Fire Emblem Engage: GameSpot & IGN Previews + 20s Web Commercial

Note: This is a backdated article.

On 13th December, GameSpot and IGN shared English previews of Fire Emblem Engage. These both appear to be from Chapter 5, when Alear attempts to reclaim the Firenese castle from Elusian invaders.

GameSpot

Since Chapter 5 is fairly early on and we’ve seen bits of it before, in Clanne’s spotlight etc., there isn’t anything massively new. However, it’s cool seeing more of the game in English, plus we have confirmation of various English names.

First, a bunch of personal skills:

  • Clanne: Verdant Faith
  • Cramme: Crimson Cheer
  • Etie: Energized
  • Boucheron: Moved to Tears
  • Vander: Alabaster Duty

Fire Emblem Engage: Emblem Leif Analysis

Today’s daily Fire Emblem Engage content is an overview video showcasing Emblem Leif.

Like recent overviews, most of the info has been covered already, but there are some new gameplay shots.

First, Leif’s profile:

Emblem Leif (VA: Kenichi Suzumura), known as the Emblem of Genealogy, is a brave prince who carries the blood of two Crusaders.

If you’re confused why Leif is the Emblem of “Genealogy”, this is likely a reference to him being from the 2nd generation. Meanwhile Sigurd is the Emblem of the “Holy War”.

A brief video of Leif chatting to Clanne:

Now onto the overview itself!

Leif can wield many weapons and quickly adapt to the situation. He’s an excellent all-round Emblem who can attack from anywhere, without worrying about weapon or class advantages.

Fire Emblem Engage: Emblem Roy Analysis

On Monday, the official Fire Emblem Twitter shared an overview video for Emblem Roy. Because I was busy and there was a metric ton of Fire Emblem Engage news last Friday, this analysis is a bit later than usual.

His profile:

Emblem Roy (VA: Jun Fukuyama), known as the Emblem of Binding, is a nobleman who’s courageous, resourceful and has the makings of a fine general.

A conversation with Diamant:

Next, the main course itself–an overview of Roy’s abilities:

Roy, the Emblem of Binding, is a vanguard-type Emblem that’s great on the front-lines, with an excellent balance of offence and defence, the sturdiness to survive knock out blows and the offensive power to obliterate groups of foes.
