This is the first time for the entire series to be officially released overseas other than Western countries. Ever since GBA series, there has been discussions that Fire Emblem should be officially released in Korea. Since the big success of awakening, Korean Nintendo fans sent mails to Nintendo Korea to have Awakening officially released. Consequently, Nintendo Korea decided to release if instead of Awakening.
