On the third day (17th July 2016) of the Hyper Japan Festival 2016 in London, Nintendo UK is holding a Fire Emblem Cosplay Contest with plenty of impressive prizes up for grabs, including the Fates Limited Edition.

To be eligible for the contest, you must send an e-mail to Nintendo UK before 12:00 11th July 2016. For more details, please check the official contest page. Also, please share with any UK fans you know!

Fates: European Map Pack 2 Schedule

While Fire Emblem fans in Europe still await the launch of the remaining 4 DLC maps from Map Pack 1, one of which (Vanguard Dawn) is available today, Nintendo has sneakily updated their website with details of Map Pack 2.

Unsurprisingly, Map Pack 2 will be up for purchase starting from 21st July 2016, a week after all the content of Map Pack 1 is done and dusted. However, unlike in North America, three maps will be released each week (for two weeks), similar to in Japan.

Map Pack 2 costs 7.19 GBP or 7.99 EUR, which is almost a 25% saving. If you opt to buy the maps individually, the first map I: In Endless Dreams costs 0.49 GBP/EUR, while the other five maps will set you back 1.79 GBP / 1.99 EUR each.

From 21st July, players can also download Another Gift from Anna for free, to instantly add a valuable Boots item and elusive Paragon skill scroll (which doubles experience earned) to their convoy.

With luck, we’ll find out if there’s a Map Pack 3 (containing the currently unreleased festival maps) sooner than later.

Fates: Revelation Available for Everyone in Europe

For those of you in Europe who own the standard editions of Fire Emblem Fates, you can now purchase and download the third route, “Revelation” starting today.

This path compliments the Birthright and Conquest story lines and, as its title suggests, reveals many secrets about the conflict at large. As such, it’s advised that you play it after completing the other two paths.

If you’re unsure how to purchase additional paths, what you need to do is choose the “Branch of Fates” option (available after Chapter 6) from the start menu, before loading a save file.

Alternatively, you can purchase a download code from participating retailers and input it via the Dragon’s Gate (again, from Chapter 6 and onward). On a related note, the Royal Royale DLC map is also available to download.

Meanwhile, Australian fans must patiently wait one more day for Revelation and the new DLC because of their slightly.later release schedule.

Fates: My Castle Sharing Reminder

A friendly reminder for any Fire Emblem Fates players, especially those from Europe or Australia who just recently got the game.

The My Castle feature in Fates is a really fun place to hang out, but moreso if you go to other players’ castles to battle them or borrow their resources. By continuing to visit castles (and have others visits yours), you can earn additional rewards too.

European/Australian players are welcome to visit my in-progress castle!

If you want to take a break from visiting random castles, why not check out our Serenes Forest My Castle Central: Friend/Castle Code Sharing thread, run by our news editor Elieson and forum member CaitlynMellark.

So far, there are over a hundred castles that you can visit by inputting their Castle Address. You can even see what resources are available, without having to stare at tiny icons on the screen. Of course, you’re more than welcome to add your own castle!

Note: Players with different versions of Fates (Japanese, North American or European/Australian) cannot visit one another.
