Before battle (Micaiah’s side)

Nailah:
“…blood pact? A piece of parchment forced you into this hopeless war?”

Micaiah:
“…..”

Rafiel:
“How terrible… I’m sorry for what you’ve been put through, Micaiah.”

Tauroneo:
“The uprising in the empire continues. The apostle’s people await her return as they fight against the senate. Casualties mount each day… We know how urgently the apostle’s army needs to reach the empire. However, if we let their army pass through Daein, the senate will surely invoke the blood pact and destroy us.”

Rafiel:
“Is there anything we can do, my queen? Why don’t we inform the apostle’s army about all this? Surely an alliance between our armies could overcome the senate!”

Nailah:
“At this stage, that’s not an option. It doesn’t matter if both our armies order a cease-fire and join forces. That is exactly the outcome that the senate wish to prevent most. As soon as the senate discover that the apostle’s army and Daein’s army have united, then…”

Sothe:
“The senate won’t hesitate to invoke the curse. No matter what happens, the end result remains the same: the obliteration of Daein.”

[Note: The following lines involving Almedha or Pelleas were slightly changed in the English version]

Micaiah:
“There’s no longer anything we can do… There is only one path left for Daein… and that is destruction…”

Rafiel:
“Micaiah…”

???:
“There may still be hope yet.”

(If Pelleas is dead)

Tauroneo:
“Your highness!”

Micaiah:
“Queen Almedha!”

Almedha:
“Unnh…”

Kurthnaga:
“Ah… Are-are you feeling alright?”

Almedha:
“Apologies… Lend me your shoulder for a moment…”

Kurthnaga:
“Understood.”

Almedha:
“…In the Begnion era, year 626, a terrible plague swept through Daein, killing over a thousand people.”

Tauroneo:
“I remember the horror of that disease. King Ashnard took the throne after the plague killed most of the royal family, including his father. The tragedy is still fresh in my mind.”

Almedha:
“That was no disease. It was the curse of a blood pact.”

Tauroneo:
“What?!”

Almedha:
“It was all plotted by my husband in a bid to claim the throne of Daein. He used the curse… to steal the lives of his family and citizens…”

Tauroneo:
“King Ashnard…? My liege… killed his… own father…”

Almedha:
“Ashnard, he… always worried about the future of a world without equals. He was born an outstanding man, wise beyond his age, yet could never become king. So to shape his ideal world, he decided to resort to underhanded schemes. That’s right… he tricked his father into signing a blood pact with a traveling wise man.”

Tauroneo:
“Who was he!? That wise man…?”

Almedha:
“I do not know the details… To cure my illness, that man gathered at Daein the most bizarre people on the continent… Izuka was one of those people. He said he was a scholar studying the properties of wildlife… but, in truth he was nothing more than a madman hell bent on developing biological weapons… Oh ho ho ho.”

Tauroneo:
“Your highness…”

Almedha:
“Ahem… I seemed to have strayed off the subject. What I want to tell you is that… Ashnard once broke the curse of the blood pact.”

Sothe:
“What did you just say…!?”

Tauroneo:
“Then, does that mean…”

(Image of Ashnard and the previous king)

Almedha:
“I speak no lies. Because… I watched it happen. Ashnard killed his father and before my eyes, the mark of the pact faded from the dead king’s arm”

(Image fades)

Micaiah:
“Yet, King Pelleas’s mark…”

Almedha:
“Yes… That is something I do not understand. Why was the mark of the blood pact… transferred to you? Heh heh… Heh heh heh heh… If you were to die by somebody’s hands now… perhaps the mark might disappear still. How about it? Do you wish to give it a try? You sacrificed my dear Pelleas… It’s only fitting that you should die as well, wench! If nobody has the heart to kill you, I’ll do it myself!!”

(Kurthnaga runs in front of Almedha)

Kurthnaga:
“Please stop!”

Micaiah:
“Kurth…?”

Kurthnaga:
“Please I beg of you…! Even if you kill Micaiah, it won’t bring Pelleas back! Now is the time when you must be strong. To put Pelleas’s spirit to rest, help carry out his dying wish, and ensure the safety of his homeland.”

Almedha:
“But Kurth… he was… That child meant everything to me… I already lost him once before and it was no easy task finding him again… And still, he ended up being taken from my arms… How can I go on without him?”

