Heroes: Grand Hero Battle: Takumi: Empty Vessel is Now Available!

Another new Grand Hero Battle is now available in Fire Emblem Heroes! When you’re ready, head over to Grand Hero Battle: Takumi: Empty Vessel in the Special Maps menu.

You can challenge Takumi in three different difficulties: Hard, Lunatic, and Infernal. Complete all three maps to earn up to three copies of Takumi, one 3★ and two 4★. Infernal also grants you an additional 2,000 Hero Feathers! Here’s a look at Takumi’s map, as well as his stats and skills. This information is based on the Infernal version of the map.

Grand Hero Battle: Takumi: Empty Vessel will be available for a little under two weeks, ending on 8 March.

Two tacos = 20 damage at the beginning of the enemy’s third turn. Ouch

    • Joke was on him, I run Renewal on everyone!

      • speedster

Imagine if there were 4 Skadis in a team. That’d be insane.

        • Zog58

Well, you can have 3 as of now. That would be a horrifying arena team to fight on the lava map or the map where everyone starts behind the breakable walls…

  • Diovani Estivalet

Maybe in the future I will make Fallen Takumi a 5-stars unit, but I am not planning to use his bow (Skadi) Maybe a Guard Bow.

Whoever wrote his special lines must be a HUGE fan of Overwatch’s Reaper.

Okay, this is the Grand Hero Battle that I can never beat! Enemy reinforcements?! 20 damage on my team for Evil Takumi’s third turn?! 2 Anti-cavalry terrains?! This is beyond BULLCRAP!! I can’t stand watching these players beating Infernal mode with Skill Inheritance! Isn’t there anyone playing this game who beat Infernal mode without Skill Inheritance?!

    • speedster

Brotel made a guide for F2P units. BTW, it’s not bullcrap if developers don’t want players to abuse horse emblem and want to give them a challenge

      • O.H. X-1990

No, Brotel made an F2P guide on Lunatic, not Infernal, so that doesn’t count! I know the Grand Hero Battles are meant to be difficult, but this Grand Hero Battle with Evil Takumi?! This is ridiculous! It pisses me off when they cleared this Grand Hero Battle easily, with their Skill Inheritance and powerful singers like any Azura! It’s not fair! How can they get any Azura to beat this Grand Hero Battle WHEN I DON’T?!

        • speedster

Apologies for the misinformation. But your complaint about not having Azura is extremely childish and naive. I see more Olivias used than Azuras. Don’t act like you’re entitled to be a victim because the world has wronged you if you don’t get that one unit. Use Olivia with hones, spurs or drives (if you want the full package from her prf then have other units also use stat supporting skills). Olivia is a superior dancer because of her easy availability for merges that benefit your Arena score. Did I mention her having access to Wo Dao? And if that doesn’t work then put your device for playing Heroes down for a few days and chill out doing something you enjoy. And when you come back you’ll get Takumi Infernal guide from Phoenixmaster. Omni H is someone whose example you should follow. He uses a death blow brave bow desperation BA Setsuna for every new GHB infernal mode. Its sort of a meme for him. If you also have 3 Olivia’s then you’re set for life.

          • Diovani Estivalet

            Well said, my friend.

    • Diovani Estivalet

Did you get Fallen Takumi from Hard and/or Lunatic?

      • O.H. X-1990

Yes. But I need those Hero Feathers, and yet I get pissed off just looking at those obnoxious Skill Inheriters and Azura users beating this GHB at ease!

        • Kneekicker

In what way are SI-users obnoxious? SI exists to be used and the people who choose to forgo it are usually challenge seekers. Hero Feathers are abundant so long as you regularly summon Heroes.

          • O.H. X-1990

No, those SI-users are obnoxious because they keep clearing the Grand Hero Battles very easily just to make me look bad! That’s right, they did that just to piss me off! Isn’t there anyone on YouTube who beat this God forsaken GHB without Skill Inheritance?!

          • Kneekicker

I’m sorry, but that’s a pretty immature opinion and it’s frankly quite rude to plenty of people. Games with gacha systems will always have players that are more disadvantaged than others as a result of both luck and money spent, and the Fire Emblem franchise itself has always valued strategy and tactics as a prominent part of gameplay. Heroes is no different in that regard.

If you don’t possess highly functional units like any of the Azuras, you should instead be looking towards your team to search for others which can plug in the gap. The very nature of gacha games means no players barring the most diligent whales will ever own every character, so part of the fun of conquering challenges for most people are to figure out exactly which team combinations are up for the task. Many generous souls out their even document their tactics in the form of guides for both SI users and non-users, but they too must first persevere through the challenge first using their wits.

There’s also no shame in simply folding your hand for the time being, since there are most definitely cases where people truly lack the resources to finish difficult challenges (as seen with the initial GHBs for Xander and Valter). Another thing gacha games are known for are the frequency of reran events, so another option for you is to prepare yourself for the next appearance of this GHB, whenever it may be.

What absolutely isn’t acceptable though, is rudeness towards players more advantageous than you. Being blessed with more fortune or being more willing to spend money doesn’t make them any less of a fan of the game than you, and their advantageous position is merely a byproduct of the support they give for the game; some people definitely do brag about their whaling spoils, but typically it isn’t ever aimed at demeaning F2P players or “pissing them off”.

Normally I’d be happy to share some insight and ideas for the challenge, but honestly, I’m tired of seeing you throw a fit here every single time something isn’t to your liking. If you have frustrations, you can voice them in a decent and civil manner and try to do something with it, but here, you’re expressing yourself like a whiny child. If you don’t want to use Skill Inheritance, that’s your own choice, but don’t try to enforce your arbitrary standards onto others and then attacking them when they don’t abide by them, when they are simply using the tools that the game provides. Skill Inheritance exists to be used and the game is designed to expect players to use it, especially in the toughest challenges and you need to accept that. If you want to deliberately gimp yourself by neglecting options that are very much open to you for one reason or another, you’re free to do so, but don’t go throwing a fit every time that restriction is hindering you in your attempts to clear the game’s content.

  • I failed like twice before I realised that slowly pushing my Sheema down the right flank would let her block the movement of the green mage while countering anyone that attacks her. On the left side I kept Tana to tank and lure the armorslayer away from Sheema. My last two slots was Linde with WoM to heal, and Ninian to dance her away from danger after healing.
