Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 7x

Just a very quick and minor update. The schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website has been changed slightly. Next week will be dedicated to Three Houses, presumably to commemorate the game’s upcoming release.

As a result, all the featured games from 22nd July (as per the original schedule) will be delayed by 1 week. Anyway, it’s really cool that they’re doing this; I was a tad disappointed when it seemed like they wouldn’t feature Three Houses during its launch week.

22nd – 28th July: Three Houses

Featured song: Fodlán Winds

Unsurprisingly, we have the three house leaders, both versions of Byleth, and Sothis. Plus the Death Knight. For the record, those 7–along with the Flame Emperor–are the only known characters with official artwork (rather than simply a portrait). Not counting the older versions of the house leaders.

You may recall that in the Japanese version, Byleth’s name is spelled slightly differently, depending on their gender. It seems their names may be “Beret” and “Beres” internally. That said, there have been some wonky filenames in the past (like Caeda being named “Sedgar” through all her incarnations), so perhaps we shouldn’t read into it too much.

Also, if you’re interested, here’s the Three Houses version of the website logo.

Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 7

Welcome to another relaxing Sunday article, where we’ll cover the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website. Last month, we listed the schedule from 27th May to 30th June.

This time, we have 7 week’s worth of data. The selection of games is pretty solid as well, with reps from Archanea, Jugdral, Elibe, Magvel, Ylisse and wherever the heck Fates takes place. Three Houses will be released during this time period, but it’s unlikely the game will be featured until August, at the earliest.

1st – 7th July: The Sacred Stones

Featured song: Follow Me!

Leading July is L’Arachel and her two cronies. After that, we have the Christmas Cavaliers, then the Caer Pelyn duo.

Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 6

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! As for me, I somehow ended up at a motorcycle festival, but that’s a story for another time and place. Anyway, I’m here to report the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website.

Last month, we covered the schedule from 22nd April to 26th May. From here, every single game that’s been released (that’s been developed by Intelligent Systems) has been featured at least once–some twice. My aim is to keep going until I’m bored or enough people shout at me.

27th May – 2nd June: Binding Blade

Featured song: Dark Priestess

Next week starts off with the second appearance of Binding Blade. The characters include the Araphen orphanage trio, a trio of promoted units (two from the Western Isles) and… Merlinus. It’s kinda like they were going for a pattern, but decided to sod it at the last minute.

Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 5

We hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday, Easter or otherwise! Anyway, it’s that time again, where we outline the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website.

Last month, we covered the schedule from 18th March to 21st April 2019. Up to this point, every released mainline game has been featured except for New Mystery of the Emblem. Which means two things: New Mystery and the beginning of repeats.

22nd – 28th April: New Mystery of the Emblem

Featured song: Young Light

To nobody’s surprise, New Mystery is the next game to bask in the spotlight. The characters are a predictable bunch since there are only a dozen or so official artworks for the game. This time, Marth is missing in action and his “shadow” leads the roster instead.

Funnily, Sirius’s image file is labelled as “Camus”, even though there’s no real reason for it. Say, unlike Nagi, who is internally known as “Naga” in the games. Read more
