Version 2.0 Update Details
Book II

The most exciting aspect of the update is a major addition to the Heroes storyline! The first two chapters of Book II are now available. This story introduces many new characters, both friend and foe. Complete Chapter 1: Part 5 to earn a free 5★ version of Fjorm!

More story chapters will be introduced with further updates.

Weapon Refinery

Complete the new Intermission: The Right of Blades to gain access to the Weapon Refinery. Once you’ve unlocked it, you’ll be able to access it via a new icon on the Home menu underneath the link to the Sacred Forge. The Refinery allows you to upgrade your heroes’ weapons to give them additional stats and abilities. Even some legendary weapons can be enhanced!

In order to unlock these new powers, however, you’ll need some new items: Refining Stones and Arena Medals, which you can earn from Quests. Some powerful weapons also require Divine Dew which is created when you use the Refinery to forge other weapons.

The Notification Screen contains links to view all weapons that can be improved.

Staff Enhancement

Staves have been improved! All 5★ staff users now have access to a + version of their most powerful staff. These upgrades have more Might and in some cases have more powerful effects. Check out these new staves for your 5★ healers in the Learn Skills menu.

Blessings are a new mechanic in the game introduced via Legendary Heroes. Each Legendary Hero comes with a Blessing item that matches their element. Give a blessing to a hero of your choice for certain benefits. Check out the Notification Screen or the official Heroes website for further details.

One immediately noticeable aspect of the new Blessings mechanic is the concept of elemental “seasons”. Each season features two blessing elements. You can see the elements for the current season in the upper left of the screen next to your name and stamina. Seasons will change with each Arena season change.

Other Changes
  • Some Specials now have shortened cooldowns. You can see a full list within the game.
  • The default Barracks limit is now 300. If you have purchased any Barracks enhancements, the extra 100 spots will be added to your current limit.
  • Adjustments to Arena Scores and Arena Assault Rankings. Both adjustments will help players get more rewards for playing.
  • New My Nintendo Rewards. You can buy up to 10,000 Hero Feathers with My Nintendo Platinum Points.
  • Story Mode chapters now cost fewer stamina, with an upper limit of 10 stamina per map.
  • Traditional Chinese is now available as a language option.
  • Most importantly, you can now hear the “plink” of no-damage when your heroes take zero damage in combat.

for those of you that don’t know, staves in the weapon refinery can get either wrathful staff 3 or dazzling staff 3. be on the look-out for genny in the legendary heroes banner!

    • Diovani Estivalet

Both Genny and Bride Lyn can be amazing now, without you need to sacrifice one of them. Also, Absorb+ surprised me! “After combat, restores 7 HP to allies within 2 spaces of unit.” is a great skill.

      • speedster

you should see the legendary weapon and dragon buffs. broken!!! oh and daggers might be viable. jaffar is a monster. 10 poison strike, watersweep without attack count restriction against mages, 24 savage blow damage plus smoke effects. did i mention takumi teleporting everywhere on the map (he can pass terrains as well, plus escape route)

    • Suicunesol

What do you mean about staves being able to get Wrathful Staff? Does that mean I can upgrade any staff to having a Wrathful Staff effect without needing to pull Genny and inherit?

  • Diovani Estivalet

Doing the weapon refinery quests to forge a better staff for my Genny

  • James Richardson III

The Fates children are featured in Book II. Shiro, Rhajat, Siegbert, and Soleil.

    • Diovani Estivalet

And all 3 are good units.
Both Shiro and Siegbert have great weapons and a great skill set.
Soleil came with the Firesweep Sword, and a high base attak of 38 (neutral, Lv40)
Rhajat is, in my opinion, the weakest in this banner but this do not means she is a bad unit. I want her Keen Gronnwolf.
But I am a little surprised, because I was expecting Kana or Shigure…

  • Well a majority of people are now stating (including me) that they didn’t reach a 5 star until they poured around 90+ orbs. Taking away pity 5 stars really shot down the probability of pulling any SSR within the given color you chosen. Deny it if you want all because you pulled like 3 of this F’rs using like 50-some orbs, but that just makes you that special snowflake that didn’t get screwed by this banner. A majority of players have gotten 5 stars previously with A LOT less effort. I used all of my f2p orbs (around 85) to just end up with a freaking Fjorm….yes….lets put the free chick in the banner -_-, and spent around $30 more bucks while finishing all the chain battles to get nothing still (at that 10% baby~!) And yes….I’m pulling on all but colorless.

    • speedster

I do agree that this banner really screwed people over, from what I heard at least. I guess it goes to show that nothing is as good as it seems. In the future I’m probably going to skip the legendary heroes banner, unless they decide to tone down the units in the focus pool of the legendary banners to something like 6 or 4.

      • speedster

Also, I think this might have sounded like a good idea at first to IS, but if they are getting complaints from this banner then they’ll try something else for the next legendary heroes banner.

      • Im with you on this one. If something like this happens again, I’m staying the hell away from it. Or at the very least not participate unless there’s no free units in it *looking at you Fjorm* For my sanity I’m just going to step away from this banner and just focus on saving what little I can before the Kids come. Since I do want Shiro and Seigbert. 12 orbs from those paralogues + December quests. Watch, I get like 2 SSRs on it with only going into 40some orbs, like how it usually goes with me.

    • Sisyphe

I don’t understand. This banner yields an 8% of pulling a 5*, vs. the usual 6%. How could this be worse? I’m genuinely asking

      • speedster

I don’t really understand either, but a lot of the summon simulations that I did and what others experienced resulted in no 5 stars.

