Heroes: New Year’s Special Heroes & Celebrations Aplenty!

Happy New Year! We hope 2020 treats you well! Currently, there’s a party going on in Fire Emblem Heroes.

The main highlight is the arrival of the “Renewed Spirit” banner, which brings us New Year’s versions of Alfonse (and Sharena), Anna, Selkie and Lethe. This is accompanied by a new set of Paralogue maps and corresponding quests.

To assist Summoners, there’s a log-in bonus that awards up to 13 Orbs by logging in for 10 days. On top of that, there’s another log-in bonus that gives up to 5 First Summon Tickets for the “Renewed Spirit” banner.

In addition to the new banner, the New Year’s banners from the previous 2 years are making a re-appearance. As a reminder, the Special Heroes from Year 1 include Takumi, Camilla and Azura, while the Year 2 ones are Laevatein, Gunnthra, Hrid and Fjorm.

To encourage Summoners, there are “New Year!” quests where you can obtain 5 First Summon Tickets for each of these banners (for a total of 10 tickets). Plus, if you like decorating, there are Aether Raids quests that yield currency to build a Year’s Entry Decor, Red Wood Lantern and Year’s Festival Gate.

Heroes: Special Heroes Will Ring in the New Year in “Renewed Spirit” Summoning Event!

If you’re curious about this year’s New Year’s Special Heroes, you don’t have to wait any longer! Nintendo has just dropped a new trailer for the Renewed Spirit summoning event, which starts on 1st January 2020 (UTC).

The Heroes in the summoning event are Anna (who finally gets an alt!), Selkie, Lethe and Duo Alfonse and Sharena. In addition, Eir will be available in the next Tempest Trials+ event. For a text breakdown, please check the end of this article.

Furthermore, Nintendo has shared a video from the Nintendo Treehouse team, highlighting these new Heroes. Also, the “Meet some of the Heroes” page has been updated with all five Heroes as well.

Unless I missed it, it seems they skipped the usual silhouette phase. Perhaps because of the recent data-mine?

Heroes New Year’s Celebration! Banners, Tempest Trials, Quests, & More!

Hope you’re having a Happy New Year, Fire Emblem fans! Fire Emblem Heroes is also ringing in the new year with an extensive New Year’s Celebration. Some of these events have already been announced, but others are brand new. Let’s take a look at what’s in store!

Summoners can spend their Orbs on two New Year’s themed banners: New Year’s of Fire and Ice and Happy New Year!. The first contains the special New Year characters revealed earlier this week: Laevateinn, Gunnthrá, Hríd, and Fjorm. Check out our earlier article for a trailer and more details for these heroes.

The latter banner is, as expected, a rerun of last year’s New Year banner. You can try your hand at summoning Takumi, Camilla, and Azura here. These heroes will be appearing in the upcoming Voting Gauntlet. Both banners will be around for a full month, ending on 1 February.

To make sure you can summon some of these characters, Heroes will be providing lots of quests and bonuses! Right off the bat, all players will be getting New Year’s Summon Tickets as well as a New Year’s Log-In Bonus! You can spend those tickets on the Fire and Ice banner. We’ll be getting a total of five of them over the next few days.

Furthermore, you can earn some additional Orbs playing the latest Paralogue! New Year’s Wish is three chapters long, and also features Lunatic difficulty quests. Earn up to 12 Orbs by completing everything, and you’ll also get to see our newest New Year’s heroes in action.

Those new heroes will be useful for the latest Tempest Trials+: An Alliance of Princesses, which also starts today! Check out our earlier article with full details, or hop on in and start battling. As usual, the Trials and their associated Daily Quests will be around for 10 days, ending on 11 January.

Heroes: Voting Gauntlet: Winter Festival vs. New Year’s + New Year’s Event and January Quests!

Happy New Year from Fire Emblem Heroes! Heroes is ready to ring in the new year beginning with some new quests and events, including the latest Voting Gauntlet: Winter Festival vs. New Year’s.

This latest Gauntlet pits Tharja, M!Robin, Chrom, and Lissa from the Winter’s Envoy banner against Camilla, Azura, and Takumi from the current Happy New Year! banner. Since the New Years version of M!Corrin is not yet available, Ryoma takes the final slot on the New Year’s side. May the best hero win!

Each round of the Gauntlet lasts a little under two days, ending three hours before the daily reset. As usual each round also brings new quests for you to earn up Battle Flags, Orbs, and other rewards. The final round will end at 3:59am UTC on 7 January.

Additionally, Heroes also has a full New Year’s Event in store for players!

The first part of the event will be immediately noticeable when you load up the game: a new Log-In Bonus! Earn two Orbs per day for ten days just for signing in. We also get three days of Special New Year’s Maps. Beat both daily maps for three Orbs a piece, up to a total of 18 Orbs! Each map will be available for one week.

Finally, we also get New Year’s Daily Quests. The current day’s quests give out a Stamina Potion for KOing a single foe and 1 Orb for completing a single battle in Arena Assault. Quests may change daily or they may repeat, so make sure to check back. These daily quests will repeat each day until 8 January.

Speaking of quests, the January Monthly Quests are now also available! These quests follow the same pattern as previous monthly quests as expected.

With all of this excitement, don’t forget we also have a Tempest Trials going on! It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Fire Emblem Heroes player.
