Today, 28 June, is the official release day for Fire Emblem Cipher Series 13! The set titled Flame, Steel, Thought and Grief is now available in card shops around Japan.
S13 features cards and characters from Blazing Sword, Shadow Dragon, and Heroes. It also contains a new Structured Deck featuring more FE7 characters. Scroll on below for a look at the available cards and related promos!
A new special battle event is now available in Fire Emblem Heroes! Prepare a strong team and head to Special Maps to tackle Bound Hero Battle: Seliph & Julia. The BHB also has an associated banner containing 5★ focus units for Seliph, Julia, and Deirdre.
As usual, you can complete the BHB in three difficulties to earn up to 9 Orbs! Be careful, however, as all of your units need to survive the map. Bound Hero Battle: Seliph & Julia and its associated banner will be available for about a week, ending on on 12 June.
Additionally, Heroes has shared a preview trailer for the next new banner, Scattered Fangs! It contains three new units from Blazing Sword, including two new characters, Karla and Legault. The third character is an alt for Nino, now a flying green mage! Check out the trailer here. You can also check further down for a text breakdown of their skills.
The new banner comes out this Friday, 8 June. A new story chapter, “The King’s Demise” will also be arriving that day alongside the banner. Furthermore, according to the Notification Screen, a new Grand Hero Battle featuring Linus will begin on 12 June.
Most interesting, a shot of the new story chapter also shows another new FE7 character, Canas. Perhaps we’ll be getting him soon via another method? We’re nearing the end of the current Event Calendar, so we don’t quite know what events will be coming next that could reward a new unit. It could be another TT, or even another GC unit reward like Kaze.

This past Saturday, the Fire Emblem Cipher team held the Cipher Spring 2018 Livesteam live over NicoNico! Before the stream started, @fecipher shared this artwork of Marth and Caeda as a teaser:
Ryota Kawade and Young hosted the presentation, joined by frequent guest Eri Suzuki (voice actress for Soleil, Delthea, and Emma). The main focus of the stream was to cover new cards for the upcoming Cipher Series 13, “Flame, Steel, Thought, and Grief“. S13 will release in Japan on 28 June, and daily card reveals just started the week before.
Before the stream ended, a few guests also joined into the stream, and we also got title announcements for S14 & S15! Click on the “Read More” link for a look at all of the news and art coming soon for Cipher.
The Fire Emblem Cipher Series 7 booster boxes may have already been released, but this particular set also has a large amount of related promotional cards. Many promos were still unrevealed by the time the set itself released, but now we can take a look at them and hopefully learn how to get our hands on them…
As usual, the first 2 promos were the preview promos included in the S7 Booster Boxes, and the next six are all special promos available to players who compete in Cipher tournaments in Japan.
Athos (P07-003PR) and Oboro (P07-004PR) are both completely new cards while Hector (P07-005PR), Nino (P07-006PR), Takumi (P07-007PR), and Sakura (P07-008PR) are alternate art reprints of cards available in S7 booster boxes. These are all characters from Blazing Sword and Fire Emblem Fates, the two featured games in S7.