Kurthnaga:
“I received your message, my sister, and have come to help. Please, Almedha, allow me to protect Daein for you and for Pelleas. Do not lose hope. You are not alone anymore and never shall be again.”

Almedha:
“Oh, Kurthnaga, thank you! I’m so sorry for everything I put you and Father through… I’m so sorry…”

(If Pelleas is alive – from 2nd playthrough only)

Tauroneo:
“Your majesty!”

Micaiah:
“King Pelleas!”

Almedha:
“No! Don’t do it Pelleas!”

Micaiah:
“Did you find anything that could help us?”

Pelleas:
“No, not exactly. However I did find something in my books that could help point us towards the truth.”

Micaiah:
“Please tell us!”

Pelleas:
“…In the Begnion era, year 626, a terrible plague swept through Daein, killing over a thousand people.”

Tauroneo:
“I remember the horror of that disease. King Ashnard took the throne after the plague killed most of the royal family, including his father. The tragedy is still fresh in my mind.”

Pelleas:
“In truth… That was no disease.”

Almedha:
“Say no more, Pelleas…”

Micaiah:
“Queen Almedha?”

Pelleas:
“It was the curse of a blood pact.”

Tauroneo:
“What?!”

Pelleas:
“It was all plotted by my father in a bid to claim the throne of Daein. He used the curse… to steal the lives of his family and citizens…”

Tauroneo:
“King Ashnard…? My liege… killed his… own father…”

Pelleas:
“My father, he… always worried about the future of a world without equals. He was born an outstanding man, wise beyond his age, yet could never become king. Because of this… he tricked his father into signing a blood pact with a traveling wise man.”

Tauroneo:
“Who was he!? That wise man…?”

Pelleas:
“…Mother?”

Almedha:
“I do not know the details, but… To cure my illness, that man gathered at Daein the most bizarre people on the continent… Izuka was one of those people. But, that dastard… From the very beginning, he only ever intended to betray my son!”

Pelleas:
“There is no point dwelling on past wounds. What I want to tell you is that… My father once broke the curse of the blood pact.”

Micaiah:
“He broke the blood pact?”

Tauroneo:
“Then, does that mean…”

(Image of Ashnard and the previous king)

Pelleas:
“According to my mother, Ashnard killed his father and before my mother’s eyes, the mark of the pact faded from the dead king’s arm.”

Almedha:
“…..”

(Image fades)

Pelleas:
“Well, do you understand now? Now… there is no more reason for me to hold back. This time, I will fulfil my responsibility to Daein.”

Almedha:
“No! I won’t let you die! You are all I have left in this world, Pelleas! I can’t bear to lose you again, Pelleas… Please don’t die.”

Pelleas:
“I’m sorry, Mother. My mind is made up. This has to happen.”

Almedha:
“Then I shall die as well! I will take my own life, if necessary!”

Pelleas:
“Mother?!”

(Kurthnaga runs in front of Almedha)

Micaiah:
“…Kurth?”

Kurthnaga:
“Stop! Please, Sister. You must calm down.”

Pelleas:
“Sister?”

Almedha:
“Oh, Kurth! Please, please save my Pelleas! I need your help! Help me protect Daein until we get our chance to break the blood pact! I no longer have any power of my own. You’re my only hope now, little brother. Please, Kurth…”

Kurthnaga:
“Of course, my dear sister. That is why I came when you called me. I shall protect Daein for you and for Pelleas. So please. Put your mind at ease.”

Almedha:
“Oh, Kurth, thank you! I’m so sorry for everything I put you and Father through… I’m so sorry…”

Apostle’s Army Camp, Daein

Ike:
“Have you heard anything from Prince Kurthnaga yet?”

Ena:
“Yes, I just received a message…”

Ike:
“Don’t tell me… No luck, right?”

Ena:
“It is far worse than that. Prince Kurthnaga has decided to fight for Daein.”

Ike:
“What?! Why? He was supposed to stop them from fighting! And now he wants to fight us instead?! Oh great, what are the dragons of Goldoa thinking?!”

Ena:
“These turn of events… are not what my country wish for. It is Prince Kurth’s own wish to fight. King Dheginsea knows nothing of this visit. …And of course, Prince Kurth has a good reason to side with Daein, but… I’m afraid I cannot tell you why.”

Ike:
“Wonderful….”

