Fire Emblem Cipher Series 13 Release!

Today, 28 June, is the official release day for Fire Emblem Cipher Series 13! The set titled Flame, Steel, Thought and Grief is now available in card shops around Japan.

S13 features cards and characters from Blazing Sword, Shadow Dragon, and Heroes. It also contains a new Structured Deck featuring more FE7 characters. Scroll on below for a look at the available cards and related promos!

Cipher Spring 2018 Livesteam: New S13 Cards + S14 & S15 Announcements!

This past Saturday, the Fire Emblem Cipher team held the Cipher Spring 2018 Livesteam live over NicoNico! Before the stream started, @fecipher shared this artwork of Marth and Caeda as a teaser:

Ryota Kawade and Young hosted the presentation, joined by frequent guest Eri Suzuki (voice actress for Soleil, Delthea, and Emma). The main focus of the stream was to cover new cards for the upcoming Cipher Series 13, “Flame, Steel, Thought, and Grief“. S13 will release in Japan on 28 June, and daily card reveals just started the week before.

Europe: April Fire Emblem eShop Sale

In less than two months, Fire Emblem Fates will be finally arriving in Europe.

If you still need to catch up with the series, you’ve come at the perfect time as Nintendo of Europe is holding a massive Fire Emblem sale on the eShop from 31st March to 14th April 2016.

Not only are the games discounted, but for the first time since release, all of Fire Emblem Awakening‘s downloadable content has been reduced in price as well. Perfect if you haven’t dipped in or if you’re missing some bits or pieces.

Making of Shadow Dragon (NES)

The Making of Fire Emblem released in December, while far from perfect, was a treat for hardcore Fire Emblem fans, featuring many previously unknown development materials and secrets.

Of note, the 351-page book finally solved the mystery of Fire Emblem 64 and even revealed a never-seen-before Fire Emblem prototype for the Wii.

However that’s just the tip of the iceberg; in the coming weeks, I’ll be providing an in-depth look at many other exciting sections from the book in collaboration with Kirokan from Kantopia.

To get things rolling, it makes the most sense to begin with the game that started it all: the Famicom/NES version of Shadow Dragon (and the Blade of Light).
