Maybe it's because I don't know about the untranslated supports, but so far, the same scenario (the male character brings a ring, he tries to explain what it means, Nono says she knows it's a symbol of marriage and then they promise to be together) has happened with Callum, Donny, Richt, Ronku and now Rufure. With Vake was similar, but they didn't talk about love or marriage (it seemed more like a promise to be BFF), and Nono only declared herself her love to the other character's surprise in Frederick's and Gaia's S supports (it's meaningful that neither of them had rings prepared in those supports). Probably because they're too worried about the zombie infestation? Also, snakes are really fucking common in some countries. I'd imagine that Future!Lucina will stand down and let Present!Lucina inherit the throne. I doubt she even really wants it. Her Unsupported ending certainly implies she has no interest in inheriting. Lucina may be the only one born in time of the main game (I believe), but eventually, there's going to be two of every single 2nd Gen character running around. Every single pairable character is an adult, so that doesn't really apply. Honestly, the simplest way to deal with this would just be for the children characters to be treated as siblings to their younger selves on the record of genealogy. Bam! Problem essentially solved. And remember: All the children characters grew up under quite adverse conditions, which explains many of their... unique personalities. It's quite likely that their present day selves (growing up in a more peaceful world) will be very different in terms of personality. Less issues, certainly. Like if you pair Vake x Tiamo Selena coming back probably alters their relationship enough that their kid is actually different from Selena in everything.
