Our FE Cipher Japanese Code Giveaway is now officially over! Many thanks to everyone who donated codes or who participated!
Codes were generously provided by the following users: Bernie_man123, wobblinghood, Kirie, DancingDanny, geozeldadude and oh.glory.
Since we had a lot of codes to give away, the giveaway was split into two weekly draws. For the results of the first round (of which there were 6 prizes available), please check this earlier news post.
Meanwhile, the winners of the second round were selected at the very end of August; this time, there were 9 prizes up for grabs. In case you missed it, here’s the list of winners again:
Now that the Caravan Events have come to a close, the Fire Emblem Cipher team has turned its attention to the upcoming Series 6 release. The @fecipher twitter account has been active all week sharing new cards, starting with the Series’ headliner Lords: Sigurd from Genealogy of the Holy War and Xander from Fire Emblem Fates.
Sigurd’s artwork has been shown off a lot in promotional materials, but the card’s official release confirms that this card will be an exclusive to the S6 Structured Deck.
Xander’s card is completely new and it has some interesting text, including a reference to “Face-Up Orbs”. As this is not something that exists in the game’s current state, it is likely hinting at a new game mechanic, possibly related to the Dragon Vein mechanic that was teased in a recent interview with the Cipher producers.
We have a few updates regarding our FE Cipher Japanese Code Giveaway, including the winners of the first round.
Following Bernie_man123, a number of very generous users donated their unwanted Cipher codes to the prize pool. A big thanks to wobblinghood, Kirie, DancingDanny and geozeldadude!
Originally we had 5 codes to hand out, but now we have 14 (and at least 2 of each unique code), which is a lot more than we could’ve expected!
Because there are so many codes, and to improve the odds of entrants winning at least one code, there will be at least two draws–the first of which already took place yesterday.
Last year, during the early days of the Fire Emblem Cipher card game, Nintendo bundled a bunch of exclusive codes with select products, no doubt to further entice buyers.
Thanks to Bernie_man123, we have some of these codes to give away over on our forums. However please be aware that these codes can only be used on a Japanese region 3DS or 2DS.
So the rest of you don’t go home empty-handed, here’s a belated review of the codes from last year.
To begin with, the codes bundled in Series 1’s starter decks and booster boxes unlocked new guest characters in Fire Emblem Fates.
