Heroes: New Tempest Trials Series to Continue from Book III

A year ago, Fire Emblem Heroes surprised us with “Ice & Flame”, a 6-part Tempest Trials+ series that brought back Fjorm and other characters from Book II.

Since then, fans have speculated if the same could happen for other Books. Well, now, it’s been confirmed that Book III will also be getting its own Tempest Trials+ series, starting with the one on 7th July 2022 (UTC).

Via the in-game notification: “The Tempest Trials+ event that starts at […] is part of a series about Eir and those whose lives she has touched. […]”

To hype up the occasion, the FE Heroes team have created a cutesy “chibi playhouse” video that whimsically recaps the events of Book III, in case you’ve forgotten what went down.

Heroes: Book III ending cinematic, and new Lost Lore event!

With Book III of FE Heroes‘ Main Story coming to a close, a new cinematic has been released to seal the deal.

The video is also available in Japanese.

Just like in the Book III opening cinematic, we see Sharena about to be killed by Hel, with Alfonse helplessly looking on. Only this time, Eir saves Sharena’s life by throwing her dagger and deflecting Hel’s blow, giving Alfonse time to jump in and challenge Hel.

He gets a blow in, but of course, Hel can’t be killed by conventional means. This does, however, buy time for Veronica to summon the second Breidablik they managed to obtain from Líf. The Summoner then takes the weapon and unloads it directly towards Hel. Hel seemingly disintegrates into nothing, not unlike a Thanos snap victim. The final scene is part of the dialogue shared between Hel and Eir at the end of the final Chapter of Book III, with Eir accepting her mother’s fate.

With the closing of Book III, we can expect a new cinematic to go with the beginning of Book IV within the next month!

Also today: A new Lost Lore event has begun!

The theme of this Lost Lore is based on events from the world of Awakening. The event begins today and is available until the 4th of December 6:59am UTC. Play to earn Orbs, Dragonflowers, amongst other materials.

Heroes: Rulers of the Laguz Banner & Forging Bonds + New Event Calendar!

Our first four Beast units have just arrived in Fire Emblem Heroes! Spend your Orbs on the Rulers of the Laguz Banner for your shot at Tibarn, Reyson, Leanne, or Nailah. If you’d like to see more details, you can also check out our earlier article for their preview trailer and a text breakdown of their skills and abilities.

This banner also comes with two opportunities to see these heroes in action right away: a new main story chapter and a special event! Book III, Chapter 3: Countdown gives us our very first glimpse of the new heroes. Complete all five chapters and their associated quests to earn up to 20 Orbs!

Our four Laguz also take centre stage in the latest Forging Bonds: Hearts as One. Sharena takes the time to show everyone around the castle and the Order of Heroes.

As usual for Forging Bonds, compete in battles with accessories to gain the Friendship of our four newest allies. You’ll unlock special conversations with them, and also earn some rewards along the way!

The rewards structure has changed slightly from previous events. You now get a First Summon Ticket at 400 Friendship (instead of Hero Feathers), and also 10 Heroic Grails at 3500 (instead of one Orb). Other rewards appear to be the same.

The Rulers of the Laguz Banner will be around for about three weeks, ending on 30 January. Forging Bonds: Hearts as One will last its usual length of two weeks, ending on 25 January.

Heroes: Version 3.0.0 Roundup + Special Orb Promo: December

With this post, I’ll hopefully be covering all the new features within Heroes introduced with version 3.0.0 that wasn’t covered fully or at all within the recent Feh Channel: Special Book III Edition.

A quick summary of everything related to v3.0.0:

  • Book III of the story has begun
  • Unlock free 5-star Mythic Hero Eir: Merciful Death
  • Hero Fest banner: featuring Eir, Ophelia, Owain, and Lewyn
  • Mythic Heroes and Mythic Effects have been added
  • First Summon Tickets have been added
  • New weapon skills and weapons to refine
  • Aether Raids: new structure “Escape Ladder (O)”
  • Halloween Dorcas and Aversa can now be summoned using Heroic Grails
  • Other minor Quality of Life changes
  • Beast Type Heroes will be coming as part of the Radiant Dawn banner in January