Ena:
“I will try to reason with Prince Kurth again. For a prince of the dragon tribe to stand on a battlefield… It is unacceptable. I must talk him out of it.”

(Image of Sending stone)

Ike:
“…Wait, are you talking to him with that stone?”

Ena:
“Yes. We dragons have the power to sense the presence of our own kind. In particular, if we share blood ties with someone… or care for them very much, we can know their condition… as well as understand their thoughts, even across extreme distances.”

(Image fades)

Ike:
“When Nasir felt your presence at Crimea… and when Reyson could sense Leanne’s presence, it was because of this ability?”

Ena:
“That’s right. The heron clan… possess that same ability. With the sending stone, we can increase the natural strength of this ability, so that no matter how far apart we are, we can communicate using telepathy.”

Ike:
“That’s one impressive stone.”

(Panning shot of mountains)

Ike:
“It’s almost dawn. We’ll be leaving this castle soon and begin the long march to the Great Wall of Ivelt. I… owe Prince Kurthnaga a favour. Do what you can to convince the prince to stay out of this. I would’ve preferred to avoid a fight, but once again Micaiah isn’t giving us much of a choice.”

Ena:
“I will do my best, Sir Ike.”

Battle begins

Daein Horseback Soldier:
“The apostle’s army has left the castle!”

Micaiah:
“All right. Order all units to stand by until they encounter the enemy forces.”

Daein Horseback Soldier:
“Understood!”

Sothe:
“How are you feeling Micaiah?”

Micaiah:
“Yesterday I thought we were facing our final day… Right now, I feel at peace.”

Sothe:
“Me too. This time… we’ve got no reason to hold back”

(Yune returns to Micaiah’s side)

Micaiah:
“…So you came back to me in the end. I see, since it’s come to this, I won’t stop you.”

(Volug runs towards Micaiah)

Micaiah:
“Volug!? Why are you still here? Didn’t you return to the apostle’s army with Queen Nailah?”

Sothe:
“Hey, Micaiah…!”

(Nailah and Rafiel join Micaiah’s side)

Micaiah:
“Queen Nailah…”

Nailah:
“That army has enough troops. I think you could use some help on your side. Why not let us help?”

Micaiah:
“I can’t allow that… because… You’re laguz, and… what about Rafiel’s brother and sister…?”

Rafiel:
“Reyson and Leanne both fight for the people they love. I shall do the same, even if that means fighting against them. I shall fight for Daein on your behalf.”

Micaiah:
“Thank you both. It means a lot to me. But are you sure? After all, this seems like a hopeless battle.”

Nailah:
“It’s too soon for you to give up hope.”

Micaiah:
“Huh?”

Nailah:
“You have the dragon prince of Goldoa on your side. That counts for something.”

Micaiah:
“Kurth is the prince of Goldoa? So, he is a laguz…”

Nailah:
“Not just a laguz. He is a black dragon. The black dragons are the strongest of all the laguz tribes. Kurth may be young, but his combat ability is extraordinary. We have a chance.”

Micaiah:
“Queen Almedha’s brother… and the strongest of all laguz…”

Sothe:
“Seems like a complicated mess to me. Just the same, he is a powerful ally. We’ve got no reason now to not pull our weight until the very end.”

Micaiah:
“You’re right. For the future of Daein…!”

(Beast tribe charges onto the western side of the battlefield)

Skrimir:
“Onward, my brothers! I will bolster our reduced army strength by giving this battle my full 120%!”

(If Ulki and Janaff are alive)

Janaff:
“Whoa, that’s a problem… Uh, guys? It looks like Prince Rafiel is fighting for the other side. What do we do now?”

Ulki:
“It is his choice. We can’t do anything about it.”

Janaff:
“But at least things can’t get worse than this, right? We’ve even got the black dragon prince running around.”

(Tibarn flies in)

Tibarn:
“Well, his choice or not, it makes things a lot more complicated for us.”

Janaff:
:Y-Your Majesty! Please don’t sneak up on me like that! You know how I hate my feathers being ruffled.

Reyson:
“He has sided with our enemies? Has he lost his mind? My dear, stupid brother…”

Janaff:
“The White Prince! You’re here, too?! What about the medallion?! Weren’t you supposed to be–“

Reyson:
“…..”

Tibarn:
“Leanne is watching over it now. We need to convince Rafiel to come back to our side. Tell everyone on our side that if they even lay a finger on him, I’ll send them flying without a moment’s hesitation. Got that?”

