Today is the start of Golden Week in Japan, which is a very special holiday-filled week. During this relaxing time, there are many celebrations–and this extends to free mobile titles like Fire Emblem Heroes.
Starting today until the daily rollover on 10th May 2019, there will be the first of two Log-in Bonuses. Summoners will receive First Summon Tickets up to 10 times. There are two types of tickets, denoted by “I” or “II” and they’ll be handed out alternately.
A few days later, from 29th April until 12th May 2019, there will be a second Log-in Bonus, but this one features Orbs as normal. However, a total of 20 Orbs will be available by logging in through 10 days, instead of the usual 13.
Also starting now until 10th May 2019, new daily maps will be added to Special Maps, awarding 1 Orb each by completing Normal and Hard difficulties, for 10 days in a row. That means you can snag a further 20 Orbs.
As for what you can spend the First Summon Tickets and perhaps your Orbs on, two “Hero Fest” banners are now available, until 10th May 2019. These feature the first and second year winners of Choose Your Legends.
First Summon Tickets with a “I” can be used in the year one banner, while those with a “II” can be used in the year two banner. Like previous Hero Fest banners, the starting appearance rate for 5-star Focus Heroes is 5%.
With this post, I’ll hopefully be covering all the new features within Heroes introduced with version 3.0.0 that wasn’t covered fully or at all within the recent Feh Channel: Special Book III Edition.
A quick summary of everything related to v3.0.0:
- Book III of the story has begun
- Unlock free 5-star Mythic Hero Eir: Merciful Death
- Hero Fest banner: featuring Eir, Ophelia, Owain, and Lewyn
- Mythic Heroes and Mythic Effects have been added
- First Summon Tickets have been added

The Fire Emblem Heroes 1st Anniversary has arrived! Happy anniversary, Heroes!
Heroes has quite a lot in store for players as part of its anniversary celebration. Two parts of it will be immediately available as soon as you log-in: a one-time Anniversary Present of 50 Orbs and an Anniversary Log-In Bonus! The log-in bonus gives you an additional 2 Orbs each day for a total of 20 Orbs.
The third event gives you a place to potentially spend those Orbs, a new Hero Fest banner! This banner contains 5★ focus units for Sigurd, Nephenee, Brave Ike, and Brave Lyn. Even better, they have a 5% chance to appear!
The final two events are both a bit more long-lasting. The Double EXP & SP event lasts for one week, giving all of your heroes twice as much EXP and SP in battle! It will end on 9 February. We also get Daily Special Maps for 25 days! Each map rewards one Orb for both difficulties for a total of 50 Orbs. You have one week to play each map.
You may remember when you first began playing Heroes that there was a “Shards & Crystals” quest that rewarded players for completing various story chapters. Those quests were valid for one year, so they have now ended. Instead of being simply renewed or removed, these quests have been replaced with another yearly quest: Tutorial Quests.
Just like the original, these new Tutorial Quests reward you for completely various story chapters. You can also earn prizes for competing in the Arena and the Training Tower. The rewards have been updated to include additional prizes, such as new Sacred Seals, Stamina Potions, Badges, and even a couple Orbs! Check out the full list below.
The second Hero Fest has begun in Fire Emblem Heroes! The latest banner features 5★ versions of some very popular and useful heroes: Ike, Ninian, Julia, and Genny. Even better, the base rate to summon a 5★ unit in this banner is a whopping 5%!
The occasion for this banner is the Starter Support Event, to help newcomers get a good start in the game. Another newbie-friendly update is the Beginners Guide, which goes over the basics of Heroes gameplay. You can access it via the official site as linked above, or within the game itself.
We also get a new Starter Support Log-In Bonus! Since the Anniversary Log-In Bonus is still going on, this means we get four free Orbs each day for the duration of the bonus. So, you’ll have plenty of Orbs available to spend on the new banner!
The Hero Fest banner will be available for a bit over a week, ending on 18 August at 6:59am UTC. The Log-In Bonus will stick around a bit longer, ending on 25 August.
