Fire Emblem World: Daily Characters & Weekly Songs Round 7

Welcome to another relaxing Sunday article, where we’ll cover the upcoming schedule for the rotating characters and songs on the Japanese Fire Emblem World website. Last month, we listed the schedule from 27th May to 30th June.

This time, we have 7 week’s worth of data. The selection of games is pretty solid as well, with reps from Archanea, Jugdral, Elibe, Magvel, Ylisse and wherever the heck Fates takes place. Three Houses will be released during this time period, but it’s unlikely the game will be featured until August, at the earliest.

1st – 7th July: The Sacred Stones

Featured song: Follow Me!

Leading July is L’Arachel and her two cronies. After that, we have the Christmas Cavaliers, then the Caer Pelyn duo.

8th – 14th July: Awakening

Featured song: Duty (Ablaze)

We have a bunch of early-game recruits, mostly from the Shepherds. But there’s also Lon’qu, hired by Regna Ferox, and the popular Tharja. I think they’re missing a 7th character though.

15th – 21st July: Thracia 776

Featured song: Chapter End ~ Go Leif!

I don’t see much of a pattern here, although I guess most of them appear near the beginning. I’m unsure if this is a coincidence, but the characters are in alphabetical order, except for Raydrick and Lifis. But if you consider that L and R are interchangeable in Japanese, they would be in order. Strange…

22nd – 28th July: Mystery of the Emblem

Featured song: Expedition

There’s not much point looking for a pattern here, since the game doesn’t have much artwork in the first place. Marth and Caeda make a re-appearance, but the others are new (with respect to this game only).

29th July – 4th August: Fates

Featured song: Alight (Storm)

Last time, we had male Corrin and the older siblings, so it makes sense that we’ve got female Corrin and the younger siblings. Azura makes a re-appearance, but so does Felicia for some weird reason. They’ve got artwork for Jakob that they could use as well…

5th – 11th August: Blazing Blade

Featured song: Precious Things

Previously, Lyn and her pals were featured. Now it’s Eliwood and Hector’s turn to shine! They’re joined by the Ilian pegasus sisters (in order of age, I believe), as well as Lloyd and Linus, who are probably chasing after Nino and Jaffar.

12th – 18th August: Shadow Dragon

Featured song: The Time to Act

Despite being a game released in the (sort of) modern era, there isn’t a lot of artwork to choose from. Caeda leads the charge–her file name once again incorrectly spelled as “Sedgar”. It’s been half a year and nobody has noticed?! Horace and Ymir were later drawn by Daisuke Izuka for the old Fire Emblem World site.

As usual, the schedule may change without notice, although I can’t imagine they’d bother doing that.
