Cipher S20 Weekly Recap: Daily Reveals & Livestream Reminder!

Welcome to a new installment of our weekly recap series of Series 20 of Fire Emblem Cipher, the Japanese trading card game. Launching as a new booster dubbed The Guiding Hand of Dawn, this set features characters from FatesPath of Radiance, and Radiant Dawn.

In the weeks leading up to its March 19th release, the official Twitter account, @FEcipher, is revealing the latest cards each weekday, and we’ll be looking over them together as an overview of what’s to come!

The first day introduced a new card of Reyson, the heron prince and another Rare card for the set. If you observe closely enough, you can see that this card is based on a moment during Part 3 Endgame of Radiant Dawn.

Next, we got a look at new cards of male and female Kana, both additional Rare cards which can be found in this booster. As Nohr and Hoshido Nobles, they’re joined by Siegbert, Forrest, Shiro, and Kiragi in this representation of the Heirs of Fate saga.

Following that, we were shown a new card of Yune herself, revealed to be a Super Rare card. Despite making various appearances within Cipher, this is in fact her first-ever booster card of her very own. What a great entrance!

Afterwards, new cards of Silas were revealed. His deep devotion to Corrin emerges at long last in Cipher with his own Super Rare card! And with this, we’ve now seen every Fates SR revealed for this set.

Lastly, Ike and Micaiah were showcased as the traditional joined-art Super Rare Plus cards of the set! Joined by one cause transcending nation and race, they stand at the threshold of a new era for Tellius.

The time draws near. Catch the next episode of FE Cipher’s two-hour livestream program on Saturday, March 14th at 4:00AM Pacific for more news on the TCG via YouTube or NicoNico.

Here’s where Cipher producer Ryota Kawade and Kubocchan from Intelligent Systems will be sharing more updates, together with Juri Kimura (voice of Yuzu from Cipher and Nyx and Mozu from Fates) and Hisako Kanemoto (voice of Sakura from Fates). Look forward to our report after the show!

Before we go, here’s one last note to end on.

Earlier this week, Intelligent Systems announced that the first venue of the 2020 national qualifiers second half, a series of organized tourneys for the annual national cup later in the year, has been delayed in the city of Fukuoka from April 18th to May 30th in light of public health concerns. This includes the associated Quest Battle Party event which would have been held the same day.

By proxy of this delay, it also means that the exclusive promo cards of Peony and Triandra (and a special Peony can badge) won’t see circulation until April 26th at the earliest, assuming plans stay on track. Intelligent Systems will continue to share any additional updates regarding event statuses as necessary on the official site.

That’s all for this week’s recap! It won’t be long before you hear from us again, as we’ll soon be covering this weekend’s livestream, later followed by commemorating the release of the set next week.

Feel free to visit our forums to talk about Cipher if you have any questions or are looking to share your love for the card game!
