Version 2.0 Update Details
Book II
The most exciting aspect of the update is a major addition to the Heroes storyline! The first two chapters of Book II are now available. This story introduces many new characters, both friend and foe. Complete Chapter 1: Part 5 to earn a free 5★ version of Fjorm!
More story chapters will be introduced with further updates.
Weapon Refinery
Complete the new Intermission: The Right of Blades to gain access to the Weapon Refinery. Once you’ve unlocked it, you’ll be able to access it via a new icon on the Home menu underneath the link to the Sacred Forge. The Refinery allows you to upgrade your heroes’ weapons to give them additional stats and abilities. Even some legendary weapons can be enhanced!
In order to unlock these new powers, however, you’ll need some new items: Refining Stones and Arena Medals, which you can earn from Quests. Some powerful weapons also require Divine Dew which is created when you use the Refinery to forge other weapons.
The Notification Screen contains links to view all weapons that can be improved.
Staff Enhancement
Staves have been improved! All 5★ staff users now have access to a + version of their most powerful staff. These upgrades have more Might and in some cases have more powerful effects. Check out these new staves for your 5★ healers in the Learn Skills menu.
Blessings
Blessings are a new mechanic in the game introduced via Legendary Heroes. Each Legendary Hero comes with a Blessing item that matches their element. Give a blessing to a hero of your choice for certain benefits. Check out the Notification Screen or the official Heroes website for further details.
One immediately noticeable aspect of the new Blessings mechanic is the concept of elemental “seasons”. Each season features two blessing elements. You can see the elements for the current season in the upper left of the screen next to your name and stamina. Seasons will change with each Arena season change.
Other Changes
- Some Specials now have shortened cooldowns. You can see a full list within the game.
- The default Barracks limit is now 300. If you have purchased any Barracks enhancements, the extra 100 spots will be added to your current limit.
- Adjustments to Arena Scores and Arena Assault Rankings. Both adjustments will help players get more rewards for playing.
- New My Nintendo Rewards. You can buy up to 10,000 Hero Feathers with My Nintendo Platinum Points.
- Story Mode chapters now cost fewer stamina, with an upper limit of 10 stamina per map.
- Traditional Chinese is now available as a language option.
- Most importantly, you can now hear the “plink” of no-damage when your heroes take zero damage in combat.