Janaff:
“Yes, Your Majesty!”

Ulki:
“Understood…”

(If Ulki is dead)

Janaff:
“O-oh, man… What’s Prince Rafiel doing on the enemy’s side? No way am I telling Tibarn about this.”

(Tibarn flies in)

Tibarn:
“About what, Janaff? Rafiel… He’s gone to help Micaiah, eh? Blasted girl…”

Janaff:
“Y-Your Majesty! Please don’t sneak up on me like that! You know how I hate my feathers being ruffled.”

Reyson:
“He has sided with our enemies? Has he lost his mind? My dear, stupid brother…”

Janaff:
“The White Prince! You’re here, too?! What about the medallion?! Weren’t you supposed to be–“

Reyson:
“…..”

Tibarn:
“Leanne is watching over it now. We need to convince Rafiel to come back to our side. Tell everyone on our side that if they even lay a finger on him, I’ll send them flying without a moment’s hesitation. Got that?”

Janaff:
“Yes, Your Majesty!:”

(If Janaff is dead)

Ulki:
“King Tibarn, I can hear Prince Rafiel commiserating with the enemy. I believe he has joined their ranks.”

Tibarn:
“Well, isn’t that precious? Not only are we facing off against a black dragon, we now have Rafiel to look after. I just hope the idiot doesn’t get himself into too much trouble before we get our hands on him.”

Ulki:
“Indeed, Your Majesty.”

Reyson:
“He has sided with our enemies? Has he lost his mind? My dear, stupid brother…”

Ulki:
“Prince Reyson… Are you not supposed to be watching over the medallion?”

Reyson:
“…..”

Tibarn:
“Leanne is watching over it now. We need to convince Rafiel to come back to our side. Tell everyone on our side that if they even lay a finger on him, I’ll send them flying without a moment’s hesitation. Got that?”

Ulki:
“Of course, Your Majesty.”

(If both Janaff and Ulki are dead)

Tibarn:
“Well, isn’t that precious? Not only am I facing off against a black dragon, but I also have Rafiel to look after. I just hope the idiot doesn’t get himself into too much trouble before I get my hands on him.”

Reyson:
“He has sided with our enemies? Has he lost his mind? My dear, stupid brother…”

Tibarn:
“Reyson, aren’t you supposed to be watching over the medallion?”

Reyson:
“Leanne is watching over it now.”

Tibarn:
“Either we convince Rafiel to come back to our side, or we drag his unconscious backside over here. Got that?”

Reyson:
“As you wish, Tibarn. Just…please don’t hit him too hard. He’s even more fragile than I.”

(Focus moves to Ike’s side)

Ike:
“…I guess it didn’t work out?”

Ena:
“I’m sorry…”

Ike:
“What will you do now, Ena? Are you going over to the other side, too?”

Ena:
“King Dheginsea has expressly forbidden us from choosing sides. The dragon tribe must not fight. I shall attempt to stop the prince.”

Ike:
“Didn’t you help us fight 3 years ago during the Mad King’s War?”

Ena:
“That was because… we had no other choice.”

Ike:
“It doesn’t seem like you have a choice right now.”

Ena:
“…..”

Ike:
“Do what you need to do. Just be careful out there, all right?”

Ena:
“Yes, Sir Ike.”

(Elincia flies towards Ike)

Ike:
“Elincia, please stay back. I know it’s extremely unlikely, but if a chance for a peace talk arises, I want you to mediate the whole show, since you haven’t fought in any of our battles.”

Elincia:
“I understand. I will pray to the goddess… that we may resolve this situation peacefully. Please be safe.”

Ike:
“OK.”

(Elincia and Lucia leave)

Ike:
“Everyone, get moving! Let’s get this mess over with.”

(When the Units Killed counter reaches 10)

Ranulf:
“Ugh… All this chaos… I can barely see straight…”

(When the Units killed counter reaches 15)

Sanaki:
“Still no word from the battle. What’s going on out there? I should go to my people. They may need me.”

???:
“Hey, just where do you think you’re going?”

Sanaki:
“Ah!!”

???:
“Do you think the high-and-mighty apostle should be traipsing around a battlefield, hmm?”

Sanaki:
“Wha– Oh, it’s just you. Hmph. How dare you sneak up on me that way!”

