Heroes: Pegasus Sister Quests & Zephiel Grand Hero Battle Info!

Fire Emblem Heroes is commemorating tomorrow’s official release of Fire Emblem Echoes with some gifts and quests for its players!

All players will receive a special, one-time login bonus of 5 orbs, and a new mission entitled “Pegasus Sisters” is now available. Completing the first three quests give players 3★ versions of Palla, Catria, and Est. Those units can then be used in battle to earn up to 6 additional orbs! The new quests are valid through 7.59 AM UTC on May 8th.

Additionally, the @FE_Heroes_JP twitter account revealed that Zephiel’s Grand Hero Battle will begin tomorrow! Like in other recent GHB’s, Zephiel will be available as both a 3★ and 4★ Hero, though the latter requires completing a fiendishly difficult Lunatic difficulty map.

The twitter account also shared a glimpse of the map itself, so you can begin to plan out how you might tackle it. Zephiel himself comes equipped with Eckesachs, Reprisal, Life and Death 3, and Wary Fighter 3.

Presumably, a new Fighting Zephiel banner will also be available starting tomorrow. As it has not yet been datamined, however, we do not yet know which focus units will be included.

Nice, didn’t have Catria yet, and she seems rather decent (and if not, Luna is good for inheritance). I also don’t mind having another Moonbow from Palla to distribute. Est sadly doesn’t seem to come with much of anything particularly exciting…

Zephiel. That’s… a lot of HP. 78? Sheesh. And with Wary Fighter… sounds like a pain. Having said that, the map itself doesn’t look too complicated. Bait out the mages first with high Res units (with the proper positioning, I think you can do so while still staying out of reach of the armours) and kill them ASAP, then pelt the knights with strong mages. But it’s gonna depend a lot on the details.

I got a +Attack Est a while ago and gave her a Sapphire Lance and Swordbreaker. She now absolutely decimates any swordusers (and most reds in general) and is a decent Res tank to boot.

      • Laggalot

But… any unit with Sapphire Lance + Sword Breaker or a similar combo accomplishes that. I feel like other units could likely do that better.

        • Stranger

Oh, I’m not saying that she does that any better than other lancers- just that with the proper set-up, she’s surprisingly viable. At 4 stars and +Attack, she sports 36 base attack. At 5 star, she’s on par with Ephraim. Her speed is decent, she has good res, and she has flier mobility.

Basically, I’ve been filling the time just trying out bottom-tier characters to see how good I can make them. Did a few deathless runs in Arena with this Est. Currently working on a Hinata and Beruka.

Honestly… the map looks easy? A mage killer, a powerfull mage, a hero with a weapon strong against armored units and a dancer. This will be my team. Maybe two mages…

  • Diovani Estivalet

In the screenshot, we can see he is a 5-Stars Lv 40 Armored unit, with HP 78, ATK 57, SPD 21, DEF 34 and RES 20.
And Zephiel himself comes equipped with:
Eckesachs (Mt 16, Rg 1): Inflicts Def-4 on foes within 2 spaces through their next actions at the start of each turn.
Reprisal: Grants bonus to damage dealt equal to 30% of damage suffered.
Life and Death 3: Grants Atk/Spd+5. Inflicts Def/Res-5.
Wary Fighter 3: Prevents follow-up attacks in combat from unit and foes if unit’s HP ≥ 50%.
Honestly, he looks to be a good unit.I do not have many armored units, so he is welcome in my team.

Zephiel will have 78 HP?! OH, HELL NO! This is just another Lunatic Grand Hero Battle that I can never beat! I could beat him on Hard mode, but there’s no way in hell I would even try to beat Lunatic mode, absolutely not!

    • Diovani Estivalet

Well… as a enemy in 9-2 Lunatic, Zephiel have 57 HP.

      • O.H. X-1990

Pfft, that’s nothing. This Zephiel on Grand Hero Battle has got to be the hardest one to beat, and with only 78 HP and the most powerful skills in the entire game, now that’s tough, even tougher than that Masked Man, Xander, and Veronica.

        • Laggalot

I don’t know what you have trained up, but from what I’ve seen, dancers and skills like draw back and drag back are exceptionally abusable here, in combination with a decent magic user or two. Remember, Armour Knights only have a movement range of 1, and combined with a lack of a ranged (counter)attack, that’s a fairly exploitable weakness. If you need any inspiration, I’ve already found a couple of videos on youtube, tackling the GHB with a team of F2P 3* units. If you’ve trained any decent magic units at all, you’ve probably got a decent shot at this one.

  • Jose

Ah hell. I can handle the Hard one just fine but Lunatic’s a dang nightmare. I’ll past. As for the Pegasus sisters, I can grind and train them so they can handle it all while making them four stars… unless I have four stars already.

  • Kotg Everest

Maybe we could kill the blue mage with F Robin, then push back with someone, and then bait the other mage to finish him off. Probably going to need two tanks, They only have one green unit, so a blue tank is recomended… They also dont have an archer, Fliers can come here with no fear. We should be aware the Armors use brave weapons.

    • Diovani Estivalet

I am thinking to use 2 mages (Ursula and Camilla, or Lucina and Camilla), a dancer and a healer. I will use Camilla to defeat the blue mage, and use my dancer to move Camilla to not get attacked by Zephiel. Then, I will end my turn and wait the enemies move to see what I will do next.

  • CombatMagi

such a focus on fliers as of late is getting to the point I have almost all flyers to the mid 30s. On a similar note who do you think would be the first staff flyer if they ever make one? My money is on Elincia but I guess Sumia could be it too.

    • Laggalot

I feel like our first staff flier will come from a variation on an (at that point) existing unit, just as they did with the Easter units. At that point, units like Elincia and Sumia do indeed seem the most obvious choices, but I think we won’t get staff-wielding versions of them before we get their (more standard) weapon-wielding versions. After all, Sumia starts as a plain old Pegasus Knight, only with access to lances, and Elincia even has a signature weapon in the Amiti.

      • CombatMagi

was debating that especially since of Amiti, but Palla and Caeda both start with swords to diversify them from all the lance pegasus knights and while alternate costumes is a obvious choice to give us a flying healer, I was thinking as a primary. Honestly I’m not sure how many people will get them and what changes the character will have, I definitely didn’t see a blue tome Lucina coming. Here’s hoping to a Urvan wielding Ike tho.

        • Laggalot

They almost have to give us an Urvan-wielding Ike. For one, we’re gonna get an alternate costume Ike. For two, we have both PoR Ike, AND RD Ike, and they’ve gotta diversify them somehow. Might as well stick the Urvan on RD Ike.

  • Gabriel Nascimento

wouldn’t it be funny if the other two armored units had distant counter? *face slap* No, thanks
