Heroes: Version 5.3.0 Out Now! Details on Refines & New Divine Codes!

As scheduled, the Version 5.3.0 update for Fire Emblem Heroes can now be downloaded.

Most of the information was revealed via the in-game notifications and Twitter, but we didn’t know the full details about the new weapon refines and Heroes that can be compiled using Divine Codes (Part 2).

Weapon Refines

Firstly, before any Lyon fans get too excited, there’s an error in the description of his refined weapon, Naglfar. Basically, it’s supposed to have a Quick Riposte effect.

Ivaldi – Grants Def +3. At start of combat, if foe’s HP >= 75%, grants Atk/Spd/Res +3 to unit during combat.
Special refine – At start of combat, if foe’s HP >= 75%, inflicts Atk/Res -5 on foe during combat and restores 7 HP to unit after combat.

Ayra’s Blade – Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count -1). Grants Atk/Spd +3. During combat, neutralizes effects that grant “Special cooldown charge +X” to foe or inflict “Special cooldown charge -X” on unit.
Special refine – At start of combat, if foe’s HP >= 75%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +4 during combat and reduces damage from foe’s attack by 20%.

Mjolnir – Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count -1). If unit initiates combat or is not adjacent to an ally, grants Spd +6 during combat.
Special refine – If unit initiates combat or is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd +5 during combat and neutralizes effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks.

Naglfar – Grants weapon-triangle advantage against colorless foes, and inflicts weapon-triangle disadvantage on colorless foes during combat.
Special refine – At start of combat, if unit’s HP >= 50%, inflicts Atk/Res -4 on foe during combat, and if unit’s HP >= 70% and foe initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack.

Grimoire – Unit can move to a space within 2 spaces of any ally within 2 spaces. If unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd +4 during combat.
Special refine – Inflicts Atk/Spd/Res -4 on foes within 3 spaces during combat.

Heroes: Version 4.9.0 Now Live & “Dancing Affinity” Tempest Trials Incoming!

Summoners, if you haven’t done so already, you can now grab the Version 4.9.0 update for Fire Emblem Heroes.

The main attraction is the addition of Trait Fruits, which allow you to adjust a Hero’s Asset (boosted stat) and Flaw (decreased stat).

Right now, it’ll be a while before there are enough fruits to do so. But if you wait until 15th September (UTC), there will be one-time Frontline Phalanx quests that yield enough fruits for one Hero.

Perhaps equally exciting, the four Brave Heroes from the 2nd round of Choose Your Legends have received new weapon refinery upgrades for their existing weapons. Please continue to the end for the details.

Starting on 8th September (UTC) and running until the 18th is a new Tempest Trials+ event, Dancing Affinity. The top prizes include copies of Eldigan: Strutting Lion and the Res Feint 1 and Armor March 1 Sacred Seals.

The bonus Heroes for the event are the new Special Heroes from To Stay Dreaming, which also opens on 8th September: Dancer versions of Sigurd, Quan, Ethlyn and Lachesis. Plus Dancer Eldigan from the event and the regular versions of Sigurd, Deirdre and Eldigan. The latter three are available in a Tempest Trials banner.

Heroes: Version 4.9.0 Details & Brave vs. Fallen Voting Gauntlet

It’s the start of another new month and we have fresh details of the next version update coming to FE Heroes. Some of the new additions were already outlined in last month’s second Feh Channel.

Frontline Phalanx

This is a new type of event, the first of which will begin on 15th September 2020 (UTC). Summoners can distribute “Forces” to support one of four Heroes. The more forces a Hero has, the more points you can earn if the attack is a success, but the lower the chance of success. So there’s a big risk-reward factor.

Trait Fruit

This is the game-changing feature many of us wanted, but weren’t sure if we’d ever get. Starting from 8th September (UTC), Trait Fruit will begin appearing as rewards in Arena, Resonant Battles, Mjolnir’s Strike and Forging Bonds.

For every 100 Trait Fruits obtained, you can freely select a Hero’s Asset and Flaw (increased and decreased stat respectively). Previously, you could negate a Flaw by merging a Hero, but now you can even manipulate the Asset! Furthermore, you can earn 100 fruits by completing limited Frontline Phalanx quests.

Heroes: Resplendent Eirika Incoming, “Pirate’s Pride” and Version 4.8.0 Now Available and Tempest Trials Details!

No, you’re not dreaming. The Resplendent Hero arriving on 25th August 2020 will be Eirika: Restoration Lady.

This version of Eirika is wearing fanciful attire from … *grabs FEH spellchecker* Ljósálfheimr, one of the two realms in Book IV. Check out her page here. Before Eirika, Resplendent Olwen will be available from 10th August.

Moving back to the present, pirates have invaded Fire Emblem Heroes. Pirate versions of Brigid, Tibarn, Geese and Harmonized Veronica (and Xander) are up for grabs. Or maybe they’ll run off with your Orbs, like they did mine.

These Special Heroes were revealed in the recent Feh Channel. For details of their abilities, please carry on to the end of this article.

Nintendo also shared a cute video of Veronica and Xander gearing up for the pirate festival.
