some more wild pogeys and level up again.

Gible Lv22: +2 HP, +1 everything else.

The next batch of trainers attacked us with a Lv22 Hoothoot(Jr Trainer F) and a Lv20 Buizel and Shinx(Jr Trainer M). Just more Dragon Ragin' and Shock Waving. And another Level Up! ~

Gible Lv23: +2 HP/atk/def, +1 everything else.

I nabbed the great ball afterwards, then trekked northward. Battled more pogeys until Darros triumphantly leveled up to Lv24, causing him to evolve.

Gible Lv24: +2 HP/atk, +1 everything else

Darros's new stats:

66HP/52atk/42def/36spa/36spd/46spe

Holy shit 52 atk is beating even Staravia's, and 66HP/42def is pretty sound.

I put Rotom up and let him battle a pair of jr. trainers with a Psyduck and Aipom(both Lv22), which Kadabra handles aptly. Pick up the revive and get a move on south. I battle some more pogeys, and Creeper levels up.

Rotom Lv21: +1 atk, +2 everything else.

Rotom Lv22: +1 atk/spd, +2 everything else. Shock Wave get! Replaced Thundershock.

I eventually run into a lass and youngster with a Lv22 Bunerary(lass) and a Lv17 Staravia/Lv20 Ponyta/Lv20 Shellos(youngster). Using my fancy new Shock Wave, I dismantled the Bunerary as well as the Ponyta for Kadabra to kill.

Rotom Lv23: +1 atk, +2 everything else

Oh joy, I got myself a TM32, and of course, fought more goons until I leveled up again. Except that I got to two hikers first. I let Prinplup take the lead, as we had a Lv22 Onix and 2 Lv20 Geodude to deal with. Thankfully, Confusion and Bubblebeam are both solid OHKO's against all of them, so yeah. And Pengy leveled up.

Prinplup Lv26: +3 HP, +2 spd, +1 everything else

After the fight, I picked up the red shard, and battled with Rotom and Gabite a little more. Eventually, I leveled again.

Rotom Lv24: +3 spe, +1 atk/spd, +2 everything else

Gabite Lv25: +3 HP, +1 spa/spd, +2 everything else

Anyway, I parted ways with Mira and left the cave for good.
