Fire Emblem Engage: Bunet & Dining Tidbits

Note: This is a backdated article.

Mmm, I’ll feeling peckish all of a sudden. Today’s daily Fire Emblem Engage content includes Bunet’s profile and a recap of dining at the Somniel.

Here’s the starter:

Bunet (VA: Tomohiru Ono) is a royal chef from Solm, and Fogado’s retainer. A research fanatic who operates on his own wavelength. He’s always on the hunt for new ingredients.

A side dish:

The battle occurs at the desert shoals map, seen in “Engaging with Emblems”.

Bunet is a Level 1 Great Knight with a Silver Axe, Steel Axe, Tomahawk, Iron Blade and Poleax.

Allies include Goldmary (sword), Timerra (lance), Fogado (bow cavalry), Hortensia (tome/dual staff), Alear (sword), Céline (sword) and Seadall (body arts). His foe is an Elusian with a Silver Lance. Along the top are a pair of enemy tome cavalry units.

The nearby foe on the fort is a lance and dual staff cavalry, similar to a certain Hound. Oh yeah, the Griffin Knight foe below Céline can use sword and staff.

Now for the main course:

Fogado: Mmm, so good! This grilled fish is so firm and juicy!

Bunet: If you sprinkle some salt on the fish before grilling… it removes the excess water and increases the meat’s elasticity.

Fogado: You put a lot of time and effort into this. Your cooking is simply the best, Bunet.

Bunet: Well, I’m not only your retainer, but also your personal chef…

Bunet: It’s my duty to fully grasp my liege’s tastes… and create dishes that will please him.

Fogado: Thanks. I’m truly a lucky guy.

Fogado: But y’know, there is one thing that’s missing~

Bunet: gasp What? But I thought the seasoning was perfect…

Got space for dessert?

At the Somniel, you can ask the chef to prepare a dish and eat it with your allies. If the dish is good, your allies will receive a stat boost during the next battle. Also, the support values of the allies you invite will increase

Amber the alpaca hero is on cooking duty today.

The player decides to cook some Goat’s Cheese. Amber shows exceptional skill with this dish, plus Chloé and Céline both seem to like it.

While choosing the dining partners, you can see that Chloé doesn’t support Diamant, Alcryst or Vander.

Ta-da, the dish is a success!

Afterwards, all characters gain Spd +2 during the next fight, while Brodians gain an extra Mag +1.

Finally, why not take some home?

If the dish turns out good, you may receive a bento (rice box) afterwards. You can consume these during battles to restore HP. Aim to improve your cooking, so you can enjoy some homemade bentos.

In some earlier footage, there was a character with Seadall’s Bento in their inventory. So that’s where it came from.