???:
“That beauty from the Holy Guards told me to keep an eye on you. So, do me a favor and sit still, will you?”

Sanaki:
“But I can’t see anything from here! I have to know how my people are faring down there! I…I can’t bear doing nothing!”

???:
“Heh, I guess you’ve got a point.”

Sanaki:
“Hmm… I have an idea. You! Carry me to a place where I can observe the battle! Come on, let’s get moving!”

???:
“Wait a minute, isn’t that a bit dangerous?”

Sanaki:
“You’re the one who agreed to guard me. Are you going to obey me, or shall I have you chased back home in a cloud of feathers?”

???:
“Okay… I get it. As you wish, Empress. My back is yours.”

Sanaki:
“Hmph. It would have been much easier if you had just listened to me from the start.”

Naesala:
“By the goddess, what have I gotten myself into?”

(When the Units Killed counter reaches 20)

(Image of Leanne on the floor, with the Fire Emblem shining brightly)

(When the Units Killed counter reaches 25)

Kurthnaga:
“My body feels like it’s on fire… I can hardly breathe! So, this is what war feels like… No, please, don’t come near me… I don’t want to hurt anyone!”

(When the Units Killed counter reaches 30)

Micaiah:
“Whe…What did you say? Did somebody call for me? Who just called out my name?”

Sothe:
“Micaiah? Micaiah, what’s wrong?”

Micaiah:
“Wait. I’m coming! I’ll be right there!”

(Micaiah and Sothe leave)

(When the Units Killed counter reaches 80)

After battle

(If Mist does not have an A-Rank Support with Boyd)

Titania:
“I need you to come over here! Something is wrong with Mist!”

Ike:
“Mist?! Mist!”

Mist:
“Ike…”

Ike:
“What’s wrong?!”

Mist:
“My head… It hurts so much…”

Ike:
“Hang in there, I’ll call for a medic right away!”

Mist:
“It’s the medallion…”

Ike:
“What do you mean?”

Mist:
“The medallion is calling out to me… Please, Ike… Take me to the medallion…”

Ike:
“Mist! Talk to me! Wake up, please!”

Titania:
“Go, Ike! Get her out of here!”

Ike:
“But–“

Titania:
“Leave everything to us! You have to take care of Mist now.”

Ike:
“Thank you!”

(If Mist has an A-Rank Support with Boyd)

Boyd:
“Ike, get over here, quick! Mist collapsed!”

Ike:
“Mist?! Mist!”

Mist:
“Ike…”

Mist:
“My head… It hurts so much…”

Ike:
“Hang in there, I’ll call for a medic right away!”

Mist:
“It’s the medallion…:”

Ike:
“What do you mean?”

Mist:
“The medallion is calling out to me… Please, Ike… Take me to the medallion…”

Ike:
“Mist! Talk to me! Wake up, please!”

Boyd:
“I’ll clear you a path! Take Mist with you! Get her out of here, quick!”

Ike:
“But–“

Mist:
“Boyd…”

Boyd:
“Don’t worry. I won’t die here. You take care of yourself, all right? Hang in there, for me.”

Mist:
“Boyd… I will. I promise.”

Boyd:
“Look after her, all right, Ike? Make sure nothing happens to her.”

Ike:
“I will. Thanks for this, Boyd.”

Inside the castle

Ike:
“What’s this light? Is it the medallion?”

Nailah:
“She collapsed, too?”

Tibarn:
“I get it now. Anyone who has the spirit of order within them is affected by this light.”

Ike:
“Tibarn! Queen Nailah! What are you two doing here?”

Tibarn:
“Reyson collapsed suddenly. I figured I’d take him to a safe place and we ended up here.”

Nailah:
“Rafiel fell unconscious as well. I thought Leanne might know of a way to help him. But then I found that she had collapsed too.”

Ike:
“And you think the medallion did this to them?”

Tibarn:
“I can’t think of any other explanation.”

Ike:
“Mist?”

(Mist sings)

Mist:
“The seal…on the medallion… is about to break… It can’t be controlled anymore… My song won’t work anymore… We can’t let the seal… break because of the… spirit of chaos…”

Ike:
“What are you talking about?!”

Mist:
“Call the apostle… She must sing the galdr of release… Hurry, before it’s too late…”

Ike:
“Mist! Hang in there!”

