Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 7

Welcome to another relaxing Sunday article, where we’ll cover the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website. Last month, we listed the schedule from 27th May to 30th June.

This time, we have 7 week’s worth of data. The selection of games is pretty solid as well, with reps from Archanea, Jugdral, Elibe, Magvel, Ylisse and wherever the heck Fates takes place. Three Houses will be released during this time period, but it’s unlikely the game will be featured until August, at the earliest.

1st – 7th July: The Sacred Stones

Featured song: Follow Me!

Leading July is L’Arachel and her two cronies. After that, we have the Christmas Cavaliers, then the Caer Pelyn duo.

Cipher: Spring 2019 Livestream (S17 reveals, S18 artwork and S19 titles) & Twitter Reveals

On 25th May, the Fire Emblem Cipher team held their Spring 2019 livestream–the second seasonal one of the year. The hosts were Ryota Kawade, Young, and Eri Suzuki.

Note: Images were taken from @kizuna_fecipher.

The main agenda was to discuss the upcoming Series 17: “The Advance of All Heroes”. This series breaks the usual trends of featuring a small number of factions by including not just every faction but every single game title.

Above is the official list of featured games. I won’t bother naming them all, but it’s all the mainline games from the first up to Echoes and including Heroes and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. Unless I missed it, Warriors is not advertised, despite having cards in the past.

Besides that, the original Cipher mascots will make an appearance in Series 17 too. Above are Emma and Shade, the first pair of mascots, in the Falcon Knight and Dark Sage classes respectively.

Also, although Three Houses isn’t a featured title (because it’s a bit too new by the time the Series 17 releases), there will be cards for it, in the form of booster box “preview” promos. It seems everyone will get 2 of the 4 cards per box.

Thracia 776: Novel by Takashi Umemura Fully Translated!

In the past, there have been a fair number of Fire Emblem manga translations, but next to no translations of the myriad novelisations. Of course, there’s a lot more text in the novels, so it’s hardly surprising.

Recently, four-loose-screws aka “Literal Fire Emblem” (but not actually literal, don’t worry) on tumblr has finished their translation of the Thracia 776 novel by Takashi Umemura. As far as I know, this is one of two novels based on the game.

You can read the translation over on their blog. Altogether there are 12 chapters (excluding the Prologue and Epilogue) split between two books. You can read the translation in its entirety via the Google Drive link near the top or in parts via the multiple tumblr links.

Now that this particular translation is over, four-loose-screws is asking fans to vote for the next Fire Emblem novel to be translated. Hmm, choices, choices…

Fire Emblem Cipher Festival 2019: Merchandise + Thracia Art Exhibition

Back in April, the Fire Emblem Cipher team shared most of the details for the upcoming Fire Emblem Cipher Festival 2019 events, to be held in Japan during June. Recently, they updated their webpage with a few more details.

Firstly, the merchandise listing has been expanded, beyond the single picture and simple list from before. There are now better pictures of all the products, plus a proper look at the crazy expensive A3 acrylic card. You can find the information in English further down this article.

Additionally, by popular demand, the Thracia 776 art exhibition that featured at Fire Emblem Expo earlier this month will be making a comeback at the Cipher Festival events. The exhibition showcased all the known official artworks plus some artwork from the ending sequence.
