Avatar: Hmmm...
Shigure: AGH! By bellberry's bones, Avatar! You startled me.
Avatar: Ah, I'm sorry. Did I scare you?
Shigure: No, no, it's all right. I just wasn't expecting you. Especially not so...close.
Avatar: Right, sorry about that. I was just trying to see what you were writing. In my defense, I did call your name first...
Shigure: You did? My apologies. I must not have heard. Sometimes when I draw, I get sucked into my own little world.
Avatar: Oh, so you were drawing! Can I see?
Shigure: Oh, certainly. It's nothing special, though. I was just drawing the view from here.
Avatar: Elfire, you're good at this! It looks like it was done by a professional!
Shigure: You really think so?
Avatar: I do. It looks like the beginnings of a masterwork. I never knew you were so talented, Shigure.
Shigure: Well, I spent a lot of time alone, growing up. Plenty of opportunity to draw. It wasn't any uncommon drive that made me draw, so much as my circumstances.
Avatar: You give yourself too little credit. If anything, being self-taught makes your achievement all the more impressive.
Shigure: That's very kind of you. You know...if you'd like, I have other works you could see.
Avatar: Really? Yes, I'd love to!
Shigure: Very well. Just give me some time to organize, and I'll show them to you.

Shigure: Avatar! I brought some of my pictures for you today.
Avatar: Thank you! I've been waiting for this. My gods...these are all as good as, if not better than, the one I saw the other day! Is this one Azura?
Shigure: It is.
Avatar: And this one... Is this a drawing of the Deeprealm you grew up in?
Shigure: Right again!
Avatar: Hm...
Shigure: And this...is a picture of the people who acted as my guardians while I lived there.
Avatar: They all look so kind.
Shigure: They were. I know I'll never see them again...but this picture helps ease the pain. When I look at it, I remember things about each and every one of them.
Avatar: It must be very important to you.
Shigure: Yes. It is one of my most prized possessions.
Avatar: Looking at all these...it seems you prefer to draw real places and people, from sight.
Shigure: Yes, typically, however I do draw different things from time to time.
Avatar: Like what?
Shigure: In particular, I find myself drawing many pictures of a place I've never seen. I close my eyes, then draw, and repeat. Eventually, I have a finished work.
Avatar: Oh? That's interesting. And it just comes to you? You must have a good imagination.
Shigure: It's not quite like that. I don't think I'm imagining it, per se. It's more like I can remember those images. Just like anywhere else I've been.
Avatar: Now I'm really curious. Could you show me those pictures sometime?
Shigure: Certainly. I'll bring some by soon.

Avatar: Ah, you mean the ones of the place you see in your dreams? Hm...this is...
Shigure: Very curious, right?
Avatar: Yes. It's so...abstract. It looks as though everything's...floating. What strange shapes.
Shigure: Yes. It's nothing like Hoshido or Nohr, or even the world where our castle is. Yet I can clearly picture this scenery in my head, even now.
Avatar: Perhaps it is a vision of some kind. Or memories passed on to you from Azura.
Shigure: My mother?
Avatar: Yes. Such things are not unheard of.
Shigure: Normally I'd laugh at that sort of thing... but I suppose it's possible.
Avatar: Well, whatever the source, I feel these must be very special. May I continue to see these drawings as you make more?
Shigure: Of course. When I've finished the next one, you'll be the first one I'll show it to!
