FEditor Animations V2

I ended up pasting a hatchet on a Bonewalker, so if anyone wants a crazy skeletal Hector an axe wielding skeleton for whatever reason, have at it.

Download: Mediafire

I just hope it works as well for other people as it seems to do locally :V

If I'd known someone else was thinking of doing this I'd have released mine already...

Bonewalker FE7 Compatible, includes Bonewalker Axe. All of these bonewalkers were designed for FE7, it's just minor tweaks to make the axe one have FE8 sounds. Mr. Night made these animations and we were gonna make an FE8 version eventually.

So someone should make a Wight palette version instead.

Isn't that handled by assigning the appropriate palette after inserting it?

No harm in having more than one version, especially since they're using different axes close up.

Haven't looked at it in-game, but I'm gonna guess your handaxe animation is better than mine :V

I striked that comment because I wasn't being serious since it's just a palette change you could do manually in game rather than frame by frame with the sheet. I thought the palette function of FEditor doesn't work thought? Either way you can do it manually fairly easily somehow so it's no big deal.

The sounds are already in the script, so inserting the animation into FE8 will cause no problems and will include sounds. For FE7, you probably have to import the SFX to the same spot they're in the FE8 array, but I'm not 100% sure that works in FE7 since I don't know how C commands work. Alternatively you can dump the Skeleton animation with FEditor Render Addition and pick out the SFX you want in the script that way. So someone should make a Wight palette version instead.

Oh I see. Cool!

If the Wight is just a Skeleton recolor, I can do that sooner or later.

I think FE7 already has walking sounds, though regular sounds and not like those of the skeleton in FE8

W-W-What's that Griffon Knight in your signature OAO

FE8 Dancer with a staff

Oh, right, credits.

Me for the sprite editing, me for the scripting, no one for credit. I'll get enough of the warm glow of satisfaction seeing it in a screenshot somewhere down the line and knowing that I did that.

Long hair female mage

Really, this was just a copy paste of the FE6 hair onto the FE7 mage, surprised it hadn't been done before. Or, if it had, surprised I hadn't seen it before.

Really, the FE6 battle sprites were pretty terrible, especially compared to the 7 and 8 sprites.

Female mage with a ponytail. Not really satisfied with the ponytail on the cape flap, but I'm an autist, not an artist. If someone wants to take a crack at fixing those up, be my guest.

Incidentally, this is the third night in a row that I've posted an animation. Almost makes you wonder what I do with my life.

If you're looking for something to do, a fairly simple task would be to animate this male dancer using the FE8 dancer class as a base. It should be a pretty easy copy-paste job!

Edit: Made by L95 for Forde in FE8MR. Free to use if anyone wants it.

The Bridge of Death - Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Working on it.

Edit: Not as easy as first thought, OAM overflow errors are a bitch. Still working on it.

Edit 2: Done!

I tried doing it as a new animation first, but that didn't work out so good. So I cut it up and put it on the original dancer sheet.

Credits: Made by L95, pasted onto the original dancer sheet by me.

Holy crap, that was fast! You're awesome!

How about GabrielKnight's Female Bard (FE6)?

P.S. I'm not actually sure if it's 100% completed. You'd have to check.

all we need now are female bard and male falcon knight ^_^;

I actually missed this post XD

The map sprite doesn't matter when it's the animation Lisandra works on lol...

it matters if you plans on using it. i'm pretty sure you don't have the tolerance to add in pixels to those sprites missing the dress and hair.

It's using skin colors on the dress aaaaaaa Can't do it it's impossible I'll fix it.

As for the map sprite, it's a moot point anyway, because the one provided is larger than general map sprites, meaning it'd have to be 32x32, and wouldn't play nice when your army is all lined up in formation.

Edit:

Why would anyone use skin tone on clothing?

Why isn't there a proper harp sound in FE7?

Why is everything terrible?

Credit is... GabrielKnight for the original spriting, me for edits to make work better, me for scripting and cut'n'paste.

The female standing sprite is 19 pixels tall. That's taller than the General by one pixel(not counting the General's lance) lol (Elphin is like 16 pixels tall)

EDIT: ah, wait, those are the focus/selected frames, there doesn't actually seem to be a standing girl sprite there.

Focus frames are 32x32 for all the classes

the focus frames go on the same frames as the map movement frames

:|

The idle/unselected frames aren't that difficult to get to cooperate with 32x32 imo, just need to figure out how they align.

and they align in the center as the Seraph sprite shows [Not sure where I got that, though I think FEU?]