Mist:
“Please, Ike… I can hear…a voice… It’s inside my head… The voice is telling me…that we must not awaken the dark god through war…:”

Tibarn:
“Ulki! Do you hear me? Bring the apostle here at once!”

Mist:
“Uh…”

Tibarn:
“The apostle is coming. Be strong.”

Mist:
“…Thank you… Hawk King…”

Ike:
“Are you sure about this? Mist is saying that she should sing the galdr of release. She’s saying that we should wake up the dark god!”

Tibarm:
“The seal will break anyway. If that’s the case, then we should take a chance on your sister and do what she says. Maybe there’s still a way to fix this mess.”

Nailah:
“I agree with the hawk king. It’s too late to calm the warring laguz and the cornered Daein soldiers will not retreat either.”

Ike:
“…..”

Tibarn:
“Now that I think about it. I did always wonder why Heron Princess Lillia passed down the galdr of release… the same galdr passed down by Altina’s direct descendants.”

Ike:
“Do you think we’ll be safe if the apostle wakes up the dark god?”

Tibarn:
“I don’t know. However Lillia must have left the galldr behind for a good reason. I’m willing to bet my life on it.”

Nailah:
“It’s the only choice for our survival. Besides, we won’t know if it’ll work until we try.”

Ike:
“All right… Let’s do it.”

(Ulki, Sanaki and Naesala enter the room)

Ulki:
“I brought the apostle with me.”

Tibarn:
“Excellent timing.”

Janaff:
“…And a little extra baggage.”

Naesala:
“Reyson! Leanne!”

(Tibarn motions towards Naesala)

Naesala:
“Now now, Tibarn. I know you’re angry, but we’ll work it out when this is over.”

Tibarn:
“Not a chance, Naesala. I hope you’ve s aid all your prayers and farewells. After I break every bone in your body, I’m going to rip your wings off and feed them to you before you get to die.”

Sanaki:
“Hawk King Tibarn, I must ask you for your patience. This man serves under my command.”

Tibarn:
“You think I care, child? This is a laguz matter. You should see yourself out of it very quickly.”

Sanaki:
“I will explain later. Put aside your past quarrels for now. Not to repeat the king of Kilvas, but we have more pressing issues we must attend to. Oh, and Hawk King? Don’t ever call me “child” again.”

Tibarn:
“Hmph…fine. You get to live for now, Naesala. Once this is done, though, you’re a corpse.”

Sanaki:
“So, what would you have me do? I will use all the power at my disposal to help in this.”

Ike:
“We’d like you to sing the galdr of release for us.”

Sanaki:
“The song that was passed down from the heron princess to your mother?”

Ike:
“Yeah. Then from my mother to Mist. And finally, 3 years ago after the Mad King’s War ended, it should have passed from Sephiran to you.”

Sanaki:
“That is correct, I still remember it clearly. The galdr that only I, sole descendant of Altina, can sing. But if I sing that galdr before the medallion, it would awaken the dark god…”

Tibarn:
“With the current state of affairs, the seal will break if we just leave the medallion alone.”

Nailah:
“…Rafiel and the others falling unconscious is testimony to the vast levels of chaos.”

Ike:
“This is what my sister said: We must not awaken the dark god with the spirit of chaos. We must use the galdr of release instead. I’m certain there must be a good reason for this. So, please, sing the song.”

Sanaki:
“…Very well. I shall try.”

(Sanaki sings)

Ike:
“What’s going on? Nothing’s happening.”

Sanaki:
“It’s not working! But why?”

(Yune flies in)

Sanaki:
“A bird?”

???:
“A melody alone won’t work.”

(Micaiah walks in, Sothe follows shortly)

Sothe:
“Wait! This is right in the middle of enemy territory!”

Ike:
“Sothe! Why are you here?”

Sothe:
“Commander Ike!”

Nailah:
“You two… what are you doing here?”

Sothe:
“Queen Nailah… And the laguz kings… Even the apostle is here? I thought you’d all be on the battlefield, commanding the army! This just got really, really bad…”

Ike:
“Mist and the herons collapsed because of that thing.”

Micaiah:
“…I can hear the voice. Finally, we get to meet. I have been guided by this voice for so long… I have finally found my purpose.”

Sanaki:
“You’re the Daein army’s…”

Sothe:
“Is Yune here?”

