“Fire Emblem World”: Daily Characters + Weekly Songs Round 2

Just a very minor update. If you recall, the Japanese Fire Emblem World website had a big makeover near the end of 2018.

One of the cool things about the new website is that the front page frequently changes. Every day, there’s a different character–from that week’s featured Fire Emblem game. Likewise, a different song plays every week (also matching the featured game).

Last time, we already covered the character and song schedule from 7th January to 27th January 2019. However, what about tomorrow?

Worry not, because the internal schedule was recently updated for 4 more weeks. Although if you read our previous article, you shouldn’t be surprised by the choices. Anyway…

For the week starting 28th January 2019, expect Ike, Titania, Greil, Mist, Black Knight, Sanaki and Soren from Path of Radiance. The featured song will be Victory is Near. Of note, the front page theme will change from white to black.

(The other games that use the black theme include Shadow Dragon and Blade of Light, Gaiden, Shadow Dragon, Radiant Dawn and Heroes. Three Houses appears to use the white theme.)

The week after, look forward to Micaiah, Sothe, Laura, Edward, Leonardo, Zelgius and Pelleas from Radiant Dawn. The song this time will be Eternal Bond. A pretty safe choice, really.

After that, it’s a week of Heroes. Featuring Alfonse, Sharena, Anna, Veronica, Fjorm, Gunnthrá and Mysterious Man (Bruno). The song will be Gear Up For…, which recently got a remix in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

(At the time of writing, if viewing the PC website, Fjorm and Gunnthrá’s artworks are switched around. Hopefully somebody will notice before 15th February arrives…)

Finally (for now), from 18th February, older fans may appreciate Lyn, Kent, Sain, Ninian, Nils, Nino and Jaffar from Blazing Blade. Can you guess the song? Yup, it’s Winds Across the Plains.

Disclaimer: The schedule may change without warning.

Week 8 is a big question mark right now. But we do know there are assets for Genealogy of the Holy War and Shadows of Valentia ready to go live since day 1. So those might be next in the line.

Regardless, we’ll continue to keep tabs on the website, just in case anything interesting turns up.