      • Unless someone out there does the calculations, the consensus came up with the answer (that makes sense for the most part) that taking out the off-banner 5 stars severely limits the characters you can get as an SSR. This one you only have 3 of each color. Before, if you pulled like a Klein, Now, Tharja, etc, there would have been a slight chance to get a 5 star variant. But here, there’s 0% chance of pulling any other character as a 5 star. Plus with so many focus units in this banner, that 8% chance of actually pulling one of them on a single pull is spread out thinner than people think, since there’s 12 rate up Heroes instead of the usual 3/4. Because at this stage people would just be thankful to get any SSR after pouring so much into this banner without successful results.

        • Sisyphe

I really wish there was a definitely explanation for summoning (or, if there is, that someone would point me to it). My understanding was that each orb offered a fixed rate, so you had an 8% chance on any given orb, and then the number of units was split from there (so it spins for a 5* and then for a unit). So normally it would be spin for focus 5*, other 5*, and so on, and then for a unit from there. So a focus with a single red unit for instance provided a 3* chance of pulling that unit for each red orb pulled. But I guess that’s not correct?

    • Fallen Crow

I feel bad that bad luck occured to you on this banner. 🙁 With 40 orbs I got 2 Ayras (one from the free summon) and 1 Brave Lyn, so I was lucky I suppose.

  • Bongo Beans

Hector with my free pull and bot all for the other 140 orbs… guess the joke is on me

  • Doubt this is any more rigged than the normal banners. Put 80 orbs in it and got Fjorm, Ike, Camilla and a third Jenny I’m never going to use. Two of them were in a single session.

    • FElord

Meanwhile in my area I’ve put in 80+ orbs and have only pulled a Spring Xander.

      • That sucks. It does feel as if the game somehow keeps track of your previous statistics in some way. My luck in this one feels like it has to do with my misfortunes in the latest banners.

        • FElord

Well got a Brave Lyn today, but like every other player I already had one from the free event

          • That’s something. Been wanting another one myself to give away swift sparrow, but no such luck as of yet.

  • Zog58

300 F2P orbs for two Celica, and Ike (who was my target), and Spring Xander. Don’t snipe colors people, it really hurt my chances. Wish I had pulled a Hector but such is life.

  • Volttekka

I put like 30 orbs in and besides a bunch of junk got my goal Arya.
    Not the worst / 10

  • Diovani Estivalet

Until now, I got Spring Xander, Bride Caeda, Ike and Ayra.
I didn’t have the first 3 units, so I am really happy, but I will continue my search for Celica… WHERE IS MY ZOFIAN PRINCESS?!

  • Logan Daniel Smith

Welp, got Fjorm on my free pull, do I win the game now?

  • Laggalot101

I’ve had a pretty good haul so far on the banner. Got Fjorm, unexpectedly (which I have merged now), a Bridelia (unfortunately -Spd, but with +Atk, she’s not a lost cause) and a Brave Lyn (with a better nature than my previous one). Right now, though… sitting on 10% pity. Ah well, between the TT’s (where I still have a fair bit to go) and at least the Fates kids banner still to come, this certainly won’t be how it ends.

Now, I’m fiercely debating what to do with these water blessings. ‘Cause I summoned Fjorm at random, I now have 2. I don’t know what kind of unit should get it, though, and it’s pretty high commitment right now.

    • Also sat on two blessings, so I just figured an already fast non-blue unit would appreciate it. So I gave it to Eine. Now she’s at 40 base speed+swift sparrow (unmerged) when paired with Fjorm, and they complement each other pretty well. Otherwise just look at her stats and find an unit you have that does what she can’t do. Which could be a physically tanky unit with preferably 35+ spd to begin with.

  • mrkisukes

Pulled Ike, Hector (my 3rd) and S! Camilla…that’s 2 new and a DC to sack for someone. Trying right now to pull for Bridelia, Genny, Ayra, and maybe a better IV S! Camilla (the one I got was -Spd/+Res). Seasonal blessings atm seem inconsequential as they seem rare and overall don’t grant too much of a bonus and must be paired with the Legendary Hero anyways.

Fjorm doesn’t seem busted, but is definitely a solid unit with a base kit that fulfills a specific niche very effectively but can become better with certain skills (steady breath, distant defense, quick riposte, glacier). With the buffs to staves, I might now actually care about making a build of those characters…now they just need to do something about daggers.

    • speedster

did you see daggers in weapon refinery and jaffar’s new style?

      • mrkisukes

Jaffar’s dagger is a legendary weapon, so naturally it’s refinery will include an upgrade, so unless the generic daggers get a universal buff like how staves can get the dazzling or wrathful effect, or breaths get a special upgrade, I don’t know how daggers are improved since I only have a 5* Kagero and H! Sakura, neither of which have weapons that can be refined.

        • speedster

smoke dagger got an insane buff

          • mrkisukes

Seems they did, I didn’t notice since none of my 5* could upgrade, but it seems like weapon refinery is going to make some weapons like poison dagger even less useful…which didn’t make too much sense since poison dagger was easily countered by all the horse and armored units running around in the area, it never once gave me issues. Seems they might add more weapons to the list given time.

          • speedster

true. slieglinde and yato are most likely getting buffs

          • Sisyphe

Agreed. I think the Binding Blade and Brynhildr will need one as well

          • Zog58

Give Binding Blade DC, as it always should have been. Roy would actually become high tier, which would be hilarious.

          • Sisyphe

Binding Blade does give defense buffs, so I can at least see what they were going for, but it gives such meager buffs in Heroes that’s its effectively worthless. Maybe they’ll give it distant counter and let it keep some buffs. Alternatively they could double down on TA and make it a buffed Ruby Sword. I don’t think it will improve Roy’s standing regardless though; his stat spread is just too balanced