Micaiah:
“Galdrar consist of melody and lyrics. Without both in harmony, the songs have a mere fraction of their power.”

Sanaki:
“Maiden of Daein, the only part I was taught was the melody. I cannot sing the lyrics, if I was not taught them.”

Micaiah:
“The words. They are passed down through the ages like a bloodline. Though time may pass, their meaning is never lost. When I heard you sing the melody, the words came to me.”

Sothe:
“Micaiah? I don’t understand what you’re going on about. There’s no way you could–“

Ike:
“Sothe, shut up and watch.”

Sothe:
“Commander Ike…”

(Micaiah sings)

Micaiah:
“When I heard the melody, the lyrics felt as if they poured out from deep within me. I know this song. I’ve known it since before I was born. I am…”

(Image of the awoken Ashera and Lehran)

Lehran:
“Good morning to you, my goddess.”

Ashera:
“What has happened? A thousand years have not passed. Why am I awoken early?”

Lehran:
“Indeed, my goddess. You have been asleep for 780 years. During that time, the world kept its promise to you for a mere two hundred years, at best. It was as you said. Neither the laguz nor beorc could resist the urge to fight. They are too weak. Though there are 220 years left until the thousandth year, there is no longer any need to wait.”

Ashera:
“Is that so? That is your analysis?”

Lehran:
“Indeed.”

Ashera:
“Then I shall pass down my judgment. I will save them from themselves.”

Mist:
“Ugh…”

Ike:
“Mist! How do you feel?”

Mist:
“Ike, you look so worried… What happened? Where am I, anyway? The last I remember, I was on the battlefield…”

Ike:
“You don’t remember?”

Mist:
“I had a horrible headache, and my stomach really hurt… Then suddenly, it all went away.”

Reyson:
“Unnh…!”

Tibarn:
“Reyson?”

Reyson:
“Tibarn… What is this place? Did I… cause trouble for you again?”

Tibarn:
“Don’t worry about that. The important thing is that you’re okay.”

Reyson:
“Tibarn…”

Naesala:
“Are you all right, Reyson?”

Reyson:
“Naesala? Why are you here? You betrayed us again, you dastard!”

Naesala:
“I had my reasons. I know you’ll never forgive me, but I at least want you to hear me out. But it can wait.”

Reyson:
“…Is that so? If you can make Tibarn forgive you… then I too can forgive you…”

Naesala:
“Tibarn and I will work out our problems first. You go ahead and sleep now, all right?”

Reyson:
“Very well… I’m glad to hear that…”

Tibarn:
“Start talking, before I tear your arms off.”

Naesala:
“Whatever my reasons, you won’t forgive me. I know that. But I’m asking you to put your feelings aside for now. We’re both worried about the herons, right?”

Tibarn:
“You spineless piece of trash! You used that line on me before, remember?! And look what my forgiveness did to my people! You live now because I choose for you to live, Naesala. Once this mess gets sorted, though, I’ll be wearing your beak as a trophy. Get out of my sight.”

Nailah:
“Rafiel and Leanne are still out cold. Will they be all right?”

???:
“There’s no need to worry. They’re just not used to the spirit of chaos being so near. They’ll wake up soon.”

Nailah:
“Huh?”

Sothe:
“Micaiah! What happened to the dark god? Is she awake?”

???:
“I’m not Micaiah. She’s sleeping right now.”

Sothe:
“What?! What are you saying?! If you’re not Micaiah, then where is she?!”

???:
“Pffft… don’t disturb me! I wonder where Ashera is? We must hurry and make our judgment. Wait…what are you doing?! No! You must consult with me first! No, don’t do this!”

Ike:
“Mist. Are you all right?”

Mist:
“Yes, I’m fine. What happened, though? What was that light?”

Ike:
“I don’t know… But it’s very quiet outside. Too quiet. I hope everyone’s OK…”

Tibarn:
“So, can you tell what’s going on out there?”

Ulki:
“…Impossible!”

Janaff:
“What’s wrong?”

Ulki:
“I can’t hear anything… Either that light took my hearing, or… there’s nothing out there…”

Tibarn:
“What do you mean?! There were thousands of troops…”

Ulki:
“I’ll go take a look!”

Ike:
“…..”

Mist:
“Brother, where are you going?”

???:
“It’s time. Everyone, let’s go outside.”

Sothe:
“H-hey! Micaiah! Wait!”
