Sounds of Fire Emblem from Cipher Festival – Galeforce CD

The legendary “Cavalier Duo” strikes again! Fire Emblem composers Hiroki Morishita and Takeru Kanazaki have once again put together a stellar album based on their Cipher Festival performances. This Galeforce CD contains a selection of songs from throughout the Fire Emblem series performed by the duo.

Unfortunately for international fans, the Galeforce CD was only available at Comiket 95 this past December. However, I was able to get my hands on a copy thanks to a friend in Japan. Scroll on down below for some more photos and information. You can also to listen to the tracks for yourself!

The Cavalier Duo

The Cavalier Duo is made up of two composers, Hiroki Morishita as the Red Cavalier, and Takeru Kanazaki as the Green. Both have been working as part of the Fire Emblem music team for a number of years.

The pair worked together on the music for Fates. Additionally, Morishita worked on Awakening and Heroes, while Kanazaki was involved with the music for Echoes.

The Cavalier Duo & Sounds of Fire Emblem from Cipher Caravan

Unless you’re a die-hard Cipher follower or merchandise collector, you might have missed the birth of the real-life “Cavalier Duo” during 2016.

Perhaps better known for their roles as Sound Director and Music Composer in Fates, Hiroki Morishita (left) and Takeru Kanazaki (right) performed in a series of Fire Emblem mini-concerts during the Cipher Caravan events from June to August 2016.

Around this time, the pair became known as the “Cavalier Duo” (“Social Knights” in Japan, based on the Japanese name of the Cavalier class), with Morishita being the red Cavalier and Kanazaki being the green Cavalier.

Later, during the end of 2016, the pair released a soundtrack CD containing music they performed at the Cipher Caravan event, dubbed “Sounds of Fire Emblem from Cipher Caravan – Horse and Rider as One”.

Fire Emblem Cipher at Comiket 91

As teased in the Series 7 pre-release livestream (and earlier), Fire Emblem Cipher is heading to Comiket 91, its third appearance at Comiket to date.

No doubt all the serious Fire Emblem collectors are busting out their wallets as we speak, while the rest of all look for something to wipe the drool.

For those not in the know, Comiket (short for Comic Market) is the biggest fan event in Japan, where companies often like to attend to sell rare and exclusive merchandise.

Comiket 91 runs from 29th to 31st December 2016 at the Tokyo Big Sight. The Fire Emblem Cipher area will be located in booth 3142, 4th floor, west corporate area.
